Custom Games Matchmaking could work like this: You could choose to either be the host of a match on your map and gametype, or you could choose to join a host's gametype and map.
Deserved a 10 considering Uncharted 3 got a 10. This packs way more customization, options, has way way more replay value, and is alot more fun, Uncharted was out a year after this and there is less people online on it nowadays. The flaws mentioned here are so minor and pretty much unnoticeable, like at 2:25 to 2:30 , Them flaws are non existent, Not once did something feel less than epic in this game.

@nickrocket3 The BR was actually a bit overpowered to be honest. When I first played halo 3 and into multiplayer, I managed to kill many people with the BR alone. The DMR takes a bit more skill and patients because of bloom.
I think technically the DMR is more powerful because it takes 12 headshots to kill with BR and 5 headshots to kill with the DMR
come on people lets be honest here the only reason why people hate Reach is because Master Chief is not the Hero in it, and because people have that nostalgia of Bungie leaving the Halo franchise, look i understand that Bungie made Halo, but everyone moves on, i've been playing Halo since the first back in 2001 and i love Reach more then 1, 2, 3, Halo Wars and Halo ODST, Halo Reach is awesome in every way yes is a sad story but the game is a masterpiece. so thank you Bungie for Halo!

The reason Halo Reach was sooo different from Halo 3 is because Bungie wanted to show us what they can do in terms of gamplay. Reach was there last halo, so they wanted to ho all out. They didn't want to make reach the same as Halo 3 because to them it just wasn't what they wanted to do.

I played Halo 2 and 3 and loved it, never got to try multiplayer. Played Reach and got to try multiplayer, it became both boring and frustrating, but that may be because I was a CoD bitch at the time, lol.
Basically, which one feels more like Halo and less like CoD? I like change. Also, which one takes more than just spraying the gun to be the best player in the session? Or are they both like that? Which one..?

@Preantepenultim for campaign, id go for halo 3 as its the conclusion to the halo trilogy, also halo 3 had the "halo magic" but for some reason reach just doesnt, reach is good, but theres barely any connection to the other games except for an event that happens near the end of the game i wont spoil. reach is also cool because you can forge anything and you have a huge map to do it on, plus better armor customization, for graphics, halo 3 is prettier but reach is more detailed.
@aperson30 well in my opinion odst was too dark, halo 3 was too colorful making it look sorta gay, and reach is the perfect balence between contrast in color, lighting effects, and LOTS of detail. the game looks beautiful man, it's just some areas in reach may look too dark and gritty and dull. for example forge world, looks good but the water in halo 3 looks way better.
@aperson30 true that halo reach does not have the halo mysterious feeling, true that it doesn't end the trilogy but seriously, reaches campaign is way better. it's quiet in the begginning, then theres little firefights, then you get to fight up to 40 ai at one time in the huge environments like a city, then you move into space and have huge space battles. pluse you have up to 10 ai on your side making it even more intense
@halo31004 imo 3 is better for campaign, i dont really know why, i think its the scarab battles. im not saying reach looks bad its just not colorful like 3, some places it is though, but just look at the plasma grenades, in 3 they were super bright blue, in reach they are like a dull ish blue. idk i just felt halo 3 was prettier but thats just me.
@Preantepenultim and as for the gun play, they're basically the same, halo 3 has a larger variety of vehicles, equipment and weapons, but reach has armor lock and the jetpack, also reach has a different shield system where you have to completely lower your enemy's shield before they cant be killed, like in 3 you could lower there shield half way and beat them down, in reach you would have to completely lower it. all in all, i like 3 more, but reach does have some additions.
They want to make a CoD game that will be space warfare? All the Spartans and Marines who died defending Reach are doing facepalms whenever they hear that.

cod or any fps will never get the acheivement of, your rules, your game, your map, and all the custom game options with the map editor. cod and other fps's are based off of one game type which is shoot and kill, while in halo there are hundreds of game types and objectives that are based off of shoot and kill, plus non shoot and kill stuff. for example you can play skee ball in an fps and still get credits just off of that which is pretty damn impressive. this game has VERY high replay value.
im a halo fan to the core and reach was great. although it wasnt as good as halo 3 in my opinion, its still up on my top game list, bring on halo 4 :D<3

I mean its gets very repeatative! how different is the gameplay from before? not that different. i got tired of playing halo reach. the campaign is still amazing. there are also almost no guns. usually in maps, there is the sniper, needler, energy sword, dmr, needler, needle rifle, assault rifle, and that is usually it. some maps have more, but that is it. i prefer other shooters, but that is just me.
I agree Halo 1 and halo reach were best for gameplay while halos 2-3 were best for story. lets be honest, the best aspect of gameplay is fighting elites. the elites in halo 1 and reach were fucking alsome to play against. theyr all dipping and dodging ur gun fire; and roll out of the way when you throw a grenade...very intense. The elites in halo 2, and the brutes in halo 3 were for the most part boring to play against. they just kinda stand there or run straight at you while you shoot at them.
I just got Halo Reach and I was expecting to really like the Halo game but the shooting is really hard and the Multiplayer options are very confusing, hopefully I can get used to the problems.

hmmm... Halo's fanbase is more mature, the game itself still looks appealing after over a year, the vehicles are easier to control from what i hear... and i can't get on RoosterTeeth's Fails of the Weak playing Battlefield... and Reach is less expensive.

The general story of halo reach is to stop the covenant forces from glasing in the entire planet (The covenant are religius nuts and like glasing planets). watch ign's halo in 5 minuts. I miss the golden days of Xbox Live when everyone loved Halo. All of the memories.. Hopefully Halo 4 can revive the Halo community and take away some of COD's thunder.
One of the best video games ever made. It's been a year and a half since this came out and I still get shivers every time the title screen boots up. An absolutely stunning achievement. Reach can truly stand toe-to-toe with classics like Ocarina of Time, Resident Evil 4 and Half Life 2 in the masterclass of gaming.

@Preantepenultim for campaign, id go for halo 3 as its the conclusion to the halo trilogy, also halo 3 had the "halo magic" but for some reason reach just doesnt, reach is good, but theres barely any connection to the other games except for an event that happens near the end of the game i wont spoil. reach is also cool because you can forge anything and you have a huge map to do it on, plus better armor customization, for graphics, halo 3 is prettier but reach is more detailed.

@aperson30 well in my opinion odst was too dark, halo 3 was too colorful making it look sorta gay, and reach is the perfect balence between contrast in color, lighting effects, and LOTS of detail. the game looks beautiful man, it's just some areas in reach may look too dark and gritty and dull. for example forge world, looks good but the water in halo 3 looks way better.

@aperson30 true that halo reach does not have the halo mysterious feeling, true that it doesn't end the trilogy but seriously, reaches campaign is way better. it's quiet in the begginning, then theres little firefights, then you get to fight up to 40 ai at one time in the huge environments like a city, then you move into space and have huge space battles. pluse you have up to 10 ai on your side making it even more intense

@halo31004 imo 3 is better for campaign, i dont really know why, i think its the scarab battles. im not saying reach looks bad its just not colorful like 3, some places it is though, but just look at the plasma grenades, in 3 they were super bright blue, in reach they are like a dull ish blue. idk i just felt halo 3 was prettier but thats just me.

@Preantepenultim and as for the gun play, they're basically the same, halo 3 has a larger variety of vehicles, equipment and weapons, but reach has armor lock and the jetpack, also reach has a different shield system where you have to completely lower your enemy's shield before they cant be killed, like in 3 you could lower there shield half way and beat them down, in reach you would have to completely lower it. all in all, i like 3 more, but reach does have some additions.

cod or any fps will never get the acheivement of, your rules, your game, your map, and all the custom game options with the map editor. cod and other fps's are based off of one game type which is shoot and kill, while in halo there are hundreds of game types and objectives that are based off of shoot and kill, plus non shoot and kill stuff. for example you can play skee ball in an fps and still get credits just off of that which is pretty damn impressive. this game has VERY high replay value.

And there are hundreds of games that have had sprinting before COD. The game play in halo reach is vastly different from cod, from an FPS point of view.

I mean its gets very repeatative! how different is the gameplay from before? not that different. i got tired of playing halo reach. the campaign is still amazing. there are also almost no guns. usually in maps, there is the sniper, needler, energy sword, dmr, needler, needle rifle, assault rifle, and that is usually it. some maps have more, but that is it. i prefer other shooters, but that is just me.

I agree Halo 1 and halo reach were best for gameplay while halos 2-3 were best for story. lets be honest, the best aspect of gameplay is fighting elites. the elites in halo 1 and reach were fucking alsome to play against. theyr all dipping and dodging ur gun fire; and roll out of the way when you throw a grenade...very intense. The elites in halo 2, and the brutes in halo 3 were for the most part boring to play against. they just kinda stand there or run straight at you while you shoot at them.

hmmm... Halo's fanbase is more mature, the game itself still looks appealing after over a year, the vehicles are easier to control from what i hear... and i can't get on RoosterTeeth's Fails of the Weak playing Battlefield... and Reach is less expensive.

The general story of halo reach is to stop the covenant forces from glasing in the entire planet (The covenant are religius nuts and like glasing planets). watch ign's halo in 5 minuts. One of the best video games ever made. It's been a year and a half since this came out and I still get shivers every time the title screen boots up. An absolutely stunning achievement. Reach can truly stand toe-to-toe with classics like Ocarina of Time, Resident Evil 4 and Half Life 2 in the masterclass of gaming.
