I have this amp the master vol knob is fucked, turn it up or down, & it's all scratchy, there is no vol control the vol "swells" & fades even with the vol all the down there is still sound sometimes even loud sound ....help please, & please no smartass comments

With your experience how do you consider the spider valve now ? Do your guitars sound the same as in other amps ? Would you say it's a good amp to play all styles of music ?

It is a cool amp..you can do alot with it... it takes a little getting used to..and getting the tone you're looking for...but it is an awesome amp....

Nice playing man! Personally I like a bit more melody than shredding, not saying that it was bad though. I also think your cliffs of dover preset is a bit harsh, and doesnt have the really creamy character that Eric Johnsons' tube overdrive has. I think he uses an AC booster to get his tone, maybe you should try one out if you really want that sound. But in my opinion, It's always better to be an individual than copy something someone else has already done, and I think you did that pretty well.

Its a decent amp for the money.Lacks the headroom needed for high db levels,but small gigs it sounds pretty good.You can do tons of covers that sound good with some tweaking,without spending alot on effects to do them.Way better than anything line6 has done before,but for prctice and small gigs very much worth 800 bucks.My recto and effects are well into 10g,though this amp doesnt sound as good and lacks the headroom,its still well worth the dough.especialy if your just getting started.

My 147hd,doesnt have the headroom the 100 watt head has and i run a Mesa 412 standard under that.But for small gigs 60+ bar,4 piece band no problem.Any bigger ive gatta set up the recto,check my page i satand by what i say,lol,peace bro.

I played a 1958 Gibson LP and it sucked...this was a better playing guitar and actually sounded better through the Marshall I was playing through... I call it a les paul simply of the shape it isn't but I also call any guitar that looks like a strat a strat it just doesn't carry the fender name on it but it is still a knock off of....Sorry for the misconception

well a 1958 isnt exactly the best lespaul. play a gibson 08' standard or an 08' studio (cheaper but doesnt look as nice) it will melt your face off
