Update comment...after 2 years ago. LOL I think the Hydro Surge was awesome now that i remember riding it! I loved the first waterfall it had once you left that dark tunnel at the beginning of the ride, then Bam!, a huge waterfall dumped loads of water onto the riders! What a blast this was and you got wetter on it compared to the Log Flume. I know right, Family Kingdom STILL looks descelent & "throwed away" compared to how the Pavilion looked. The Pavilion was very well kept up!

Why?!!! Why?! did they have to tear this place down!!! hard rock park was a failure!!! bring this place back!!! nothings in place of this park!!! what was the point of tearing it down for some grass and a few palm trees?!!! seriously theres nothing there now!!!

Hydro Surge was an ok ride. I had been going to the Pavilion since i was 7, the year, 1988. I remember when the Log Flume was their only water ride, and the park itself ended at the end of the Log Flume...as far back as it goes. My dad recorded onto VHS tape back then of some Pavilion footage, never am i letting that go! Too Rare! The Hydro Surge was cool, but my fav. would have to be the Log Flume.

OMG i love that ride i went on it like a million times lol......to bad they closed down the Pavilion..i got to Myrtle Beach every summer!
