Nokia 6288 LCD screen repair

Dude halp! I replaced the screen but when I turn this phone on, the scrren just doean't even react! Even the lights (of the screen) don't show up.

so i've a Nokia 6280 and is still working since 2005.. yes, kinda old but seriously i love it.

The problem is the flap, it moves all the time when it's lowered ( you know when is down, when i sliding down in fact.. ) now could you just tell me what can i do ?.. please ? ( sorry for the mistakes in gram. )

You need to be REALLY careful taking the screen fascia off. I bought a replacement case (blue) because the tabs on the back cover had come off. When I took the front fascia off it broke! Luckily I was gonna bin it anway.

Swapped screen , Powered up , Got the nokia logo which wasn't appearing before but then blank screen lol , You win some you lose some i guess . Might try the reset to factory nam code and see if i can reset the momery

ok so my 6288's lcd is fine in terms of it didn't shatter or anything but it screens light doesn't work anymore. Is this an lcd related problem? Thank you

My backlight wasn't working on my 6288, so I tried this.

I get to the point to remove the tin/whatever from the screen and did that without any problems. I noticed the flex ribbon seems to be the problem. If it is gently pushed in certain ways the backlight works. Anyway I put the tin back on a closed the mobile and now the darn screen aint working fullstop.I noticed you mentioned that the tin is very important for this reason. Any suggestions on how to get it working again?btw im from Mel too

under the battery you dick. open the back cover and take out the battery and there will be a little metal hinge. Grab it and pull it open and voila, you'll be sucking your own penis in no time. Wait, if you dont know where to put the sim card, do you even know if your phone is a nokia 6288? what the fuck. do you even know what a phone is

didnt fix my issue 100% that i know of (faulty cable) but i was able to wiggle the cable into a stable possition :) nice going mate very detailed phone fix :)

If you buy the screen from EBAY you should get the tools with the screen. Most of the screens come with a "Free Gift" that is the tools. Any more questions just ask.

@FanatikosAO2 I used a knife for mine...it's not the same problem with that phone in the vid....My phone make's lines and change collors and when i remove the phone face it's normal....

I was so pleased with this phone, but in a morning I woke up and my 6288 was switching on and off,vibrating, moving around through menu..What a hell happened?I reinstalled the firmware 2 times and has the same problem.Any advice?I'm pretty sure that it;s not a virus

Sounds like a loose connection to me. Might be worth taking it to a repair guy, unless you can do it yourself. it shouldn't cost more than 50-70 bucks
