Tried making a supersoaker the same way. The instructions I read called for using PVC glue, but since we don't have that where I live, I decided to use Duct tape. The immense pressure caused leaks to appear, but when I taped it all over, the leaks stopped. Until it exploded, due to my carelessness :P
