Not to sound nit-picky, but how in the hell did the first laser cut through her throat in that manner? The laser was going straight forward, yet it sliced through her neck diagonally, without cutting through her chin or anything else. Not to mention that the laser looked to be too high up to even reach her neck.

It's little things like this that ruin an otherwise interesting death scene.

The black couldn't have known that stepping back would have saved his life. The only reason those lasers stopped right behind him was because that's the exact moment the other guy shut them down. The black guy was probably giving himself enough room to do another dodge (like he did with the 2nd laser) but when he saw the grid, he froze.

Bottom Line: An epic death that couldn't have been avoided.

I can ignore the virus that creates zombies. I can ignore the architectural impossibility of an entire underground complex such as this. I can ignore the logistics of sending 8 guys in to disengage a city-sized facility. I can even ignore the fact that the black guy defied physics and remained completely horizontal on the strength of his grip alone. But I cannot ignore the fact that lasers cannot cross other lasers and remain intact. So a "grid" pattern makes no sense.
