im sure this isnt the strumming pattern but to me it sounds familiar and i still cant get your strumming down, but can i do D, DU,U, D on the first up strum string i do that pinky on the 3rd fret of B and then i realease the pinky for the second up strum?
I use D'Addario EJ16's. They start with a .12 High E string. The Ovation in this video is a 1992 Collector's Series (serial # 1635). I am the original owner and I have the certificate. I love this guitar.

@ArtMan659 Capo 5th fret so the C chord if actually sounding as an F. I explain where the capo is and why starting about 1:35.
