Really, they're just as dynamic as random spawns, nothing more. In GW2 they follow chains that can branch into different paths. They follow story, and, more importantly, they inspire people to work together (whereas in Rifts you're fighting "alongside", not together).
@Raptor8762 I know a couple of things for sure! GW2 had this concept since aprox 2006. Dynamic event in rift is "a gate is open close the gate by killing". GW 2's dynamic events are based of cause and effect, critically shapes the world etc. If you really are interested and you are willing to search pls do so just don't judge by one thought only:).

@Master10k2 Well its true tanks and healers should be blamed for the whips because they are like the boss of the company, if the boss fails on encouraging the workers or doesn't be hard enough on the workers how will the workers be good.
@SuperMoinkers And what about all those terrible DPS'er I've come across whilst playing Rift. They don't get blamed for crap. I've had times when they stand in front of a boss, get cleaved a couple times and blame me for not healing them or times when DPS just have terrible DPS, making the encounter take so much longer. DPS deserve the blame from time to time, just that nobody notices them. Now in GW2, people will notice them. ^_^
@SuperMoinkers And that's what I started doing once I got a DPS meter in Rift. Whenever I saw a DSP'er doing barely more than the Tank, I would vote to kick them, especially since getting a new one was almost instant. That's the kind of social gaming the Holy Trinity has brought about. I play a Tank or Healer, because I'm not expendable. :P
