@Protomasterexe Well, I agree (sort of) for Vista and 7. XP and earlier bear no resemblance, and I'm not sure KDE existed when XP came out. But after really using Windows 7 as my primary OS (on my Windows side anyway), I retract my statement thet they didn't steal. Aero is a blatant knockoff of KDE.
Hey Windows 7 actually did. U r just not using the whole benefits of KDE. :) BTW thanks for the tutorial. I have used KDE on Opensuse and it was actually a lot like WIndows 7
hey, i wanted to ask, (even though i'll sound like a noob) how do you7 actually GET into KDE after you log out... i believe its at the bottom of the log-in screen.. is that right?
Maybe you just have to try the new version of KDE, 4.2 Also it is possible that your problems come from some driver problems.
If you want to try see another menu, try Lancelot. Maybe that is more for your taste. It can be very like Ubuntus default Menu bar(App, Places, Config), if you use the lancelot parts for example.
Can you change back?

@TomHopkins24 Yes. When you are at the login screen, there will be an option called "session" where you can pick.

Nobody ever said W7 copied KDE
However people didn't see any difference before W7 was out...
