  • Going to make this one day

  • Speed Racer: "Screw the Mach-5, I'm gonna own Rex in this sweet ride!"

  • 'kwist helemaal niet dat je uit nederland komt, hoe oud ben je

  • i have also build a quite different chainraider. very cool concept

  • @noudgoertz thanks :)

  • Dude u got so much time and money

  • grappig!

  • how many tracks on each side?

  • @LegendaryMan100 i don't know by heart, let's count from the instructions... i see 2x8+2x9=34 threads on each side, and then the front wheel has another 10 threads, so all in all 78 threads in the model. Does that help?

  • will the chain links break??

  • @powerpunch560 the chains did not break, but i did not try to really hard :). Perhaps if you do try really hard by driving top speed into some sharp edge they may come lose. Even then i believe they just break lose and you can click them together again.

    Happy drifting!

  • awesome :)

  • @SuperAiden101 thanks

  • looks fearsome man

  • @rockntroopen yes it is, thanks :)

  • were did you get the "mr chainrider"

  • @752ada it is just my own creation (MOC) from the lego bulldozer set. Anyone can rebuild from the instructions, you just (well, just) need the LEGO bulldozer set.

  • Awesome. I wish This was in stores. Lego should hire you.

  • @Elliot5075 thanks for your comment! Actually the bulldozer set from which i made this IS in the store, you just need to rebuild along the instructions.

  • Racing, drifting, spinning, flipping ... the ultimate race toy! Very spectacular. Great video too: Thanks for the inspiration & video tips.

  • its very good the chain wheel is fantastic and it sprin very good

  • Glad you like it!

  • the rubber bands were for grip right?

  • yes indeed.

Both with and without are fun: with rubber for wheelies and flips, without for drifting!

  • This would be great fun in my newly built arena! I love the inside-out tracks-for-wheels idea. If you added another crossbeam for support inside those wheels, perhaps the (apparent) tracklink breaking might be reduced?

  • Thanks!

Please be aware that there is NO breaking.

Moreover, i found no issue whatsoever with my tracks when put back in ordinary use after having them for months as chainrider wheels. So do not be scared off needlessly, but have fun instead :)

  • so clever wheels!! I like it very much (usually i like scale models)!

  • Thanks, credits for the wheels should go to Techn0 M0ves!

  • zie toch wel.... ik dacht altijd dat je engels was, maar wat voor motors heb je gebruikt??

power functions, dat weet ik wel, maar een grote of de kleine, ben ff de naam kwijt XD.

  • I used "medium" Power Functions motors for this one.

There is also a ChainRider XL with the XL motors, geared up 1 to 3, which is faster than this one.

  • Are you dutch??

  • yes i am.

  • This is awesome.

But I'm just warning you guys DO NOT TRY IT, I tried it and left the chains in the circles and when I went to go to put them back to their normal configuration they did not stay together properly and popped apart all the time. Idk if I made the circles too tight, but now I have like 20 links that don't work properly :(

  • Hi Scorge120,

    Sorry to hear that!

Frankly, i never noticed the effect you describe, but then again, i never rebuild the dozer afterwards. My chains have been in chainriders for weeks or months, with 36 links per wheel, i believe.

I hope that your links restore to their original form over time, so you can use them again.

    Thanks for warning us all!

  • Yeah I've noticed that they've started to mesh again properly, just a few pop a part but w.e. you can't always win :P

Have you tried putting them back to their original configuration as tracks? Mine were only left together for just barely a week and when I went to go use them as treads I was dissapointed to find out that they didn't stay together anymore.

  • I have not tried putting them back as tracks, so i never noticed what you described. Hope they will ultimately all snap properly again...

  • this reminds me of those sepratist hailfire thingys from starwars...

  • Mmm, i guess i am not familiar with these, but i take it as compliment anyway :)

Any pictures or video clips you can refer to, to help me out?

    Thx for your comment :)

  • at what store can you get the (Power functions)

  • Almost any store that has toys has LEGO, i assume, and this was build from the LEGO Bulldozer set, so with one of those sets you are 'in business' ;)

  • nice

  • make a vid on how to make the lego chain rider

    because it is sooooooooooooooooo kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkllllllllllllllllllll

  • I hope my MOCpages and the instruction for the ChainRider allow you to build it, you need to follow the pictures in reverse as specified on MOCPages.

Let me know if u need further help.

    Happy building/riding!

  • neato, i like the inside out chain into wheel idea. very creative.

  • Thanks! To be honest, it was my son who observed that inside-out chains yield a stiff ring.

  • cool

  • Very original! Good idea, and soooo playable! :) A big 5 star rating!

  • Wow it`s cool!

I first saw it on mocpages.

    greetings from joel sägesser

  • omg i want one :P

  • cooool
