@gamp0001 The Seattle protest was most likely primarily American and the protest over Berkeley raising tuition was undoubtedly all American and unrelated to the G8 "whacknuts" as no foreign interests were at play. On that occasion you had all-American college kids on a rampage that destroyed significant public and private property. Most people in this country aren't inherently violent or easily driven to violence.

I agree that vandalism is violence, but it's a long way from actual shooting, and the protest warrior clip has a lot of people screaming "assault", but no footage of it actually happening. I'd include the clip from the tea party protest, where the union goon shoves a protester's wife, and then punches the guy when he tries to stop the shoving. Just saying that there are better examples of leftist extremism than these clips portray.

On that occasion you had all-American college kids on a rampage that destroyed significant public and private property. I agree that vandalism is violence, but it's a long way from actual shooting, and the protest warrior clip has a lot of people screaming "assault", but no footage of it actually happening. I'd include the clip from the tea party protest, where the union goon shoves a protester's wife, and then punches the guy when he tries to stop the shoving. Just saying that there are better examples of leftist extremism than these clips portray.

Basically, democrats that weren't hippies, (Socialist Marxists). During Reagan, they would have been called "Reagan Democrats." I believe the term nowadays is "Blue Dog" democrats. All those are opposite of what liberalism is about. Liberalism is about the expansion of opportunity. Just because someone says he is liberal, doesn't mean he is liberal. Just as people who call themselves conservative (republicans) are not conservative.
Barack Obama for instance is a conservative. And his opponents (politically or verbally) like Sarah Palin, John McCain, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck are anti-conservative or Populist.

Right now, I agree with the leftists that most threats of domestic violence come from the right. This is because the left has the power. Leftist violence in this day and age is committed mainly by the state. Since Obama got elected domestic left wing extremism has obviously slowed. Even when Bush was in office, the lefties are incompetant, for the most part just ego tripping and playing games. This is why their violence is generally less serious than right wing violence... smaller cojones.

I don't think the left is really in power. If they were, there would be single payer insurance, the bush administration would have been been in trial, and jailed, and there wouldn't be any talk of bipartisanship.
