  • What store did you buy this from? I would like to get one but I'm a hands on kind of guy don't like buying online.

  • @petesterchak1000 I have the very good fortune of being able to go into a knife shop that is a distributor. He is getting more and more of their products. PM where you live and I'll let you know if you're near.... ;)

  • Roscoe, which is your pick...remora or proteus?

    THX

  • @sablebush Good question. I guess for the fact that the Proteus is a waistpack and the Remora has a strap that lays the bag on the back upper part of your back, I'd say the Remora. Surprisingly, I have swapped out the contents of one to the other and the Proteus actually holds more stuff! Perhaps it's the tidy organization. Those pockets on the sides are so handy for keys and cell phone. Ok, I see I'm not helping. lol I say Remora...

  • After further research, I might go Lunada instead all (around edc/lunch). Keep rockin', Roz! Your vids are great!

  • @trilldaddy07 Ah! Good choice. I love the size of the Lunada. It was perfect for my EDC and even more. However, the front strap was too thick and wide, for a woman's chest, so had to trade it back. Guys will be able to pull it off though no prob. enjoy!

  • Would the remora be a good lunch bag? Is it insulated (enough)? Could it fit maybe a tupperware and 2 16oz bottles of water?

    Good review, as always.

  • @trilldaddy07 Many thanks, Drew. Without having it at hand, I would say that it would! It's a cool little pack. I'd say to go for it.

  • @trilldaddy07 Oh, of note, no it is not at all insulated.

  • nice review it helped. thanks

  • Eh no problem. I was just a bit surprised as all your reviews are usually so factual and detailed. I guess we're all allowed a flippant moment :-)

  • @DarkFire515 haha I'm quite sure this Remora vid was my *very first* YoutTube vid! I had to start the channel to see if I could do a project for somebody and just made this vid and tossed it up there. 90+ vids later and I've come a long way, baby... :)

  • Carry my "dagger" to school? Really?

  • @DarkFire515 No, you shouldn't bring a dagger to school. That was a joke in poor taste. Forgive me.

  • I have a colossus and it's great!I just wish it had that handle on top like this bag.Great review!

  • I love the way you man handle everything.

  • Can you add a cell phone attachment to this bag? Perhaps to the sling?

  • @shysterlicious The only molle attachment on the sling is at the top by the handle. So, it would be between your shoulder blades. Great molle on either side of the pack perfect for a cell phone holder!

  • ive had this ver for months ..starting to wish i got the Lunada :) but it works for what i use it for a Macgryver action satchel :) not a man purse!!!

  • Great video! I purchased the Jetboil Java Kit after watching your nice review on it.

May I ask if this Remora Gearslinger can fit the Jetboil and a Nalgene 32 oz bottle. I saw your review on the Active Shooter Bag but the Remora Gearslinger would be better for my Jetboil and Nalgene since it is bigger (?) to accomodate a spare fuel canister. Thank you in advance for your reply and please keep the good reviews coming.

  • lol- 'velcro your GUN in here'- said without pause- typical american

  • Great review. Thanks for sharing

  • Not yet, I have been distracted by other hobbies, I just set up a paypal so I can order stuff from Europe and I have been preoccupied with college

  • I'm gettin one, in type 1 diabetic and need something new to carry my shit in, along with batteries, blades, iPod, brush, blades notebooks and fun stuff

  • @Wabaanimkii hahah cool. Did you get the Remora after all...?

  • @DienekesAurelius This Remora is khaki as I have lotsa stuff in foliage now. Thx Dienkes!

  • @RoscoeBa I just pay close attention to what you say :-)

  • Is the Remora Gearslinger larger than the Versipak Jumbo . . which holds more? Thanks?

  • @026985 I guess the Jumbo does. The Remora is tight and compact and the Jumbo has more compartments of space (the bottle holder, back zipper sleeve, main compat, front space and GP pouch on the side. Yes, I'd say The Jumbo is larger and will carry more stuff for you.

  • Roz's last comments: "That's the groovey" - lol - love it.

  • @Castleknight You're funny, Bob. How did you catch on to that?? lol

  • i was thinking about getting one of these for bicycling. does it seem stable enough for that?

  • @27dcx Absolutely stable enough for biking. Will stay well back there for ya.

  • Roz, I enjoy your channel and your reviews. I do have a question about the Remora. Have you tried placing a netbook in one? I'm looking to ditch the bulky laptop and laptop bag when traveling. Wondered how the Remora would work in that regard.....Cary

  • @r54070 Sorry I can't answer taht, Cary, as I don't have a netbook. My guess though would be that the Lunada would be a much more useful pack to carry something like that. I love the size of the Lunada.

  • @RoscoeBa Thanks for the recommendation Roz. I'll check it out.

  • I think coyote is the color you are trying to describe.

  • @rangerdanger222 Coyote is more of a brown base...? This Maxpedition khaki has so much olive green in it. It really is nice though. Thx Ranger!

  • ur missing 1 thing........a jack knife....where can i get one? i like idea of handle on top too. thx 4 showing us.........karen. also what is cost?

  • @cougarbahia Hi Karen. Yeah, this was before my "knife days". lol I have a few I can toss in that Remora now. You can get the Remora on ebay. Ezeedeal has always worked well for me there. Super-fast shipping.

  • This looks like the Lunada Gearslinger? what's the difference between these?

  • @Gonamez The Lunada is bigger: 390 cubic inches vs. 225 cubic inches in the Remora. The Lunada has an additional horizontal strap that helps stabilize the bag, while walking, etc.

  • hidden pocket?

  • After thinking about it for a minute I would probably put a small umbrella through that front pocket. Thanks again for sharing.

  • AWESOME review! Thanks so much for sharing!!

  • @Nicktx27 This Remora is khaki. Go to my "Colors" vid to see khaki and OD green next to each other. My Active Shooter Bag vid is another sample of OD green.

  • thanks for yur comments on the color. does what you say apply to other items like the Sitka? it seems th epictures online are different on each site and each angle of the product, making the khaki appear to vary from yellow to green to brown to pink!

  • I wonder what is the best survival / bail out bag that are not too big, but large enough to store essential items. I have pack back Rush 24 by 5.11 tactical, but I am now looking for something for a car. Maxpedition FR1 would be too small.... I like the bag that opens flat all the way down. And perhaps can hook the bag over my shoulder instead of back pack style... any suggestion?

  • good review love all the sound effects. lol

  • can you slide a Asus Eeepc 10" netbook in there?

  • Hmmmm.. I would think likely not. You may want to consider the Lunada if you like this type of bag. Lunada is quite a bit more spacious than the Remora.

  • thanks for the measurements. They helped alot

  • @ 7:48..the elastic band on the outside works great to temporarily (sp) put your windbreaker, towel, ... soft items

great review, best ive seen on this...just cant decide between this and the versipak

  • Thx Todd. They are really so different. If you like the Jumbo size then the Lunada should be your comparator. Let us know what you ended up doing.

  • Great review. I loved your description of the size at 6:20 . I haven't been able to find these at the local outdoor gear stores... Any suggestions for where to get my hands on Maxpedition equipment before I hit the purchase button? Thanks again.

  • I just ordered the Kodiak. I think I will give my remora to my gf. Thanks 4 the great idea and the great vid :)

  • Women do such awesome reviews on tactical bags. "This is for your sump'm sump'm, yeah." lol The sheer excitement for all its features gets me excited myself. "The main compartment is HUGE! HUGE!!!" Hahahaha! I love it! LOVE the review. Thank you. It really is a great bag, isn't it?

  • good stuff. you can buy a mini roly-poly dump pouch, put on side and have your liter of water

  • great informative video good sir. I was wondering if my Buckmark pistol would fit in this bag, your ruler part of the video helped me out in seeing just that. thanks.

  • Awesome! She's got my bluetooth head set. Its a great model.

  • Is yours old too? Mine is like 3 years old, all skanky, but still works like a champ.

  • I think mine's about a year and a half. I absolutely love it. It has worked seamlessly with everything I have connected it too, and it sounds wonderful.

  • do you think a dslr camera will fit in the large compartment?

  • I replied to LowinCash via PM and said that the Remora might be a bit small for DSLR gear and thought the Lunada might be a better fit for that kind of stuff. I think folks say the Colossus is padded...?

  • your cool

  • So are u. ;-)

  • thank u so much fer dis amazing vid! cant wait 2 own 1! =o)

  • Thx TM!

  • It's great to see a woman with a real utility bag, and not some tiny retarded fashion thing that holds almost nothing. I'd high five you if this wasn't the internet. >.>

  • Back atcha!

  • Your reviews are great!

  • Thx again, Peter. Always nice to hear from you.

  • Great revivew nice to see a Woman do a revivew of a bag hehe but keep em coming

    Best Regard

    Peter Nielsen

    Denmark

  • Peter is m'man! :-)

  • nice, clean review. tks.

  • Awesome comment, UncleVit. I try to keep my vids focused on the item and show every little detail. I learn alot from comments and other reviews and should include those tidbits in Account Updates. Take care.

  • I'm getting to be quite fond of Twitter. Just opened an account as RoscoeBa. Follow me. Let's all meet up out there and talk about hot EDC tacticool stuff.

  • The bungee cord is typically used for a lightweight jacket, windbreaker, etc. Roll it up and stuff it under the bungee and you're good to go!

  • Nice review, thanks!

  • Your rite it is Khaki and no kidding maxpedition needs to really redo the pictures on its site nothing looks the same it seems .

  • Wow I like this one too, great review, now I need to decide which to get lol

  • The velcro on the inside is probably for magazine pouches. Great Review!

  • Good review of the everyday uses of gear. Love the perspective because most dudes look at things from a totally different perspective and use. Not to get all gender specific, but it is nice for a more broadened perspective.

  • Great Vid very well explained...This review is why I bought mine...

  • Who ARE you? You crack me up :) I'm off to watch your other reviews. I didn't even want to buy this bag until I saw your review. Thanks for the information and for brightening my day. Also, I didn't know the correct pronunciation for "Moleskine" was "Moh-lay-skeena". Who knew?--I didn't. The bag won't be the same without the sound effects, though.

  • Outstanding! Very entertaining and informative review. Like your style...

  • I like your sound effects.

  • Great bag you got there, it's in Foliage Green by the way. Maxpedition makes great products dont they? Good video.

  • Thx to you all for the kind words. Regarding colors of these MaxPed products... I do have a Jumbo and Thermite in Foliage Green and the MCAP and Remora in khaki. I went to a shop in town that has Maxped to check out the OD green. I should really do a video of them all side by side to show the difference in color and tone. Its so hard online to see these colors! The Remora really is khaki and I love that its not a really light color. Thx again folks!

  • It's hard to tell some of the colors. Your right though, Maxpedition needs to explain and display their stuff side by side for color selections. There should be a pocket in there where you can store a small handgun (with the velcro holster) you probbly know this since your a Maxpedition Junkie. All I have is Maxpedition bags and stuff, I love their gear. I just wished it was made in US.

    Keep up the good videos.

    Tampons.... LOL.

  • maxpedition make good bags but seriously overpriced. I bet these cost less than adolar to manafacure. Its becoming more evident lately how all products are overpriced. HOw else would greedy governments be richer than the rest of humanity

  • Thanks for an outstanding review. I have one on the way. Seeing it in such a context is much better than the photos online. Your use of the ruler and seeing it handled really gave the perspective I was looking for. I have ordered things in the past and my expectations were not realized. For example I ordered a Maxpedition fat boy but opted for the Jumbo. This was due to size not quality. Thanks again!

  • Very nice look at this Maxpedition product. I have been addicted to them for quite some time, and have way too many than I'll ever use. But that did not stop me from ordering a Remora! RoscoeBa, you easy style and humor helped make this one great. I want to see more. Cheers.

  • You are thinking of Olivedrab. That is the color.

  • Very entertaining review. I think I am going to get the Lunada.

  • Great review... I Got the Lunada my self as Manpurse / Diaper Bag...

  • awesome review!!!!

  • Great review!!!!

Looks Like A Great EDC Bag
