I'm not sure, apparently three of them decided to dismantle and try their skate boards on this dike about six or seven years ago. The group grew and repeated the event every year since. Look at them: the sheer joy of wandering off the paved path is obvious. That must be their inspiration. Real fun is cheap and rich at the same time. No designer clothes were harmed during the shooting of this film.
