@OceansApprentice actually thats not true, i use to work on the flight deck and theres no way that it was the aircrews fault. its not up to the pilot when the catapult is shot. no matter when he goes into afterburner hes not going anywhere till the catapult is shot. the yellowshirt never gave them the ok to go so im not sure what happened there

This video could most definitely be real. I experienced my first flight ops on the flight deck about a month ago and I can personally vouch that ANYTHING can happen on the flight deck and NOBODY is safe. The more safe you think you are, the more prone you are to an incident. Things just like this video are definitely not impossible. Hell, I got cooked by an EA-18G Growler my 3rd time up there because a handler taxi'd a plane in the wrong place and my partner grabbed me and threw behind one.
