  • I also need to add that his book on Lyrics and especially the idea about buying a rhyming dictionary was another fantastic tip..since reading that book I have been writing great lyrics (that I love anyway!) Night all!

  • Hi all! SORRY I had to create a video response but stupid YT wouldn't let me post a link.

Hello Rikky or TFAT (I'm well confused who is who here???) Anyway I bought the RR book Arranging songs and the acoustic tip he said about guitar 1 plays open chords and guitar 2 plays bar chords has been an amazing tip thank you so much, it fills the song out so good

If you are interested you can hear how I have doubled up the acoustics here..GREAT TIP!

  • love this tune,i found it on a cd on guitar player about 8 years ago and learnt it from there.its nice to see someone else play it

  • Hello TimeForATwang,

I enjoyed your performance of my piece. Thanks for posting.

Creissels - are you willing to reveal your identity? Cardiff, eh? Thanks for the compliment.

Loraine70 - no, he isn't the guy who does the guitar books, that's me. Do you have a question?

Note correct spelling is Rikky, not Ricky

This open D piece published March 1995 Guitar Techniques. I wrote a series of about five or six articles in GT from Jan 1995 on altered tunings.

  • Wow! Thanks for the nice comments. I got into alternate tunings from your GT series - they really are a cracking set of tunes. Would be great to see more of your stuff on Youtube!

  • Hello TimeForATwang. Great that my GT series inspired you to get into tunings. Thanks for the suggestion. In 2010 I hope to put some music online, maybe youtube also. I have many songs in alt tunings. New book coming also on this subject.
