We took in a black stray kitten that was starving to death. He is the most affectionate cat. He also has dog qualities - he follows you everywhere. He's 6 now. He's a real ham.
We just adopted a completely black cat and named her Sundown. She is the most affectionate and easy going cat we ever had. I love her and sometimes call her Black Beauty.

I have owned a black dog when I was growing up (black shephard mix/husky?). I think black cats are some of the most loving cats around, they make great lapcats and are very smart and affectionate.
