Thanks for the beautiful memories of your heavenly musical compositions which brought happy memorable times in our lives. Jaikishanji. We salute you. RIP.
We can't imagine Jaikishen without Shankar. Those who have erected J's statue have done great injustice to the departed soul. They should have erected statues of both Shankar and Jaikishen, who lived and created great film music as a duo.
@rajendrabora I purely agree that there should have been a statue for Shankarji as well but i am not sure if you know proper english , i dont think erected is the proper word to use in this case. As you may before jaikishans death in last 5 or six years he created more hit songs than Shankar. Thats why Shankar wasnt able to give good music in early 70s. In the beginning till 1950 to 1960 Shankar created more hit than Jaikishan. They were totally equal when it comes to creating music.
aap ne sahi bola.jaikishan gave more hits in the latter half then shankerji. earlier it was shankerji. maybe the entry of shaarda played a big role in shanker's music and the sj jodi.jaikishen's solo aarzoo is an example of jai's genius and also zindagi ek safar is the icing in the cake.
Yes dear Manish...you can feel proud of Jaikishen, but why not feel proud of Shanker ?? It is not a healthy though. Rather you should have added one more line that you were proud of Shanker-Jaikishen and Whole India and the True Music lovers of the world are proud of SJ irrespective of their country, language, caste, creed, dialect etc. You should add more Panchals who may become as much popular as Shanker-Jaikishan were. Come on !!!!!
Thanks for upload This - I love S J - all songs particularly some of songs too good touch to heart, I Salute his musics, particularly in R K Banner moovies too good songs, also Kathputli, Naya Ghat, Seema, New Delhi, etc; every songs toucdh heart. Thanks upload memories of Jaikishanji. Vipin - New York.
I am an ardent fan of Shanker-Jaikishen. I have a collection of 120 original sound tracks of their creative music. Though I could meet my favourite singer Rafi saheb, I could not meet this duo in person.Even a great legend like OPNayyer agrees that SJ only are the greatest all time trend setters! We miss them a lot! They are the inspiring duo for most of the maestros of their time and the times to come! My tributes to both of them!--Dr.GRamnarayan. a singer of Shri V.Seetharamaiah's musiano.
When Jaikishanji died I was in Mumbai I shaw the funeral time Rajji was stand near body of Jaikishanji- I was sad for a week, also when Rajji died I was sad until one month - Then I decided to do for Rajji. Long and lot memories of both legends but I cannot share in words. Thanks for upload. Vipin New York.
A divinely gifted life snuffed out at age 42, so early like so many other similar cases of genius in music , poetry and cinema, (Jaikishen was born in the same year as Lataji). What a precious partnership he made with Shankar. Your song medley gives every one a great glimpse of their refined creative range illustrated by Lataji's voice, who worked with the duo so often in her early career. Excellent, rare pictures too. Thanks, Mirzaji.
Long live the gods of music.
