@ayqt61 Adam Deen couldn’t argue his way out of a paper bag. His preference for the confrontational format is understandable; it means he can misrepresent and ignore what his opponents are saying.
@ayqt61 Adam Deen tips on talks: 1) Adopt an imperious oratory style. Helps make it sound as if you are saying something profoundly truthful & important;
2) At the beginning, tell your opponent what he has to do to make his case and, at the end, declare that he has failed to do so;
3) Adopt a pet saying such as: “The question is: ‘Is there an objective morality without God?” And repeat it ad nauseum. Repeat it in response to every question that is asked.
@kelabuputeh I would suggest you start a journey of studying physics, maths, chemistry & biology - you will learn great things. Big bang & evolution are 2 separate theories. Evolution is based on biology & big bang on physics - without understanding the basics of these scientific disciplines it is difficult to understand the theories. They cannot be understood overnight. The study of evolution is comparable to the study of the atom - decades of emperical observation & research.
If being civil and polite means that I have to treat someone nice who insists on the wrong and ignore immorality then I prefer it not to be like that.
@ayqt61 being nice is an intrinsic part of my internal moral code unless I see human rights being abused. I will forever peacefully fight any unfairness and persecution on the basis of colour, race, gender, disability or sexuality. I will equallty fight for gay rights as much as I fight for Guantanamo to be closed.
@Judipops13 It is irrelevant how beautiful you express or describe something wrong,it is never going to be right or acceptable because of it. You deserve his rude and harsh treatment because otherwise you would get the impression that your deluded viewpoint might me justified with our modern society and the development of human being. Sorry I have to hurt your feelings again, because something wrong remains wrong, independent from time or place. .
@ayqt61 but you must realise now that you and I will never agree. We have very different beliefs and are shocked by what we say to each other. You do not accept my opnion and I do not accept yours. I think we should stop discussing the matter as it is futile. Maybe some people should live in separatey and segregated from each other as some beliefs can never be aligned as we can simply not tolerate each other.
@WilyMAM btw since 1999, Swiss governmental discrimination based on sexual orientation has been constitutionally prohibited. Article 8 of the Constitution of the Swiss Confederation prohibits discrimination on the basis of way of life. Why do you live in a country where it is criminal to think as you do?
so if a man should resist all impulses then all men should resist all impulses for women too - then humanity would end. Why is a male impulse for a women any different than a male impulse for a male?
@IslamOnDemand then the secular and atheistic perspective is more humane and in touch with reality. Attraction and love come in all shapes and sizes - if by 2012 we do not realise that then there is something very wrong with our understanding of the world and humanity.
@IslamOnDemand Hence why Allah says Allah says: “It is made lawful for you to have sexual relations with your wives on the night of the fasts. They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them…” [Sûrah al-Baqarah: 187] and also says "O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah , through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer."
@Judipops13 Making the human being the center of the universe instead of the Creator happens when the human becomes obsessed with the signposts while forgetting what they are pointing to.
@IslamOnDemand I am not arguing that the human being should be the centre of the universe. I believe we are all part of one huge concept - whether human, animal, mollusc, planetary system. There is much debate as to whether a creator exists in terms as described by the various religions. If I follow one god in one faith I am damned by another and vice versa. Finding peace through practical sources putting all religion/beliefs aside is the only way Earth will ever be peaceful.
@IslamOnDemand I do not know - there may be one there may not. I have studied for many years and after much analysis and reflection I accepted evolution and that there is much more to be learned. On accepting evolution it is very difficult to accept any religion I have studied - Christianity, Taoism, Buddism, Islam etc. The bible and the qu'ran and other religious teachings on creation do not make factual sense to me. As a woman I find I am constantly insulted by religions.
@Judipops13 I appreciate your thoughts. I, on the other hand, could never make sense of evolution. If you go back to the very first moment the universe came into existence (i.e. the Big Bang)... What did that evolve from?
@IslamOnDemand It is the human condition that different things make sense to different people. I studied evolution for 30 years and pretty much accept it now. You ask a question to which we humans do not factually know at this time. Where did Earth come from? I don't know but we are very similar to matter found on other planets in our system & less similar to matter found in asteroids. I accept the science stating all humans orignated from Africa - the evidence is very strong.
@Judipops13 Iapologize for being insulting but I insist on being harsh in certain topics because for example if my little brother suffers under obesity and insists on his eating behaviour I would rather be harsh and maybe hurt his feelings than watching him givingin to his impulses because he feels happy and ignores all negative consequences. But you got a point there we will never agree so I guess we have to wait and see whom the consequences will give right.
@ayqt61I am sorry your brother is obese. Obesity in some schools of modern psychology think that obesity has a hidden emotional cause. Eating is the way we provide comfort to ourselves when we feel insecure or scared. Food does give a temporary relief from pain/sadness as do other things. Finding the cause is important to a healthy mind/body. Sometimes it can simply be bad dietry advice. Try not to be harsh to an obese person and find out the true cause of their overeating.
@Judipops13 Its quite simple. As long as you dont believe in Allah, the All-Wise and All Knowing, its very hard to accept the rulings He makes. We believe he knows better than us, so we put away our 'logical' thought and replace it with the Sharia.
@Madhofd I understand that from my studies of Islam. However logical thought is incredibly important to human life. Without it the world would be in chaos and we would have no science, no medicine, no aeroplanes etc. Life would be very dull and unfair ;-)
@Judipops13 Sure, having thoughts makes for great innovation in science etc. But these are rulings which have already been made clear by the Lawmaker. So we have no say in this. In all other matters, we have a say
@Madhofd Law and science are two very different things. I know as I am a UK solicitor who has also studied science to degree level. I love learning!! Laws vary widely across the world and legal systems have developed in many different ways. The differences dependent on culture, external influences (such as Latin based systems), political climate and many other factors. Since the time humans developed consciousness and language - thought has pervaded every single part of human life.
@Madhofd but what for those who do not believe in a supernatural lawgiver - should no law apply to them? Please try and view the world from multi-perspectives as I do - then you see amuch bigger picture than the one you know.
@Madhofd little question for you out of interest - if your Lawmaker has given a ruling on something that contravenes Dutch law - Which would you adhere to? Would you breach Dutch law in order to satisfy your Lawmaker? I am simply interested in your perspective.
@Judipops13 Of course I would. I dont care about Dutch law. I will happily ignore Dutch Law and adhere to the Shariah. Btw, 'should no law apply to them?'... When there is an Islamic State... with the SHariah implemented, EVERYONE falls under the same law and there will be peace under the banner of Islam. This WILL happen, just a matter of time
@Madhofd keep dreaming - I think 5 billion non-muslims around the world might have something to say about that lol We've dealt with facists before - many times. We abhore people who want to dominate everyone. Again keep dreaming!! If you can't follow the rules of the country you live in - MOVE!!!
@Madhofd lol pot calling kettle - you just keep the delusion - indoctrination is a funny thing to see in others - you will be very disappointed when the fat lady sings ;-))
@Judipops13 what a self refuting question? There is a big difference, if all men resist all impulses for women THEN the world would end! But it is not vice versa. Such a delusion going on nowadays.
@ayqt61 It is not a self refuting question - you state the obvious facts which I of course know. My question is a rhetorical question pointing out the blatent unfairness of treating homosexual impulses any differently to heterosexual impulses. They are both valid impulses which socially should be allowed to be expressed Hamza stated that the former should be supressed and compared it with an impulse to steal. I vehemently oppose this view. I find irony in you calling me deluded.
You are deluded. The impulse to steal arises when there is a moment of "generosity". That very same moment gives rise to making a lapsed judgment. Humans are susceptible and indeed vulnerable when they are given to much. The Nafs (unrefined ego) takes over.
Sh Hamza Yusuf has mentioned this very elaborately in one his lectures. Humans as a whole need to exercise patience in this world of commerce and vanity.
@MrGrandDragon interesting you call me deluded! The impulse to steal happens for many reasons - poverty is a sample reason. The impulse to steal and homosexual impulses are two very different things. One is attraction - one is wanting to take someone elses property - I see no comparison. I disagree with Hamza - Humans need to exercise patience when judging other people based on their beliefs that leads to misery, bigotry and hardship for other human beings.
Impulse to steal in abject poverty is not punishable under Islamic law. Sh Hamza Yusuf has also discussed Islamic jurisprudence in depth. The point being regardless of your financial state, most of the time when you are bestowed with generosity you commit excesses in your actions and thoughts. I am speaking on a minute scale here so your point has nothing to do with what I said really...
@MrGrandDragon My issue was that you compared homosexuality with the crime of theft. It is a crime to steal under UK law - it is not a crime to be homosexual. You were comparing something natural with a crime, hence why I took issue with it. We have a welfare state here in the UK which provides money so people in poverty can access money to house/feed themselves. When I am bestowed generosity I do not commit excesses - I say thank you and give back in whatever way I can.
@MrGrandDragon I am interested in what you think excesses are. Most humans I know simply want to be loved and to love, have food and shelter, friendships, to be treated fairly and humanely by others and to expereince happiness. We are all the same at the end of the day.
@MrGrandDragon I also not that you live in the UK - It it is a crime in this country under s5 of the Public Order Act 1986 and s43 Criminal Justice Act 2003 to incite homophobic hatred. This followed an EU Directive asking Member States to deal with homophobic hatred. Yusuf's comments in his video does this quite clearly. As you live here I wonder why you support attitudes and propaganda that are criminal in your country of residence.
@Judipops13 Your ignorance is a crime! Still waiting for an answer: What if MEN have impluses for ANIMALS only should they resist or give in to that impulse ?
@Judipops13 You are not even able to give a valid argument and response to my question instead you're ignoring it and trying to justify your sick and immoral behaviour.
@ayqt61 I have answered your question clearly!! Can you not read??? I stated that an impulse to have sex with an animal and go through with that impulse is wrong because an animal CANNOT GIVE CONSENT. Consent is imperative morally to all sexual relations otherwise it is rape/abuse!! Homosexuals CONSENT to sexual relations THEREFORE there is NO COMPARISON. Hope you can read that!!!
It is stupid of you think typing a comment on youtube (freely expressing my opinion in an open platform) is tantamount to a crime. This is not the "public" its the Internet. I have never abused a homosexual in my life and will never do so. As a Muslim I am prohibited to take the law in my own hands.
Prevalence in homosexuality is a sign of the end of times. I will despise it forever God willing. :)
@MrGrandDragon I did not state that you had commited a crime - please reread my comment. You are wrong to think that Youtube is not "public". It most certainly is - Why do you think Sony are able to stop people posting songs/videos in which it owns the copyright? It is because posting on Youtube amounts to broadcasting to the public. I am a UK solicitor so I know this is the case.
Interesting... so in that case would you also condemn the onslaught of hatred and absolute resentment towards Muslims and Islam on Youtube? I feel if condemning the act of homosexuality is deemed as an offence (for sighting hatred no less) then shouldn't we also label those who seek to utterly destroy Islam as being criminals?
As a citizen of the UK I will follow ALL laws, but my opinion on certain peoples actions will not change as a result.
@MrGrandDragon I would absolutely condemn hatred and resentment towards Muslims and Islam. I grew up near Bradford/Leeds which has a mix of all faiths and have always had people from all faiths as friends. Victimisation on the basis of faith or colour has long been a criminal offence in the UK. I condemn hatred towards anyone on basis of beliefs hence why I condemn hatred of homosexuality. I did not comment here to criticise Islam only Hamza's comment on homosexuality.
@MrGrandDragon I am glad to hear you have not abused a homosexual, I never assumed you had. There is freedom of thought and speech which I am very thankful we have in this country. You can indeed think what you like - it is a crime to spread hatred though and I feel Hamza would walk a dangerous line if he gave this talk on UK soil. I view human rights abuses, judgmentalism to be a sign of still living in the dark ages. I will forever despise homophobes!!
Hamza Yusuf elaborated (or at least touched on) the Islamic position on homosexuality at Oxford. This man is very well respected and incredibly intelligent.
You see as Muslims we DO NOT condemn people for their intentions since that is part ofour human instinct and temper... however we draw a fine line when peoples sins are manifested in action in the public domain. Opposite gender represents the balance and harmony of humanity.
@MrGrandDragon If you condemn the act of gays being able to have relationships, marry and live harmoniously with each other - as many of my friends do then I cannot agree with you. Some of my gay friends are the most beautiful wonderful people I know and I will campaign for their rights to live as they wish for as long as people do not respect their human rights.
@MrGrandDragon There are many speakers in the UK who are highly respected. Stephen Fry is one of the most popular people in our country - a fine presenter, writer, comedien and is fair more intelligent and educated than most other people. He is considered one of the most popular figures in the UK and is adored here. He is gay.
@Judipops13 There is nothing to discuss about - gay people need our help, Iam not condemning anybody just stating facts: homosexuality is a mental illness.
@Judipops13 Yeah sure ironic that for years medicine stated that Homosexuality is a mental illness. After the social pressure they were forced to change this in the specialist books. But keep deluding yourself, my time is precious,so I don't want to waste it on topics which are redundant and self explaining.
@ayqt61 I will not insult you as you have me. I disagree with your claim - only SOME cultures thought homosexuality was a mental illness, not all. It was after after much study & analysis that these societies started to accept homosexuality as normal. This is similar to some cultures thinking black people were inferior - which is clearly wrong - after study, observation & non-judmentalism it is now socially accepted in many cultures that we are all equal despite colour and sexuality.
@Judipops13 Didn't mean to insult you sorry, the comparison with the cultures thinking black people were inferior is just inadequately, check muslim history one of the greatest of the companions of the prophet was a black slave, BUT I am just stating facts go and research it yourself for a long time in medicine homosexuality was considered as a mental illness anyway please answer to my question: What if MEN have impluses for ANIMALS only should they resist or give in to that impulse ?
@ayqt61 Medicine is a science and revolves around empiricism. Medicine has grown and developed over many hundreds of years responding to new learnings. Mercury was used to treat pretty much anything until it was learned that is it a poison. Lobotomies were a popular fad for the first half of the 20th century. In Western medicine today homosexuality is not considered a mental illness but a natural condition. On your sex with animals point - I answered this separately.
@ayqt61 You stated" You are not even able to give a valid argument and response to my question instead your ignoring it and trying to justify your sick and immoral behaviour." I have answered your question twice now. How dare you call my behaviour sick and immoral - Who do you think you are? I am not gay - even if I was I would not be sick or immoral. Your attitude disgusts me.
@Judipops13 ""sexual intercourse should ONLY take place between "consenting" adults."" I was talking about a VALID argument. Animals are acting out of instinct so they express their consent otherwise. But as you say yourself SHOULDonly take place... as YOU STATED! and I state sex should only take place between man and woman. HOW DARE YOU to declare what is right and wrong?
What is right is obvious and what is wrong is obvious also. You just like to act out of lust like an animal.
@ayqt61 You DID NOT make a vaild argument. Your argument is RIDICULOUS - comparing sex with animals to homosexual behaviour is disgusting and is an inflammatory argument. I am happily married for your information and have been for 18 years. So YOU THINK AN ANIMAL CONSENTS TO HAVING SEX WITH A HUMAN? That is DEPRAVED. It would be abuse of an animal. Who do you think you are to tell gay men never to have love? How dare you tell 1 in 10 men that they are wrong?
@Judipops13 You are the one who is trying to defend moral values of the people of Sodom and Gomorrah and I am the one who is disgusting? :D You are just pathetic.
@ayqt61 I said your idea that gays were like animal abusers was disgusting not you - you have insulted me personally several times - I have only criticised your ideas. This is called being civil and polite when discussing a disagreement. We disagree but beacuse I won't accept your opnions you insult me personally. Your ideas remain firmly in the dark ages as far as I am concerned and that is the last thing I will say to you. Bye
@Judipops13 By vice versa, I mean of course in context of your "question"...world ends if men resists all impulses for men and women...if men only resists men - there is no problem...but if they resist the impluses for women THEN the world would end.
@ayqt61 if men resist wanting men and this is how they feel then there IS a problem. Gay men will stay lonely and miss out on their human right to have relationships and love and express this love publicly. That is a huge problem in my eyes. Everyone has the right to love who they want to love and express it.
@Judipops13" if men resist wanting men and this is how they feel then there IS a problem. Gay men will stay lonely and miss out on their human right to have relationships and love and express this love publicly. That is a huge problem in my eyes. Everyone has the right to love who they want to love and express it."-----------
-Ok and WHAT IF MEN have impulses ONLY for animals ? Should they have the right to have sexual intercourse with animals also ? This is sickening...
@ayqt61 In answer to question - sexual intercourse should ONLY take place between "consenting" adults. Animals cannot give consent. My answer to your question is a clear NO - this would be abuse of animals. Gay men each consent - your comparison is therefore nonsense.
@Judipops13 From a Muslim point of view, it isn't natural, i.e. It isn't as God intended. Impulses between males and females it fine, yet even then, they must be married. Between the same sexes, its a no. This is the same for Judaism and, I think for Christianity.
@Mehbz simply because religions say this doesn't mean the are right. I base my judgments on the facts around me and the wonderful gay people I know. From my experience I know faiths are wrong when they "do not allow" homosexuality. There is no justification for such terrible treatment fo our fellow human beings.
@Mehbz I also not that you live in the UK - It it is a crime in this country under s5 of the Public Order Act 1986 and s43 Criminal Justice Act 2003 to incite homophobic hatred. This followed an EU Directive asking Member States to deal with homophobic hatred. Yusuf's comments in his video does this quite clearly. As you live here I wonder why you support attitudes and propaganda that are criminal in your country of residence. I am appalled that UK residents support such attitudes.
Indeed in Islam Allah has made it prohibited for men to gaze at certain women with lust. If they happen to gaze unwanted then they aught to lower their gaze out of shame and protection of their nafs (unrefined ego).
Allah has made it permissible for a man to marry a woman after one has attained puberty. It is highly encouraged that one does not deprive oneself of such a communion. As married couples you are encouraged to enjoin in one another.
@MrGrandDragon I see no reason to make millions of people that are our fellow humans feel persecuted and second rate citicizens based on their sexuality. I have gay freinds who are married who live beautiful lives and provide beautiful friendship. I view them no differently than my heterosexual married friends. They each love, respect and care for each other. I agree that men should not lear at women - it is sad that men need to be told this - men should do it out of respect.
Allah like any other god, does not exist. We should not allow ourselves to be led blindly by those who assert things without scientific evidence. It is immoral to wish to be a slave to any theocracy, imagined or real. As for sex, it is the right of every consenting adult to have sex with another consenting adult, whether they are married, single, heterosexual or homosexual.
@roac7777 well thats the Western Opinion but you know ther are some 5 Billion other People on this World whit other Thoghts and Opinions Respect that or just stfu. Who says that this what you sayd is the best? You say Allah dosnt exists and whit that you say that my Religion is false. I say that your Opinion is not right and false. Thats it.
@PunisherLobo Not so. Anyone with intelligence and is not blindly led can see that Islam is a Fascist ideology. Just take time to think and use your brain and you will realise. Islam is forced upon people in Islamic countries. They have no choice but to be Muslim. Anyone who criticizes Islam is tortured and or murdered. Tell me how is it moral to stone a woman to death, just for having a private sex life or to torture and murder young men just for being homosexual.
@roac7777 thats the point my friend i readed about islamic history and theologiy and i can make a diffrence betwen Sects and true Muslims you know! Your Problem is lack of Knowleg in Islam or you just read shit from Anti Islamic Webpages or you readed the quran on english and think that you know Islam. The point is That Man also get stoned if they betray their woman im marriage! Noone gets killd for having sex out of marriage or before marriage ther is another punishmet for it.
@PunisherLobo It is immoral & depraved to torture and kill people for having a sex life, whether they have committed adultery or had sex outside of marriage. We in the free west have a thing called divorce, no one is tortured or killed. It is the right of every consenting adult to have sex with another consenting adult. Islam is a fascist ideology. I know that 9/11 and all the other atrocities committed by Muslims are in the belief of their god which is also immoral & depraved.
@roac7777 You call chating on the Mother of your Children "having a sex life"? This is not Immoral you? Like Hamza sayd its betwen you and God what you do in your 4 Walls but dont take it to the outside. And nobody tortoures in Islam where you get that BS from? In Islam you also got Divorce ther is an howl Quran Sura that is called the same way man! Hell you dont know absolutly nothing about Islam but you have an Opinion! And when do freedome becomes Chaos? Tell me that?! 9/11 was Wahabis Idiot!
@PunisherLobo Adultery is hurtful and the punishment is self inflicted. No one has the right to kill or persecute or torture the adulterer. Divorce is the usual thing that happens between the spouse and her husband. As for torture and murder in Islam, just go to Iran, Somalia, Saudi and Yemen. Your head is buried in sand. Do not get lost in thought fellow primate, you would be in unfamiliar territory. Islam was started by some wandering desert nomad with a serious psychological disorder
@roac7777 Soamlia = Wahabis! Saudi = Wahabis! Jemen = Dictatorship! Iran = Shias but they have the most high Female Student rate in the World and the Death Sentence is mostly outspoken 2 or 3 times in a Year. America is still nr 1 Killer in the World for Death Sentence!!! The only disorder you got her my friend is that you dont know Shit about Islam but you have an Opinion about it. But an Opinion about something whitout clear knowleg about the thing you got an Opinion on to is worth NOTHING!!!
@PunisherLobo America only exxecutes people for murder. China, North Korea, Iran and Saudi executes people for minor crimes and for no crimes at all. Religion is opinion, it is not based on truth. The only truth is scientific truth. Their is no evidence of your god. You are deluded and Islam is the religion of death and destruction and hate.
@roac7777 ther are many proofs for got you faggot :D Search it foryourself accrous to our conversetion i see that you have NO Idea about Islam. I tell you Saudi is Wahabi and you keep talking about Islam! Did you know that Muslims fight Wahabis in Somalia? Or that the Wahabis in mekka and madina destroying holy muslims sites? Of course not because your are an Idiot that dont know Shit about Islam but has an Opinion.
Islam sounds all nice and noble until it discriminates against innocent people for no rational reason. If the only argument against homosexuality is that your god or prophet condemns it, then you've clearly run out of rational resources.
Allah as the source of all things and the only one who can truly be said to Exist without any contingencies is our source of law and guidance. If he created men and women to complement each other in certain ways so be it. Sexuality within marriage is encouraged. Outside of it things such as adultery, homosexuality and bestiality are forbidden.
You take yourself as lawgiver. We take the Creator, the Real as the lawgiver. Who is impoverished?
God does create sinners, that's what he blessed us with (Free will). That is why according to the islamic tradition the angle that refused to bow to God's creation (Shay-tan) was out of jealousy. I feel that we need to have a FREE society that doesn't try to save people from themselves but then that society should also recognize Sharia with in a community as long as it does NOT violate the law of the land. Sh Hamza also has stated that we should not dehumanize homosexuals
@greatape19 there are two things u should know. there should be a law to ensure that muslims do not disobey God in public. Yet! that doesn't mean that God will not punish u for the sin u do in private! But people should not act towards ur sin unless u do it in public. When muslims advice u to be natural just as God created u in the best creation, that advice is to prevent u from doing that on private so that u won't be punished by God afterwards when the punishment would be greater and greater:)
@greatape19 Islam which is the last and true religion does not prevent any good deed! it only prevents what harm a person or the whole society. being gay is not natural to be clear ! and also it dows many harms for u and the society! it threats productivity and spreads immorality. we don't hate u we want to save u.. cuz a muslim doesn't have faith unless he loves for others what he loves for himself. thats why we help people and guide them to seek this position of being true believers.
@qtrvid I am sorry i disagree, ask any gay or lesbian they would tell you they knew they were different as long as they could remember. The Harm that is caused on gay people is caused due to homophobia and not their homosexuality (no need to mention AIDS, remember lesbians are at a lower risk than heterosexuals to get AIDS and plus 70% of hiv is transmitted through heterosexual contact !) I plea to re-evaluate your position because your homophobia affects millions of gay children.
@greatape19 what about productivity? won't that be damaged by being homosexual? or babies are going to be produced automatically ? Also about AIDS !, islam forbids Adultery. So AIDS could only happen when Adultery spreads widely in the society where partners are not married and are not medically examined. Being Homosexual is either a medical or psychological disease that needs treatments.
@qtrvid you fucking idiot. if there were no homosexuals then the world would literrally collapse through over population. go fucking die in a hole somwhere please you uneducated fool
@qtrvid why dont you shut the fuck up. homosexuality is in the genes therefore it is in nature. u brainwashed fool. yeh i said it BRAINWASHED you people just do not listen to LOGIC. you think gays are going to hell, OK so what about Mohammed, the paedophile you all worship, what a load of old shite. go figure
@MrCalathea no they are not 'Feminin' attributes, that's what you are calling them. The Prophet had MANY different quaities, what you would call male and Female. but as a Muslim you should have BOTH these attributes, the Middle path, not going to extremes. so he would cry, show Empathy etc, but on a Battlefield he was a warrior, No contradiction, just in your Mind. ALL Humans should have both these qualities and know how and when to use them, As the Prophet Muhammed did, and we have lost

Maybe some people should live in separatey and segregated from each other as some beliefs can never be aligned as we can simply not tolerate each other.

so if a man should resist all impulses then all men should resist all impulses for women too - then humanity would end. Why is a male impulse for a women any different than a male impulse for a male?
Judipops13 1 month ago
@Judipops13 There is no difference... from a purely SECULAR or ATHEISTIC perspective.
IslamOnDemand 1 month ago
@IslamOnDemand then the secular and atheistic perspective is more humane and in touch with reality. Attraction and love come in all shapes and sizes - if by 2012 we do not realise that then there is something very wrong with our understanding of the world and humanity.

@Judipops13 Making the human being the center of the universe instead of the Creator happens when the human becomes obsessed with the signposts while forgetting what they are pointing to.
IslamOnDemand 4 weeks ago
@IslamOnDemand I am not arguing that the human being should be the centre of the universe. I believe we are all part of one huge concept - whether human, animal, mollusc, planetary system. There is much debate as to whether a creator exists in terms as described by the various religions. If I follow one god in one faith I am damned by another and vice versa. Finding peace through practical sources putting all religion/beliefs aside is the only way Earth will ever be peaceful.
Judipops13 4 weeks ago
@Judipops13 Do you believe a creator exists?
IslamOnDemand 4 weeks ago
@IslamOnDemand I do not know - there may be one there may not. I have studied for many years and after much analysis and reflection I accepted evolution and that there is much more to be learned. On accepting evolution it is very difficult to accept any religion I have studied - Christianity, Taoism, Buddism, Islam etc. The bible and the qu'ran and other religious teachings on creation do not make factual sense to me. As a woman I find I am constantly insulted by religions.
Judipops13 4 weeks ago
@Judipops13 I appreciate your thoughts. I, on the other hand, could never make sense of evolution. If you go back to the very first moment the universe came into existence (i.e. the Big Bang)... What did that evolve from?
IslamOnDemand 4 weeks ago
@IslamOnDemand It is the human condition that different things make sense to different people. I studied evolution for 30 years and pretty much accept it now. You ask a question to which we humans do not factually know at this time. Where did Earth come from? I don't know but we are very similar to matter found on other planets in our system & less similar to matter found in asteroids. I accept the science stating all humans orignated from Africa - the evidence is very strong.
Judipops13 4 weeks ago
@Judipops13 Iapologize for being insulting but I insist on being harsh in certain topics because for example if my little brother suffers under obesity and insists on his eating behaviour I would rather be harsh and maybe hurt his feelings than watching him givingin to his impulses because he feels happy and ignores all negative consequences. But you got a point there we will never agree so I guess we have to wait and see whom the consequences will give right.
ayqt61 4 weeks ago
@ayqt61I am sorry your brother is obese. Obesity in some schools of modern psychology think that obesity has a hidden emotional cause. Eating is the way we provide comfort to ourselves when we feel insecure or scared. Food does give a temporary relief from pain/sadness as do other things. Finding the cause is important to a healthy mind/body. Sometimes it can simply be bad dietry advice. Try not to be harsh to an obese person and find out the true cause of their overeating.
Judipops13 4 weeks ago
@Judipops13 Its quite simple. As long as you dont believe in Allah, the All-Wise and All Knowing, its very hard to accept the rulings He makes. We believe he knows better than us, so we put away our 'logical' thought and replace it with the Sharia.
Madhofd 1 month ago
@Madhofd I understand that from my studies of Islam. However logical thought is incredibly important to human life. Without it the world would be in chaos and we would have no science, no medicine, no aeroplanes etc. Life would be very dull and unfair ;-)
Judipops13 4 weeks ago
@Judipops13 Sure, having thoughts makes for great innovation in science etc. But these are rulings which have already been made clear by the Lawmaker. So we have no say in this. In all other matters, we have a say
Madhofd 4 weeks ago
@Madhofd Law and science are two very different things. I know as I am a UK solicitor who has also studied science to degree level. I love learning!! Laws vary widely across the world and legal systems have developed in many different ways. The differences dependent on culture, external influences (such as Latin based systems), political climate and many other factors. Since the time humans developed consciousness and language - thought has pervaded every single part of human life.
Judipops13 4 weeks ago
@Judipops13 oh yes, i agree. But the law of the Lawgiver are better than man made laws. Thus, they should have precedence
Madhofd 4 weeks ago

Judipops13 3 weeks ago
@Judipops13 Of course I would. I dont care about Dutch law. I will happily ignore Dutch Law and adhere to the Shariah. Btw, 'should no law apply to them?'... @Judipops13 what a self refuting question? There is a big difference, if all men resist all impulses for women THEN the world would end! But it is not vice versa. Such a delusion going on nowadays.
ayqt61 1 month ago
@ayqt61 It is not a self refuting question - you state the obvious facts which I of course know. My question is a rhetorical question pointing out the blatent unfairness of treating homosexual impulses any differently to heterosexual impulses. They are both valid impulses which socially should be allowed to be expressed Hamza stated that the former should be supressed and compared it with an impulse to steal. I vehemently oppose this view. I find irony in you calling me deluded.
Judipops13 1 month ago
@Judipops13
MrGrandDragon 1 month ago
@MrGrandDragon interesting you call me deluded! The impulse to steal happens for many reasons - poverty is a sample reason. The impulse to steal and homosexual impulses are two very different things. One is attraction - one is wanting to take someone elses property - I see no comparison. I disagree with Hamza - Humans need to exercise patience when judging other people based on their beliefs that leads to misery, bigotry and hardship for other human beings.
Judipops13 1 month ago
@Judipops13
Attraction leads to want...
MrGrandDragon 1 month ago
@MrGrandDragon My issue was that you compared homosexuality with the crime of theft. It is a crime to steal under UK law - it is not a crime to be homosexual. You were comparing something natural with a crime, hence why I took issue with it. We have a welfare state here in the UK which provides money so people in poverty can access money to house/feed themselves. When I am bestowed generosity I do not commit excesses - I say thank you and give back in whatever way I can.
Judipops13 4 weeks ago
@MrGrandDragon Attraction can also lead to love, beauty, children and happiness - not just want - that is a very negative way of viewing attraction.
Judipops13 4 weeks ago
@Judipops13
I am not implying that want is a "bad" thing, only the desire to want MOST often leads to excesses.
MrGrandDragon 4 weeks ago
@MrGrandDragon I am interested in what you think excesses are. Most humans I know simply want to be loved and to love, have food and shelter, friendships, to be treated fairly and humanely by others and to expereince happiness. We are all the same at the end of the day.
Judipops13 4 weeks ago
@MrGrandDragon I also not that you live in the UK - It it is a crime in this country under s5 of the Public Order Act 1986 and s43 Criminal Justice Act 2003 to incite homophobic hatred. This followed an EU Directive asking Member States to deal with homophobic hatred. Yusuf's comments in his video does this quite clearly. As you live here I wonder why you support attitudes and propaganda that are criminal in your country of residence.

@ayqt61 I have answered your question clearly!! Can you not read??? I stated that an impulse to have sex with an animal and go through with that impulse is wrong because an animal CANNOT GIVE CONSENT. @Judipops13
MrGrandDragon 1 month ago
@MrGrandDragon I did not state that you had commited a crime - please reread my comment. You are wrong to think that Youtube is not "public". It most certainly is - Why do you think Sony are able to stop people posting songs/videos in which it owns the copyright? It is because posting on Youtube amounts to broadcasting to the public. I am a UK solicitor so I know this is the case.
Judipops13 4 weeks ago
@Judipops13
MrGrandDragon 4 weeks ago
@MrGrandDragon I would absolutely condemn hatred and resentment towards Muslims and Islam. I grew up near Bradford/Leeds which has a mix of all faiths and have always had people from all faiths as friends. Victimisation on the basis of faith or colour has long been a criminal offence in the UK. I condemn hatred towards anyone on basis of beliefs hence why I condemn hatred of homosexuality. I did not comment here to criticise Islam only Hamza's comment on homosexuality.
Judipops13 4 weeks ago
@MrGrandDragon I am glad to hear you have not abused a homosexual, I never assumed you had. There is freedom of thought and speech which I am very thankful we have in this country. You can indeed think what you like - it is a crime to spread hatred though and I feel Hamza would walk a dangerous line if he gave this talk on UK soil. I view human rights abuses, judgmentalism to be a sign of still living in the dark ages. I will forever despise homophobes!!
Judipops13 4 weeks ago
@Judipops13
MrGrandDragon 4 weeks ago
@MrGrandDragon If you condemn the act of gays being able to have relationships, marry and live harmoniously with each other - as many of my friends do then I cannot agree with you. @ayqt61 I will not insult you as you have me. I disagree with your claim - only SOME cultures thought homosexuality was a mental illness, not all. It was after after much study & analysis that these societies started to accept homosexuality as normal. @Judipops13 Didn't mean to insult you sorry, the comparison with the cultures thinking black people were inferior is just inadequately, check muslim history one of the greatest of the companions of the prophet was a black slave, BUT I am just stating facts go and research it yourself for a long time in medicine homosexuality was considered as a mental illness anyway please answer to my question: What if MEN have impluses for ANIMALS only should they resist or give in to that impulse ?
ayqt61 1 month ago
@ayqt61 Medicine is a science and revolves around empiricism. Medicine has grown and developed over many hundreds of years responding to new learnings. Mercury was used to treat pretty much anything until it was learned that is it a poison. Lobotomies were a popular fad for the first half of the 20th century. In Western medicine today homosexuality is not considered a mental illness but a natural condition. On your sex with animals point - I answered this separately.

@ayqt61 You stated" You are not even able to give a valid argument and response to my question instead your ignoring it and trying to justify your sick and immoral behaviour." Your attitude disgusts me.
Judipops13 4 weeks ago
@Judipops13 ""sexual intercourse should ONLY take place between "consenting" adults."" I was talking about a VALID argument. Animals are acting out of instinct so they express their consent otherwise. But as you say yourself SHOULDonly take place... as YOU STATED! and I state sex should only take place between man and woman. HOW DARE YOU to declare what is right and wrong?
What is right is obvious and what is wrong is obvious also. You just like to act out of lust like an animal.
ayqt61 4 weeks ago
@ayqt61 You DID NOT make a vaild argument. Your argument is RIDICULOUS - comparing sex with animals to homosexual behaviour is disgusting and is an inflammatory argument. I am happily married for your information and have been for 18 years. So YOU THINK AN ANIMAL CONSENTS TO HAVING SEX WITH A HUMAN? That is DEPRAVED. It would be abuse of an animal. Who do you think you are to tell gay men never to have love? How dare you tell 1 in 10 men that they are wrong?

Indeed in Islam Allah has made it prohibited for men to gaze at certain women with lust. If they happen to gaze unwanted then they aught to lower their gaze out of shame and protection of their nafs (unrefined ego).
Allah has made it permissible for a man to marry a woman after one has attained puberty. It is highly encouraged that one does not deprive oneself of such a communion. As married couples you are encouraged to enjoin in one another.

@greatape19 there are two things u should know. there should be a law to ensure that muslims do not disobey God in public. Yet! that doesn't mean that God will not punish u for the sin u do in private! But people should not act towards ur sin unless u do it in public. When muslims advice u to be natural just as God created u in the best creation, that advice is to prevent u from doing that on private so that u won't be punished by God afterwards when the punishment would be greater and greater:)
qtrvid 2 months ago
@greatape19 Islam which is the last and true religion does not prevent any good deed! it only prevents what harm a person or the whole society. being gay is not natural to be clear ! and also it dows many harms for u and the society! it threats productivity and spreads immorality. we don't hate u we want to save u.. cuz a muslim doesn't have faith unless he loves for others what he loves for himself. thats why we help people and guide them to seek this position of being true believers.
qtrvid 2 months ago
@qtrvid I am sorry i disagree, ask any gay or lesbian they would tell you they knew they were different as long as they could remember. The Harm that is caused on gay people is caused due to homophobia and not their homosexuality (no need to mention AIDS, remember lesbians are at a lower risk than heterosexuals to get AIDS and plus 70% of hiv is transmitted through heterosexual contact !) I plea to re-evaluate your position because your homophobia affects millions of gay children.
I understand
greatape19 2 months ago
@greatape19 what about productivity? won't that be damaged by being homosexual? or babies are going to be produced automatically ? Also about AIDS !, islam forbids Adultery. So AIDS could only happen when Adultery spreads widely in the society where partners are not married and are not medically examined. but the prophet had feminin characteristics.sorry hamza yusuf, i cannot agree with antihomosexuality.....
