  • Good filtering! Some of the obstacles you filtered through in this vid shows how retarded some drivers are in London though.

  • I'm a fast filterer. In all honesty, the best bike I have ever used for getting through london traffic is my Daytona 675. narrow mirrors, narror clip-on bars, narrow fairing narrow footpegs and as agile as 90% of other bikes. only downfall is the slightly restricted steering lock which below 2mph in the tightest spots can be difficult, but then you just find another way around... or do a 20 point turn in a 2 foot space lol

  • @butcherbloke Them clip-ons sound an excellent piece of equipment for the job! I did buy a 2nd set of handlebars for my DRZ and I've been thinking of cutting them down. I read that you do lose some steering leverage on turns but overall it'll be worth it.

  • @187Premises Sounds like a plan, it's what I'd do. I don't think you'll miss the leverage all that much on a bike like that though. those wide bars are probably just a design feature inherited from it's motocross blood where the leverage is more needed.

  • Nice video dude. I find my Sv650 on about the same level as the fz6 for filtering, very comfortable to manage at low speed. Both great machines. The one thing I would point out in this video, and I'm guilty of it myself at times, is not doing an observation to the right such as at 1:25, if there's a cyclist or biker filtering down that gap you could be straight out infront of them. Not trying to pick a fight, you're clearly a very competent rider, just a suggestion :)

  • You prefer the DRZ to the FZ6 for london filtering?

  • @rgaufman Yes, I'd choose the DRZ for filtering every time. An SM has a better turning circle for tight manoeuvring, the single cylinder engine always has good low down power where you need it. Only drawback is the bars are wide so with high mirrors like on vans you need to paddle the bars under them.

  • @187Premises Heh, fair play - donno how people filter on bikes like CBR600RR - check out video 6q2KXubWC9o - some crazy shit! -- I'm currently on a 250R but thinking about what I could potentially upgrade to and DRZ is definitely an option, I am worried though that the thin knobbly tyres won't have much grip in the rain - how do you cope riding in the rain in London?

  • @rgaufman My DRZ is a 400sm with the 17" road tyres and rain isn't much of an issue. I know there are road biased 21" tyres, but I've no idea how they'd perform in the wet. Best ask on a DRZ forum.

  • Do they not have cops in this country or something?

  • @devilcry4541 this is London, its not like this everywhere in the UK but its perfectly legal, other road laws make unsafe filtering illegal

  • How do you find that wide angle rear-view mirror?

  • Awesome videos :), I'll have to use my go pro more to record some of the idiot motorists here in Perth too haha

  • Fun video, thanks.

  • are motorcycles allowed to use bus lanes?

  • @MlSTERxRED Yes mate. London bus lanes have "AllowMotorCycles=1" enabled in the ini file.

  • @187Premises no dude , your wrong.

    its in the conf ffs!

  • @187Premises Never had a problem with bikes in the bus lanes in Belfast (commuting on a push bike) but do notice you don't stop at the advance bike box....hmmmm. Then again the traffic in London seems much worse with all the vehicles going over the box unless a bike is already in it.

  • @187Premises i know nothing about bikes, but wtf does that mean

  • are u allowed to ride in the bicycle lane like that? i live in LA so i dont know the rules there.

  • Bless the little moped...That will be me in a few weeks :L

  • I really like that wide angle mirror you have under the windscreen. is that purpose built or repurposed from another application?

  • haha the moped bit was funny :D

  • Do you usually ride like this or you were trying to make a point? I hate that bit from Tooting Bec to Tooting Broadway...everyday pedestrians jumping from nowhere

  • Absolutely love filtering, rarely get the opportunity to do so though. Congestion is the highlight of my daily commute.

  • gheeeeeeeeeez thats crazy filtering gheeeeez seriously show room condition daaaaaamn that was cool man at the end encouraging yur fellow bikers haaaaa laughin though jejjejejej well at least he made it jejejjejeje nice vid sik song it went wit da vid

  • whats wrong with the drz? ive had endless problems with mine

  • @richTbiscuitsUK Nothing is really wrong with it. Just that it got ran over and the insurance repaired it. what problems have you had?

  • @187Premises ive got the E version, witch has proberly been thrashed to fuck loom went, camchain, loads of oil seals and now it smokes like its burnin oil.

  • @scorp994 Ride safe. =]

  • @scorp994 Biker for life. <33

  • come on you can do this! looolll

  • @scorp994 Only because the cagers are jealous.

If it matters that much to you, get a bike!!

  • cool vid

  • Thats how i filter on my xj600 i love filtering. but i hat following people that wont filter lol and just block your route.

  • you just earned yourself another subscriber! Good stuff!

  • Great! Truly Unstoppable!!!

  • Why did'nt this come up in my sub box :( Awsome mate!

  • do u need a "wing mirrors in video are close than they appear" label on your videos?

  • Wheres the drz gone?

  • Well done fella! I love filtering :)

  • Good skills - I think I would struggle with some of those gaps on my bicycle!

  • dang you the man, Nice riding.

  • crazy !!!! BURN RUBBER NOT YOUR SOUL !!!!

  • Where did you buy the mirror dude?

  • @pympster I was contacted by a company who was about to release them.

  • You can't beat a bit of filtering to put you in a good mood for the day.

  • You should come to São Paulo / Brazil and see how they do it here.

I bet your jaw would drop.

  • @Cab0cl0 Film it bro!

  • @187Premises

Next time I travel there I might film it kay?

    Here is an example watch?v=3Bop7tFqNBE&feature=related

They are called "Motoboys" in Brazil.

They drive like that every day, thousands of then on their 125 scooters delivering stuff like pizza, paperwork, etc.

  • They can be a real pain in the ass. If you are driving your car and they believe you have have moved slightly in their way, they will kick your rear view mirror off, kick your door and zoom away. If you pick up a fight with one of then, dozens of others might stop and attack you.

If you are riding your bike and not driving like a sociopath in traffic, they will cuss you out for slowing them down.

You really should come, I bet you would have a lot of fun with these guys, lol.

  • Like a boss.

  • You can do this! lol. DRZ still off the road?

  • @tehswerver DRZ will be back soon. Monday or Tuesday hopefully!

  • @187Premises happy days bruv! :D

  • I like your mirror in the center i need to get one of those!

  • Nice job! Look forward to seeing your review of the riderscan.

  • aw wicked vid! lookin forward too that mirror one...lolz at that guy, musta just passed his cbt huh

  • nice riding

  • One of the things that make me love riding even more. Nothing like seeing a jam over a mile long and going through it like it's not even there. Had a few cack the pants moments though with cagers not looking/indicating while changing lanes though

  • If Lane Splitting was an Olympic sport, you would be champion of the world.

  • @Xdwardo500 ^^ you got my thumbs up! ^^

  • @187Premises Please add a DMX song if you ever do a video with music again =]

  • @Xdwardo500 This is good, but the video of the Russian guy is waayyy better lol

  • @Xdwardo500 If filtering was an Olympic sport, it'd be an event I gave a toss about.

  • What is the name of this sound i like the beat

  • @photosbychristensen Roy Jones Jr Unstoppable

  • wow, that riderscan is some interesting piece of hardware.

  • thumbs up for showroom condition. god knows my bike isn't in it.. and i can't legally filter....

  • @187Premises I passed my full test the other week and started playing on my XT 600 :> 2 days later i filtered for my very first time ever. This morning i was filtering in a mile long queue of traffic and i see i got to a gap which was just too small so i stopped in the left side of the queue but then i saw someone on a sportsbike go through and i thought , well fuck if he can do it i can , i tried it and missed the cars on both sides by cms because of my wide handle bars! You have competition!

  • don't see me doing this with my zx-6r :(

but traffic isn't this bad in the Netherlands so :)

  • liking the roy jones music haha you follow boxing mate?

  • Yo. You doing the burnuP this sunday?

  • @xenolard I would like to, but I'm going to be stuck in work! :(

  • @187Premises thats a shamne you're not going to Brighton Sunday!

  • Nice nippy riding, that riderscan looks interesting ;-)

  • Yeah boi!. Awesome video, that's some pro Filtering right there =]

  • what the mirror thing for on bike just above the speedo, is it a blind spot mirror??

  • @Hmsfirefox Yep. It's a blind spot mirror that cover all around you.

  • another great video !! Can't wait for the review

  • Sick... is all i can say

  • Thats some awesome filtering, dont think id ever have the confidence to filter like that, london looks mental

  • Still amazed how little we've encountered each other seeing all your stomping grounds. :D

  • @CyclingMikey Hello Sir. I've managed to spot Gaz twice so far. If I see Mrcellophane99, I'll run him over! Lol that 1 dislike is from him! Bastage!!! ;-)

  • Ah last frame explains all :)

  • Quality filtering :) also clocked a rider scan, what do you think of it?

  • very nicely done :)

  • what song is that and who sings it?

  • @Mickygemma You can find it if your search: Roy Jones Unstoppable. But I dunno who sings it.

  • "Come on, you can do this!" hehe. I like this video keep it up P187.

    What's your TF2 tag?

  • @OverXn My steam is just "Premises187" :D

  • @187Premises Bah it says that it cannot find your account...Oh well :)

  • nice video mate, subbed :)

  • Right, after all that editing... I'm gonna play some TF2 now!

  • Nice filtering!!

  • Nice, I think I should upload a video of my filtering and make it a video response. :-)

  • @cowtipper84 Responses are always welcome here! :)

  • Very nice :) - that Yamaha FZ6 seems pretty good in London - don't think I can filter as well on my Ninja 250R - keep clipping the mirrors :P

Looking forward to the RiderScan review!

  • and that one frame of blue jacket rider in front of you @1:28? great riding!! i ride mostly like the unconfident scooter that could haha

  • @pedroaguiaromundo That was a genuine editing accident. I saw it before uploading, but couldn't be bothered to re-encode the whole video again. :D

  • that's damn close sometimes!

  • I've still got a long way to go until I can filter like this!

  • Great riding mate... And that scooter rider made me lmao.. You can even see his foot on the ground the whole time ...

  • @fragmasterkarl The scooter rider was doing a Flintstones!

  • HAHAHHA "come on you can do this" :D i feel the same, when in heavy traffic i see other bikers hesitating, swerving from left to right, only then deciding to stay behind the car!! that drives me nuts xD

  • Literally didn't see the mirror until you pointed it out.
