This program is a strong demonstrantion of his huge talent, a very convincing demonstration and I hope Brian will repeat this thing at the Olympics and he will win so much wanted and expected Olympic gold medal!
Then, he mentions three times Yagudin's influence and if you know something about Button you know he loves Yagudin very much.
My advise: learn English before posting comments because there is nothing more that irritates me than people who pretend to know everything, they insult, but they know nothing!
The only criticism was in the spins, and you will all agree if you know something about figure skating that Brian has in fact weak spins compared to others skaters (I think of Lambiel, Buttle, Weir, ecc.). Then, at the end, he says that he really likes the program because it feels to him as a whole, and not a series of elements, but a complete programs, because it seems to him that Brian really believes what he is doing. (follow)
Are you carzy? I refer to people that critique the commentor (who by the way won 5 worlds and 2 olympics, so he knows what he talks about, a litte bit of respect, please). Most importantly, do you understand English? I don't think so, because he doesn't criticise him very much, actually there are more compliments! He was very impress by the jumps (he only said he has to check the landing to stop the rotations in the second quod, and he compliments him for doing it). (follow)
agreed! This commentator is a complete idiot. The program was fantastic, and he might at least have said something good about that, if he could not shut up alltogether.
But yeah, I agree with the first comment posted..Joubert doesn't really strikes me as being a very likeable person according to what I see on T.V anyway.Let's remember, it's not a real picture of the person in question which is offered, it's just a pucblic " fictional" persona....nothing more.
I think this performance was very good whatever the influence may have been. The American commentators stress it but not that much...Joubert isn't my favorite at all..but he was nearly perfect on this one and it doesn't really transpires through the comments..it's a pity.
Dick during the performance was talking about Yagudin influence...and Yagudin influence....but i think that the performance was very goog mabey that was Yagudin s influence. AI like it perhaps that it remind Alexei footwork amd so on
Brian's spins are not strong in this performance but he has improved. Overall, program wise, this was definately one of his strongest performances :o)
is it just me, or does it seem like Dick isn't that fond of him? You can sort of hear him making an effort to be fair and positive. I think I might sort of be with Dick on this one--he's a very attractive young man, and a very talented skater. . . but. . . not that I know him, of course, it's just that his public persona that comes across isn't all that likeable.
