  • video helped a lot, but just wondering what size socket did you use for the upper control arm? i need take them off tomorrow so i need to go buy the right size. thanks

  • so thats how its done!, lol thank the lord for youtube halejulia

  • nice video. one question it's ok to replace both sides or just the front right side? I'm new on this thanks for you answer.

  • @MultiRene74 If you only have 1 side that is bad, you can just replace that side, but front end parts are one of the things that is a good idea to do in pairs, just to keep the symmetry of the vehicle even.

  • Good job on the video. I'm about to do the same on my 98 ranger. Where did you get the Ball Joints from and control arm?

  • @Fuziun We have all those parts on our site at apdty.com

  • Hey! Just finished the installation of the new upper control arms with incorpirated ball joints. Only one ball joint was rusty and worn out. This job was so easy and thanks to the creator of this video! Such a easy installation, but I have torsion bar suspension. The control arms are not cheap: total price $420 (CANADIAN) for all !!

  • Great video thanks....have to do this on a 98 Ranger....is it the same? Thanks in advance, Chris

  • @Jumbo8721 Your truck should be nearly identical. Thanks

  • Very helpful video. i am going to tackle this as well. Uppers, pads and wheel bearings. This is what the garage was going to do and my friend said we can do it ourselves however he is way more mechanical than myself. One question though. Mines a ranger sport 2007. Same process? tyvm

  • @kailokai Yes, the ranger sport will be very similar if not identical to this process. Glad the video is able to help you out! Thanks!

  • this video and the other one showing how to replace the lowers helped me tremendously, saved me a lot of cash and returned the ride on my ranger to almost new. thank you very much!!

  • @probegt75 Glad we were able to help :) Give us a call if you are ever looking for some more parts for your truck, Thanks!

  • Awesome! Thank you! Just wondered how much grease do you pump in when done?

  • @jumpinjohn54 Just enough grease to cause the boot to slightly expand. Basically pump grease in there, and as soon as you see movement on the boot, stop.

  • how much those run for?

  • I forgot if he said anything about this or not, but make sure you grease the greasable ball joints when you install it. The sealed joints come greased but the greasable ones usually aren't.

  • this is so awesome, watching this has saved me so much money, thanks you guys rock

  • Thank you so much for this vid!!! So extremely helpful!

  • completed my 04 this w.e.... saved me $400 from having a shop do the work. The video makes it look easy... Just have patience. Thanks again... p.s. auto parts sponsoring this video are as inexpensive, yet high quality as anyone online.

  • thanks.. the video helps out on my 04 ranger edge which I am going to do next weekend

  • beatiful, now I know all about front suspention

  • that was some good info!! thanks a lot!!!.. just one thing.. i do think they sell the upper ball joint without the entire arm, i just did that, i dont know if it was because of the year of my ranger.. mine is a 99 4 cyl with coil springs.. i think its the same suspension as yours.. just wanted to let you know.. thanks again!!
