  • A mass murderer. Nothing more, and nothing less.

  • 9/11, STOP WHINGEING, IT EVENED THINGS UP.

  • @SINKNINE Killing civilians for the sake of revenge is aways wrong, wether those civilians are vietnamese or american. But I agree, don't whine about how terrorist are evil when you support this monster.

  • Battle Hymn to a War Criminal. Classy.

  • Not sure I put Calley in the same league as Hitler and Himmler. He was an example of what happens when you give a mindless high school drop-out a rank then drop him into a perverse war that US soldiers had no reasonable chance of winning. He was a war criminal who deserved life behind bars, but he wasn't the Devil.

  • @libertyordeaf I don't think he massacred the village because of stupidity, I think he got caught because of it, is it really no supriser that the only people arrested at abu graib were a sqaud of fellons borderline retards IE fallguys. Its like if a group of kids go and steal from a store, theirs always some dum kid that everyone has picked to take the blame if everything goes to hell

  • @THEBURNINGTIGERS Well if you're saying he was a scapegoat then you're exactly right. There were 26 charged with the murders at My Lai, plus another 14 for covering it up, and Calley was the only one convicted. But to suggest he was entirely or even mostly responsible is ridiculous. There was group psychology involved. They should have all been charged and held accountable, particularly Calley, Medina and the other officers.

  • @libertyordeaf Just like abu graib, the officers who ordered what went on at that prison havent even been named.

  • Amusing , the first song I have never heard about a racist mass murderer

Do the Germans have songs like this about people who ran concentration camps ?

Do the israelis have any song about the murderers at Deir Yassin ?

  • @bearriver666 No, only Americans can sink that low

  • The music sucks as bad as the message

  • Lt Calley would of fitted right in with the the SS Heinrich Himmler would be proud of you hope he rots in hell for what he and the other little Himmlers did .

  • i hope he burns in hell, he's a coward

  • @wyt3boy88: You should read and study First Hand Personal Accounts of the Troops that were there before judging Lt. Calley or any of the Troops that served in that Hellhole!!! Yes, he was a scapegoat.

My thanks to all who were given an unsavory job and did it to the best of your ability!!!!!

  • @wyt3boy88 fuck you

  • i had very bad asthma so i couldn't serve but if i did i would have done the same as Calley

  • @tinkerwizard You would have shot an infant with a 45 as your troops butchered and raped their way through a village?

  • @tinkerwizard Are you playing with a full deck? You stayed home with mama and have no idea what went on in that village. Calley was a scapegoat but there is no denying that him and his men were involved in the massacre. And you would have done the same thing?

  • @tinkerwizard good for you at least your not hateing on him like every one else on this page

  • @tinkerwizard you need help you sick fuck ,,

  • Have any of you experienced the war in vitamin? I'm assuming 98% of you have not. try experiencing motors and gun fire and the face that on small leaf can be a death trap now for those of you who did server in vitamin know what im talking about. So if you want to post shit ass remarks about are troops regardless of if they killed 100 hostiles or 100 innocent bystanders go and blog it on a web site MEANT for that other wise be quite and be happy for thouse men who fought and died for YOU!

  • @coreman47 I can barely recognize that as English.

  • @coreman47 I didn't serve in Vietnam but I respect everyone who did, I know what its like for I been to Iraq and Afghanistan

  • Your not talking out your ass at all!

  • statement: this is NOT an honoured vietnam song; this is about My Lai, a village in which only innocent vietnameze people where killed, no, MASSACRED by american soldiers. from a report came this: 'after we killed out every single soul that was left in the whole village, we went to eat. several lethal insured men, women and children screamed for help, and instead, a couple of men stood up from their plates, shot them for the second time, and went back to eat.'

  • @MyNameIsIll Finally someone who is sane. Watch out most likely you will get deranged replies from the likes of petry and his ilk till they realise calling you a terrorist sypathizer won't scare and then they'll go cry and listen to shaun hannity.

  • THANK YOU TO ALL THE MEN & WOMEN WHO SERVED. HAPPY VETERANS DAY

  • To all of you geniuses with your second guessing and mis-informed opinions just one thing, you had to be there.

  • @jimblue39 So what your saying is only the people their can judge. You do realise the falacy in your logic, since the villagers obviously had a different opinion from the US troops that means you could use that logic to support either side.

  • If your really think about it the rape puts a significant hole in the idea that they were in any kind of danger. I mean if your in mortal danger are you really going to risk getting caught literally with your pants down?

  • Taking this a little personally? I do know my history thank you; I’m about to graduate from college with a history major and am writing my graduation thesis on the Vietnam War and the Anti-War movement.

I don't see how an infant threatens anyone, or how anyone can defend a man who took a 45 and blew off and infants head at point blank. Calleys men were acting in revenge, not self preservation, is they were under such danger then why did they feel safe to rape the women and girls.

  • @THEBURNINGTIGERS Ah an educated idiot huh? Have you never heard of the Vietcong putting bombs with babies and kids. Sad that they don't teach the truth. The whole problem is the media is way to powerful and wants people to hear what they want them to hear not the truth.

  • @Petry87 Let me ask you my question again. If they were in such danger why did they feel safe enough to rape the women and girls.

As for the media the media is'nt worth watching these days. Its just a bunch of spoon fed drivel going for the lowest common denominator. People would be better off if they turned off their tv's alltogether and read books.

  • @THEBURNINGTIGERS Why should I answer your question, when you wouldn't even answer mine? You answer mine and i will answer yours, but you wanna talk history I can talk history all day. How far back do you wanna go on history mister history major. Are you failiing your class, because you are making yourself look ignorant because your not even reading what im saying I said nothing you mentoined about the media. Im tired of arguing with you and if you don't like this country GET THE HELL OUT!!!!

  • @Petry87 Here my answers to your question. I simply don’t accept that the villagers posed any danger. Even if they did I would rather die than murder unarmed civilians, I would rather be court marshaled then be a murderer.

When did I say that I didn’t love America, not supporting everything my country has ever done does not mean I hate my country. That’s like saying you hate the laws of your country because you defend Lt Calleys violation of US laws.

  • @THEBURNINGTIGERS THANK YOU TO ALL THE MEN & WOMEN WHO SERVED. HAPPY VETERANS DAY

  • @Petry87 Agreed thanks to all the men and women who honorably served their country, as apposed to those who were sentenced to life in prison.

  • You can't even answer myt question you just wanna run your mouth to look like a badass. It's obvious you never served in the military or know anyything about the Vietnam war. if you would have read you would have seen how children threatened our soilders you no good piece of shit. learn your fuck history. You would have been like Jane Fonda a fucked the Vietcong and busted your load everywhere as our soilders got shot in the head and decapitated. I will pray for you

  • Comment removed

  • Lets put everyone into a scenerio, lets say you ar in a Vietnamesse village and are unsure if the villagers are good or bad, Could they be hiding the Vietnamesse or could the children be carrying hidden bombs. Now lets say you are ordered to open fire, and don't do it, are you going to risj possible death from your own men, or possible death from the people in the village?

  • @Petry87 How the hell did the infants and small children threaten his or his soldiers lives. What about the rape, was that done in the name of his soldiers safety too. You obviously no nothing of what happened at My Lai.

  • Hiring a retard , not very smart. 9/11 sweet revenge.LOL.Still picking up the shit ? Couldn't even read a compass! Bush was smart, he dodged the draft.Heroin on every yank street, LOL.

  • "Where all the rules are broken and the only law is mine." Who wrote this song? I recommend the documentary American Experience: My Lai on Netflix. America has been propogandized as much as any totalitarian government, the only difference being we are NOT a totalitarian government. Some of the truth did come out. What about the other 2 million civilians that we killed? Calley was a scapegoat. he was following orders to kill every woman child and baby in town

  • For all the Calley fans here if the guy is really such a great guy then why did he try to put then blame on everyone else, both then and now. He blamed his officers, he blamed his colleages, he blamed everyone other then himself. If this was a justifiable act then he should be able to defend it without using such sad exscuses. CALLEY, STOP BITCHING AND TAKE SOME DAMN OWNERSHIP YOU CRYBABY.

  • @THEBURNINGTIGERS Calley didn't blame anyone. He was following orders and didn't know how not to. He always has admitted what he did and apologized to the innocent people he killed. He believed that the order to kill everyone was his mission.

  • @john48martin I agree man TheBurningTigers thinks he knows everything there is to know about things. I wonder if he knows when the world will end

  • Comment removed

  • It's all very well us judging him, but if you had spent half a year watching your friends, people you'd ate with, sleep with and fought with murdered, and for all you know the people in this village were the ones that had killed them, you'd do the same.

  • @drzoidburgrocks "MURDERED" killing grown men in war is not murder, MURDER is killing women children and old people for kicks.

  • @TheJackalWalksFree The american Intel said that the village was either full of VM or sympathetic to the VM. How would you feel if your comrades had been killed, and these 'civilians' were friendly to the same men who had caused their deaths? It's easy for us to look back in disgust, thats the benefit of hindsight

  • Comment removed

  • So some of you are saying it's okay for the enemies to kill our people, but were not allowed to defend us. Sounds like people are messed up in the head and need to wake up

  • lians. And to label all american troops as murderers is like labeling all americans as murderers. The actions of a few dont dictate the actions of the many

  • No one but calley and his superiors will likely ever know the truth about whether or not it was his fault. But lets look at it rationaly and logically. Many vietnamese civilians were killed by calleys men. But who really knows how many of those people were viet cong? I doubt that american soldiers just went into the town and killed everyone. They must have been shot at at least once. Im sure one civilian died, but the soldiers cant be blamed. They had to shoot back. The VC pose as innocent civi

  • After his return from Nam, Calley got a burger flipping job, $1.50 per hour and moved back in with his mom.Fucking queer.Unfortunately, the retarded can't be executed by the military, Texas has no such probem !

  • terry nelson should be imprisoned for this song. what kind of a piece of shit glorifies another piece of shit in song? fuck that murdering scumbag calley and fuck any of you on here that think he was "just following orders." that defense did not work for the nazi's. why don't you defend them too, you fucktards.

  • Does anybody with an IQ > 9 join the US military? Thanks to the Bush twins for serving in Iraq !

  • LT. CALLEY WAS BETRAYED BY HIS SENIOR OFFICERS.

THEY SET HIM UP TO TAKE THE FALL WHILE THEY KEEP

THEIR UNIFORMS CLEAN AND GOT PROMOTED. THERE WAS

GOOD OFFICERS IN OUR MILITARY BUT CALLEY LUCKED OUT

AND GOT A BUNCH OF KINIVERS.

AMERICA DON’T CARE MUCH ABOUT NON-COMBATENTS

GETTING KILLED OR THEY WOULD NOT HAVE DROPPED

THE BIG BOMBS ON JAPAN. SORRY ABOUT THAT, MR. CALLEY

  • This song speaks truly about the American military. Any proud American should be like this man even if they do not want to fight in a war. They should be as proud to be an American as Lt. Calley is.

  • @coreman47 BOO!!! caley was a murderer...I'd like to see the justification for killing innocent women and children.

  • @coreman47 You are a fucking moron of immense ignorance

  • @templars83 you deserve whatever evil fate awaits you in life if you truly hate are military. if you do not respect the American military in my opinion you are the closed minded, "fucking moron of immense ignorance." The American military has done nothing but good in the past, present and will continue to do so into the future. I wish that all you anti-military people out there would look past the killing part of war and look at the progress we make. if anything just respect are military

  • Comment removed

  • @coreman47 You miserable piece of shit - my grandfather served in ww2 and my dad in Nam. They both, like many other wise individuals, thought this an American disgrace, you miserable worm. I see you are an old man most likely - do yourself a favor before you pass on and learn to actually research the history of this country - proud moments and disgraceful ones as well. Maybe then you might become enlightened. I would imagine at the age of 64, you are not likely open your ignorant eyes moron!

  • @templars83 dude i fully understand that every one in this great country has there own opinion and you are entitled to yours as i am to mine, but you better watch what you say. i am currently enlisted in the United States Military i joined right out of high-school, about 2 months ago i finished basic training, within the month i am to be shipped out to the middle-east, and to know that bitches like, your right hear in the states are supporting the terrorist makes me sick you goddamn fuck.

  • @coreman47 HaHa, you are a shining beacon of ignorance and disinformation. How does one respond to "The American military has done nothing but good in the past, and present, and future." You are either completely brainwashed or intellectually challenged to actually defend that statement. Try looking beyond your pitiful public education.

  • A good soldier follows orders. A good person questions them.

  • Pretty morally bankrupt country where 25000 people a day were supporting a man that would have been properly punished for his warcrimes anywhere else. Where else would so many people support someone responsible for murdering babies in the name of patriotism. What a pity this guy wasnt tried properly outside the US like another Milosovic etc. Even he never shot babies and infants as far as I know.

  • growing up when Lt Calley was being cruxified remeber the sentiment of all my age. He was doing what he was ordered to do nothing more nothing less. He was in a no win, do as ordered or face court marshal for disobeying orders or be a scape goat for a bunch of incompetent "superior" officers. My support is to the Lt.

  • @Southernmansy Take a poll with the question: Would you rather murder babies or face a court-martial (that you'd probably win). Be sure to get back to us with your results.

  • @DorakoftheHillPeople he would NOT have won a court martial. He was the scapegoat and to cover his superiors, he had to go down.

  • @LynetteBarclayBush Wrong. Think context. The question is raised at the moment the decision was to be made, not after the fact. Scapegoating wouldn't have been necessary as the incident would not have taken place. The court martial would have been for his failure to obey a direct order, not for murder. He would have won that court martial as the order in question was immoral and in violation of the Geneva Convention and the US Army's rules of engagement.

  • @Southernmansy Not every-body in the USA is brain dead, and some can think independently

regardless of puplic skuttlebut / rumors.

Your comments give me faith and I wish there were more like you.

MY DEAPEST REGARDS AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I am old and pass the

the torch of freedom to you and put it in your hands.

My the heavens bless you for speaking out for what is right.

  • William Calley - what a fucking twat

  • unless you have picked up a wepon and fought on forign soil keep your mouth shut

  • I see the sentiment behind this song. However it does not explain why 123 children under the age of 5 were killed by American troops at Mai Lai. The only American casualty was a soldier who shot himself in the foot.

500 peeople died at Mai Lai. Many were raped or physically mutilated before they were shot.

  • v.c. also had prostitutes with razor blades taped in their holes ,. luring our army fellow men

  • the v.c had kids 5 years old and younger throwing bombs in our jeeps people r so stupid

  • oliver north gave the orders now in washington ., dumbassess

  • This should serve as a reminder to everyone of who evil the world really is... imagine if you're toddler was shot down and left dead in the street for nothing... then imagine the men who did it were treated like heroes... its enough to make you go insane

  • he was and is a murdering prick who got off on killing, end of, and if you dont believe read the transcripts.

  • hey the blame goes to the lowest ranking officer around (mr calley in this case) and it was one of them "shit rolls down hill and your the last stop" he did what the higher ups told him to do. and really who can u trust most of the VC were living in the same citys and towns as the regular people

  • @sgtslaughter22 In regards to Lt. Calley's role in the massacre, maybe after seeing many comrades/fellow soldiers die in the war, he lost it, or maybe he was a sadistic bastard. I don't know. I DO know that 1 person/soldier isn't solely responsible for the death/slaughter of 300+ civilians. That being the case, why was he the only 1 singled out for ALL the attention & discipline?

  • @gjc82071 he was singled out because shit rolls down hill & he was being buried in shit at the bottom.

  • @sgtslaughter22 Sorry, after researching this a bit more, I take back what I said.

  • Awe, bullshit. Where you fucking there? Have you pulled combat duty? The soldiers who fought, didn't start this fucking war. They only followed orders, for the most part. Yeah, when my squad lost a couple of brothers, we went back, and took matters into our own hands. You damned straight we did. That is what you do for brothers. Do or Die, and that is just the way it was.

  • @tcogden I just need a little clarification. You invaded another country, killed people, and then felt resentful when they fought back?

I glad I never joined the military. I would have a hard time getting excited about killing people just because someone in a shinier uniform told me to. It would be refreshing to hear someone admit they did something wrong instead of saying "but I was just following orders."

  • do you have flip=side of 45:"Routine Patrol."

  • war is hell , Kelly did not start this war or any other. He was just a soldier.

war is the resuilt of sick societys. and the soldires bear the blunt of the

war. War is a crime. YOU SICKOS IN THE AMREICAN SOCIETY SHOULD

BE ASHAMED FOR LETTING THIS WAR HAPPEN. IF GOING TO BLAME

KELLY , GOTTA BLAME A WHOLE LOT MORE.

  • Calley was a scapegoat! Captain Medina should have been prosecuted and sentenced to life in prison. Lt. Colonel Frank Barker got his just rewards, he died while flying around in his helicopter.

  • Calley is a hero. Fuck the damned gooks anyone who fights with America gets fucked up plain and simple I hate everyone we've ever fought

  • @dhredneck1861 People like you...

  • @dhredneck1861 Fucken A, man

  • @dhredneck1861

Well, I'm sure there's a recruiting office in your nearest town. Since you feel so stirred up by it, why don't you join up?

You'll love it, they give you a gun and helmet and everything!

  • @dhredneck1861 America's collective intelligence is very polar

  • He helped massacre over 300 innocent, unarmed civilians. THERE WAS NO RIFLE FIRE!!!!!!

  • Ahahah you dumb Nazi bastards still believe this shit. It's a shame you're all too goddamned old to get killed in commission of a war crime like you deserve.

  • Cally is a prick. Following orders? It was US army instruction that a soldier had a duty to disobey any orders which "a man of ordinary sense and understanding would know to be illegal." Does this mean the guy is a brain wrong as well as a cock?

  • @TheCoop114

It is all well that there is such an instruction, but what matters is how the army chooses to uphold it.

Was anyone ever court-martialled for disobeying that instruction? Compare that to how many that was court-martialled for disobeying orders, and you will have the answer to it.

With that said, I personally think that Calley should have disobeyed any such order, as should any soldier in any army.

  • @Styvistan The way the army chooses to up hold the instruction is irrelevant and comparing it to how many were court-martialled for disobeying orders is an appeal to pity. You are passing the buck just like Calley himself.

  • @TheCoop114 I´m not passing anything. I´m simply trying to say that there could be more to it than what meets the eye. In this case, there are two rules standing against eachother: the general rule that states the duty to boey orders, and an specific one that states the duty to disobey unlawful orders. The outcome of this conflict of rules will depend (among other things) on which of the two rules the army chooses to emphasize, e.g the number of court-martials for each rule...

  • ...with this said, it should be obvious to everone that what happened was a war atrocity. The Nuremberg trials made it clear beyond any shadow of a doubt that each and one is responsible for his/her actions, regardless of the orders given.

  • @Styvistan disobeying an order IN WAR is treason.............punishable by death by your OWN country. Suck on THAT for a while & don't be so quick to judge. Let God do that.

  • @LynetteBarclayBush actually, Sweden abolished the war-time death penalty in 1974 and since the same year death penalty is explicitly forbidden by the swedish constitution and it was renewed in 2010. Furthermore, Calley had two orders to follow, right? One ordering him to clear the village and one (standing) forbidding such actions as the ones that took place. I WON´T suck on that for a while and I haven´t been quick to judge.

  • @LynetteBarclayBush

Disobeying a direct order is not treason. Attempting to overthrow the government or selling state secrets are examples of treason. You are misinformed.

  • Comment removed

  • @LynetteBarclayBush Disobeying an unlawful order is not treason you idiot.

  • @TheCoop114 what are you a politician? what you say only holds true on paper, so government officials and army leaders can hide behind it to cover their own fat asses!

in real life, if a US soldier refuses or questions orders from a superior officer, he is kicked out of the army labeled undisciplined behavior...

  • @Otrocl No i am not a politician, and this is not so officials can cover the “fat asses” it is an attempt to stop people like calley to do things like he did. Also you said “in real life, if a US soldier....” well it is real life......

  • @Otrocl why are you trying to tell me about real life when this is real?

  • @Otrocl Sadly I think your right to a point. I doubt that has even changed today. No one was going to shoot calley tor not murdering children though. His men could perhaps use that defence, not medina or calley.

  • @TheCoop114 easy to say from a safe place in the US and A

i am a german and i know sometimes people follow orders even if its irrational and evil....

  • @1taz1waz i dont live in the US

  • @TheCoop114 have you ever been to war?, and yes he went to prison for following orders so why wasn't something done to those who gave the orders. A war veteran should never been talked bad about like that if it wasn't for people like him your ass wouldn't be here. You don't love my country get the HELL OUT

  • @Petry87 Hahaha. You sound like a whiny bitch. But his superiors as well as his soldiers would have been lined up and shot.

  • @TheJackalWalksFree And you sound like a gutless coward, who would be to much of a fuckin Pussy to fight for your country instead of being a man. Grow some balls instead of being an Un-American pussy

  • @Petry87 Grow enough courage to stand up for basic morality and justice instead of defending a murdering coward. If you don't think he was a coward you shoudl read about his legal defence were he basicly played dumb, too no responsibility and blamed his superiors for everything.

  • @THEBURNINGTIGERS I've got the courage enough to die for my country and do whatever it takes to protect everyone who believes that soilders are murdering cowards. I agree innocent people do die but thats war you gotta face those facts. He had to do what he was told and he did.

  • @Petry87 The I was ordered defence works just as well as saying I was ignorant of the law. Its not considered an escuse under either US or Internation Law. By the way if you want want my opinion I think the entire high cammand should have should have been charged, and not only for Vietnamese deaths but for the Americans who died fighting for a war that was fought on false pretenses.

  • @TheCoop114 So your saying it's okay for our men to die without fighting back and protecting this country. Why don't you leave this country then if you don't love it

  • @TheCoop114

WHATS WITH THIS MAN OF ORDINARY SENSE AND UNDERSTANDING.

if humans were intellegent and had any sense there wouldnt be any wars

in the first place. If a guy got some of that good sense and understanding

if dries up in war and combat. sorry old champ

  • Thank you LT. Calley and all soldiers for your brave services!!

  • @redneckpax He massacred over 300 innocent, unarmed civilians. Brave services? He was a coward!

  • @sweetmameauxe Thank you LT Calley, id be proud to know id serve my country as heroic as you did SIR! God bless all soldiers us and our allies have to offer!!

  • He deserved a life sentence.

  • did MU anthem taken inspired from this song?

  • Praise you Lt Calley, we need more heroes like you in this world we live in now!!

  • God bless LT Calley, and his sacrifice for us all, id like to think if i was faced with the same orders id follow thru as well, God bless ALL soldiers, we love you all !!!!!

  • Something like this disgusts me. He was charged with 109 murders. When the nazis used the 'I was only following orders' excuse, they were still prosecuted and most of the time executed.

  • thank you to all soldiers who fought for us, in all situations, we all are free because of you, you are all my heroes and i pray god blesses you with the greatest life imaginable, thank you calley, thank you all vets from all wars, we love you all and all your sacrifices, i will stand and salute you all any day and time, god bless all you HEROES!!!

  • Battle Hymn of a murderer.

  • @emoeya

  • You mean Battle Hymn of an American Soilder, Its sad when people in this country give up on their soilders and country

  • may God bless LT. Calley forever, and all soliders who protected us and followed orders, i thank every single American soldier.

  • Madina and Calley should still be in jail along with the anti-war crowd in the States that sold out our victory in Vietnam.

  • @yoyoofloco

Victory ??? 250.000 G.I died in the Vietnam war. and millions were wounded or suffer at PTMS.

  • How the fuck can people like a coward like Calley...

  • Unless you were there, don't judge. I was on a bus in downtown DaNang when a 6 0r 7 year old boy tried to hang a grenade on the chain link that covered the bus windows. MaMa San tried to sneak a satchel charge onto DaNang Air base hidden inside a baby carriage, under the baby. My point is that you DID NOT know who was VC and who was an innocent civilian. In those circumstances, one tends to err on the side of caution, i.e., living.

  • @TheVNvet

I believe you when you say it was very difficult tu discerm between VC and the civillian. VC operated in the underground. But eliminating a hole vilage will not justify this warcrime. what about the genfer convetion article IV and the Haager Landkriegsabkommen ? The U. S sign both. And so the Soldiers of your army have to follow these orders. In WW II there were many German officers who ignorate the orders by Hitler. they took a high risk and many of them were killed by Gestapo.

  • @TheVNvet Living doesn't dictate killing 350 people

  • Comment removed

  • Calley and his men were murder and slaughterer. They all must go to prison for many years. warcrime prescribe never.

And yuo can believe me. I am a german I stayed in Yugoslavia with our army and I know our history

  • So basically, what this comes down to is that shooting old women and children in the name of mistaken identity is inexcusable. Faulty intelligence, whatever. Still murdering innocents, and we established that shit was evil in the Nuremberg trials. We fucking hung nazis for that. Oh and, protip, you can stop defending the most misguided military fuckup in the USFG's history now. It's over, and it just makes conservatives look dumb when they maintain it was a good idea.

  • you don't send someone to a foreign country armed with a gun

then throw them in jail for murder

  • @Arkimedes999 Yes you do. Soldiers killing soldiers in combat is not murder. It is what we must do (yes I have been to combat). Soldiers killing innocents out of anger or revenge. That is murder. Only someone completely lacking morals would do what Calley and his men did.

  • Is this suppose to be ironic?

  • @penguinegg01 No, that's what makes it even funnier than deliberate parody. When I stand before that Great Commander in the sky, I will proudly state, "No sir, I didn't run from those unarmed men, women, children, and cattle. I fought for freedom by plugging every one of them as they ran or stood where we put them. And then, we burned everything to show them a taste of hell that I'm sure you will approve of. I followed the Greatest Commandment by loving my enemies to death. God Bless USA!"

  • Calley should have served the original sentence. He is a piece of human garbage who should have been executed instead of slapped on the wrist.

  • @truebluefliplover : Not a Piece of Garbage-An American Soldier doing his Freaking Job!

You Pansy Assed Liberals need to grow a set and get over it!

  • @SuperMichelleKelley I spent 20 years on active duty and I have served my country in combat. I see how you can call me a Pansy Assed Liberal. I don't have the vast combat experience that you apparently have.

  • @truebluefliplover :I admire your Service to Our Great Country-I am a Retired Veteran, myself.

The Entire Story was not out out there for the Public to View.

I went to get the Records, Under The Freedom of Information Act-all Pertinant Information was Blacked Out and they only gave me Crappy Quality Copies.

I Apologise for Offending a Fellow Veteran-sadly most of those giving my Very Close Relative He// are Pansy-Assed Liberals that know absolutly nothing about the Military

  • @SuperMichelleKelley Thank you and I apologize for being so rude. Your response shows that you have a strong sense of integrity and I respect that. I am sure that you will agree that the things we experienced in the service of our country changed us. I don't regret serving one bit, but as I get older, I am more and more concerned with what we teach the young soldiers and potential soldiers. What they see in the movies and read in school doesn't always ring true. We must enlighten them.

  • @SuperMichelleKelley **** I ran out of space in the previous message. Thank you for your service too. I do truly appreciate your service and sacrifice.

  • Like there is legal precedent and everything

  • Following orders is not a defense for war crimes you retards

  • calley, a big hero ?

    child killer.

  • @freethequeen didnt children die when Japan was nuked?

  • @Arkimedes999

yeah, of course. what is the point you are making ?

  • "Great God! What is this terrible music?"

  • Face it, the man WAS following Orders.War is not pretty!

Do not think such things do not happen in Present Day Wartime!

Calley was made a Scapegoat and he has suffered more than due to the Bleeding Heart Liberals!

It was a matter of kill or be killed and Lt. Calley followed the Orders he was given, like any good Soldier.

Calley did what he had to do and that is final!

You whiners probably were the ones to treat OUR Vietnam Vets like CRAP when they came home from the HELL of Vietnam!

  • @DMShults1 I think everybody here respects that war is difficult and that perhaps too much blame is put on Calley, but the thing is, they weren't being shot at, the locals didn't put up any opposition, infact one of Calleys men was standing around guarding the Vietnamese people and he gave the soldier direct orders to kill them all. He may of been following orders, but he is not a hero.

  • Great video and fabulous song. I was in Canadian Army at the time (1969-70) and although we were not in Nam, my sympathies were 100% with USA. I have Known many Nam vets who told me what they endured and I believe Calley was justified. Had I been there, I would have shot the bloody lot of them too. Thank God for the leniency extended by President Nixon, himself a misunderstood and misjudged man.William Calley should be proud that he did his duty in a dirty war. He should not have apologized.

  • @ulsterprod1 you're joking, right? good one.

  • @dudeeful1 Not in the least. I am 100% serious. Calley was a scapegoat for those in higher authority. You will notice that only the lowly 2Lt. was forced to pay the price; the officers of more exalted rank were exonerated. My comments on President Nixon also reflect my beliefs. As a veteran Of WWII, Nixon understood the concept of DUTY, HONOUR, COUNTRY. He exercised clemency because it was warranted.

  • @ulsterprod1 Calley was only doing his duty
