  • YOU SHOULD CLEAN YOUR CAR BEFORE DOING ANY VIDEO

  • @yanbls01

You should learn how to turn off your caps lock.

  • Holy shit Batman. That's a lot of crap to do. I was worried about my car cause its Turbo is kinda back in there. Good luck to who ever does this mod

  • this seems like a complete pain in the ass

  • What kind of sound system do have in the car.

  • @nitro300

    mostly stock, some custom stuff.

  • so much work.....

  • the best way i found to remove the washer fluid, was to remove the fog light/the plastic where the fog light would go if you dont have fog lights and makes life a LITTLE easier, still want to kick that guy in the nuts

  • AEM way better then K &N

  • @Lilmiddwest262

So far I agree, love this intake.

  • wtf.. you have to go thru all that just to install an AIC!?!?.. geezus.. you might as well swap your engine....

  • Hey I did this using AEM's exact instructions, witha 10mm extension so I didnt have to remove the headlight or any of the stuff you did. Took me all of 20 minutes to install this and I have very little experience doing self installs

  • so of ur car is manual, I can leave the two holes unplug?

  • @ericleeSupSayK

The holes have to be either plugged into the hoses, or covered with a vacuum plug otherwise you'll get unfiltered air into your intake.

  • @Snoopy0812 this applies to manual and auto right?

  • @ericleeSupSayK

    Yup.

Auto's have one hose that connects to the intake for the valve cover breather.

Manuals have two, one for the valve cover and the second for the brake booster.

People who own an automatic will have to go buy a 5/16 or 3/8 (can't remember which one) vacuum cap to cover the second hose port otherwise dirty air goes into clean engine.

If you have any other questions or need more help send me a PM on Gencoupe

  • @Snoopy0812 Ok let's make this easier, I have a manual, what I need to do?

  • have you ever tried a ratcheting close end wrench? slow but will save you from ripping the bumper off.

  • @wompwomp55

I didn't have one handy (it's on my christmas wishlist *crosses fingers*) otherwise I would have, but that is a good suggestion for people who might be looking at doing this.

  • seems like a lot of work for the little gain you'll get from the intake...

    Great video though man! thanks!

  • @adamaoc

might be a little gain but every bit counts in the end right? :P

I plan on getting new intercooler pipes, intercooler and maybe an axel back since the stock is already pretty free flowing once I took out the unnecesary second cat.

  • nice video
