lol... 1:21 turned those wheels to the right a little too late... how he got thru the first part, but not the hill afterwards is beyong me. And why didn't they try to roll it back over in the same direction it came from? I know it's up a hill, but I'd think the lift or whatever it was could do it... instead of damaging BOTH sides of the jeep.
I'm surprised that Rausch allowed such an unsafe recovery. Damn strap almost took a guy's head off and people still standing around during recovery. I seen a strap break & punch a hole thru an XJ hatch - much tougher than a person's face!
@1Frankenrango -I can 't speak for them but, When I took this film it was no big deal, however you are right, better caution should have been taken. I think that with the hype of the incident we all forgot about it... Since then, the driver has purchased a another vehicle and is back on the track again. Thanks for the comment.
No stupid question; The Lockers engage the axles in a lock position providing you better traction on both wheels rather than just one. By having both wheels locks you are able to climb most obsticles with great ease, cause both are turning at the same time. Kind of like possi-lock on cars. When you have both front and rear wheels locked, then you are invinsable cause you want to climb everything, and that's when things happen.
Man he smash the windshield, crushed the canopy and then stripped the Jeep and junked it. It was a heck of a day for him, but he lived to joke about it and rebuilt another. Only this time he built a roll cage within it.... Thanks for the comment
He was able to run it still, but after that he decided to just sit out the rest of the day and let the adrenaline wearout. He now had a bad ass GZ in better shape and ready to take off where the olderone left off. Thanks for the comments.
if he would have turned harder to the right & gave it gas. That was a nice ass jeep too. That would of pissed me off so bad that i would of just wheel the shit out of it after that.

Yea, looks can be desiving at times, that's why you rely on the spotter to guide you. Only this time he couldn't see him. Ouch is right!

he crushed the top and support pillars, ended up cutting it up, stripping it down, bought another one and got a roll cage installed on it.

Cool video, but editing would have made it even better. Try Jahshaka. A bit tricky to figure out, but it's free :)
