Bravo!!!!!!!....... grande talento seguito da un invidiabile controllo......forse qualche "pazzia" in piú non avrebbe guastato, anzi.....ma OTTIMA esecuzione.....bravo ancora.....
YAY! go violas! :) i play one myself and i hope to be good like him:) but its gonna take a while! by the way..i hate it when violin players mistake a viola for a violin! GET A FRIKIN CLUE!
As requested, here's my 2 cents on this video: that's a very difficult technique, in my opinion, as I struggle with it myself! Looks like a cross between sautille and ricochet, a technique also found in Mendelssohn 1st mvmt right after the cadenza. If anyone knows how to execute this technique, I'd appreciate a video or explanation!
I REALLY love this by the way.. like there are many other viola players that are amazing, but this guy has character and is assertive and happy when he plays and just really knows how to play
I am a violinist myself... and I also noticed that his bow hold is really incorrect... his pinky should be bent and on the end, thumb may need to be bent and his ring finger needs to be down more..
I've noticed that he holds his bow extremely weirdly while doing spiccato/sautille/whatever you wanna call it. It's almost as if he's holding the bow like a gold club.
Nevertheless, his playing has great character. I don't know much of violinists, but his charisma is amazing, and his playing is brilliant.
wat een vreugde zoveel viool talent

i think he's fantasic. the only thing violinistic I hear is the piece he's playing. He's got a gorgeous viola sound full of color.

He's good, but he plays in a very violinistic sort of way.

The only difference between a viola and a violin is a viola burns longer.

That's cool, however I like most the first part in the original version that have to be played in the upper octave, it's more dramatic
