I am almost in tears...This clip is very moving..My God is an awesome God, He reigns on heaven on high, with wisdom power and love my God is an awesome God! This vid really puts things in perspective, on how our lives should be fully surrendered unto Him.

The missionaries' hands were bound by ropes. The ropes falling to the ground is meant to symbolize that these two who were faithful to Christ until the end are now truly free.  A visual "well done, good and faithful servant," if you will.
