@cKlutcHJ21 I knew it... and still I can't understand why people like an ugly, big solid color tile while me and my friends being sick from this look. In this way I can use a windows 95-like style... and that's better than Metro. The worst thing, Ms want this crap for windows 8. So I think it's helpful in a little screen mobile, worse on tablets and for laptops... it's ridiculous! Especially with this green color... Do you have any idea why it's so good?
@PhotoshopFunStudio I think it's more of personal preference. Like for me, when I had an Android, I hated how the icons looked because they were all shaped differently (unlike the iOS icons). I tend to like the Metro look more than iOS and Android because I like the consistency and sharp edges, not like the iOS curved edges. I also like the LiveTiles. They're like widgets that don't drain your batteries that much. It's also something new and different from the grid of icons from iOS and Android.

And curved edges look like better cuz the sharped edge with Metro style like paper squares and if Ms could done a normal widget, it would have been great. Then (only curiosity) why don't you like an animated eg.: calendar in android. I think it's cool.

@PhotoshopFunStudio The problem I think with widgets in Android is how much they suck away battery life. I have literally packed my start screen with live tiles in WP and I still got over 1 day of use.
I like the design of HTC widgets and a few of the Samsung widgets, but overall, I think it is over the top. WP brings elegance through simplicity and that's what's won me over from Android.
W8 needs a lot of work before it goes live. I don't like how you go from metro to classic out of nowhere.

What Android brings is the wow factor, the style, and the coolness. What minimalism brings is elegance and class, and that is what you get with WP. It's not the OS for people that want something that looks cool, but it is for the people who wants a classy OS.

I love my Windows Mobile 6.5 phone. It's not as fast as the Windows 7 phone but I love the layout and the fact I can modify it. Your review is good but as far as I can see you really don't give one or the other a better review they both have there plus and minus. After looking into the Windows 7 phone the only thing I see is that it's really more of a social networking phone at first look other then that it's about the same just does stuff a bit better and faster. Your thoughts.

Great video to see side by side..but can someone comment on the WP7 email interface..on the htc touchflo for 6.5, you could have two outlook accounts with immediate access to both..(ex., corp exchange, home pop3 email..NOT Gmail, NOT Hotmail)..Does WP7 allow this in either the primary interface or in the htc hub for sense? @Weskerphodastico um the Zune marketplace has existed for years, before WP7. The blank background and the monochrome tiles (and only a few are monochrome) are to save battery power, and yes the WP7's are way more power efficient than iOS.
it could have been rocked out if the WP7 didn't have the box but curved boxes. the design of winows in 7 here looks left out. like, "just put this there! and that there!" so that they can say something new.

As someone who just came off a week of WP7, who was a heavy WM6.5 guy I must say that I was very disappointed in WP7. I mean it was a great phone if you want an Iphone without having an Iphone. I was a heavy customizer of WM 6.5 and I likes being able to go to many places to get my apps. Some worked and some didn't. I know you had to soft reset a lot 'annoying', but I did with with WP& once also. I am now a new Android man just because of better hardware.
I used to love iOS and Android.. Now, somehow, I prefer WM 6.5 over them all.. WM 6.5 is the most mature OS.. It gives you what you need rather than useless gimics and flashy effects which just eat the battery and you feel such a shame pulling it out of your pocket! Windows 7 is so constrictive! Bottom Line I didn't buy my phone so that the os looks just like everyone else. How boring, on my Touch Pro 2 I have the option of running the standard os, Android os, and any of the thousand spb mobile shells which includes a very similar Windows 7 shell. No brainer. The only thing I agree with is the lack of apps in the market place.

I must disagree on statement that iPhone would have "A very easy way to multitask" firstly it does not multitask by default and secondly I don't share your opinnion on it being easy eighter. Look for article: "Multitasking With iOS 4 is Horrible: Apple Blew It". By far the best implementation on multitasking I have seen so far is in Maemo 5.

I get the sense that the reviewer doesn't really understand the reason for the design changes. He says "you really can't reorganize your apps" Well that's because for frequently used apps you're supposed to pin them to the start screen. It's the whole purpose behind live tiles. I've said this a million times, yes the look is primitive, but the functionality is uncompared. WP7 is customizeable because you can place the live tiles in any order you want, and with whatever apps you want.
The reason why I like WM 6.5 is the same reason why I like Windows on my PC. I know how to get to where I want, how to customize it to do what I need, and even though it may have faults, I'm already aware of it's faults and weaknesses. So, I'll never pick up my Omnia 2 and ask it to do something it can't. I'm afraid if I buy a WP 7 device I'm going to get a pretty device with a fancy active home screen and little other strengths.
I'll stick with what I got for a little while longer.

As you've said, WM 6 has been around for ages, WP 7 was just released! You must really hate it, and (a few comments below mine) also says you should test them both without any add-ons, plugins, etc.

Great video to see side by side..but can someone comment on the WP7 email interface..on the htc touchflo for 6.5, you could have two outlook accounts with immediate access to both..(ex., corp exchange, home pop3 email..NOT Gmail, NOT Hotmail)..Does WP7 allow this in either the primary interface or in the htc hub for sense? It does not allow this on Android OS..You have to select a primary which sux!! Nobody seems to demo Outlook/Exhange and if you are only limited to 1 preferred acount vs. both.

@HairfullofMetal ...I know GMail is it's own App/Widget...I know Hotmail is the same...I am not talking about that type of multiple email acct setup...I am only referring to Outlook/Pop 3 accounts...Just for clarity's sake...Simply put..Can you have multiple outlook/exchange/pop3 accounts accessible from the same email app on the WP7 tile...or HTC Sense Hub? Or do you have to painfully swap your primary account to work in a specified email account...

@Weskerphodastico um the Zune marketplace has existed for years, before WP7. The blank background and the monochrome tiles (and only a few are monochrome) are to save battery power, and yes the WP7's are way more power efficient than iOS.

Look I have Andriod Desire 2.2 running on my HTC HD2 Leo Thanks To XDA , and I think Android running on HTC HD2 is better then both 6 N 7 Windows, and I will go as far to say will stand-up to I Phone.

As someone who just came off a week of WP7, who was a heavy WM6.5 guy I must say that I was very disappointed in WP7. I mean it was a great phone if you want an Iphone without having an Iphone. I was a heavy customizer of WM 6.5 and I likes being able to go to many places to get my apps. Some worked and some didn't. I know you had to soft reset a lot 'annoying', but I did with with WP& once also. I am now a new Android man just because of better hardware.

I used to love iOS and Android.. Now, somehow, I prefer WM 6.5 over them all.. WM 6.5 is the most mature OS.. It gives you what you need rather than useless gimics and flashy effects which just eat the battery and you feel such a shame pulling it out of your pocket! I don't know which phone i'll get, but I would be an easy pic if the Desire HD was a Windows Mobile 6.5 device and if Microsoft promised to release updates constantly!

don't forget there is NO file explorer in WM7 and if you have the license for the media on your PC and you copy it over to your WM7 device, you will have to purchase another license to listen or watch!

Windows 7 is so constrictive! Bottom Line I didn't buy my phone so that the os looks just like everyone else. How boring, on my Touch Pro 2 I have the option of running the standard os, Android os, and any of the thousand spb mobile shells which includes a very similar Windows 7 shell. No brainer. The only thing I agree with is the lack of apps in the market place.

I must disagree on statement that iPhone would have "A very easy way to multitask" firstly it does not multitask by default and secondly I don't share your opinnion on it being easy eighter. Look for article: "Multitasking With iOS 4 is Horrible: Apple Blew It". By far the best implementation on multitasking I have seen so far is in Maemo 5.

I appreciated your video...but I still don't know which one to choose. I fell in love with the HD2, and when trying to purchase one this past weekend at a T-Mo store, I was being pushed the HD7. Now, I'm not sure what to do. So, I'm here looking for research and will wait for Black Friday to call customer care and purchase over the phone. Can anybody help me? I think the HD2 looks so much like a android, but I like the netflix feature on the HD7. HELP!

I get the sense that the reviewer doesn't really understand the reason for the design changes. He says "you really can't reorganize your apps" Well that's because for frequently used apps you're supposed to pin them to the start screen. It's the whole purpose behind live tiles. I've said this a million times, yes the look is primitive, but the functionality is uncompared. WP7 is customizeable because you can place the live tiles in any order you want, and with whatever apps you want.

The reason why I like WM 6.5 is the same reason why I like Windows on my PC. I know how to get to where I want, how to customize it to do what I need, and even though it may have faults, I'm already aware of it's faults and weaknesses. So, I'll never pick up my Omnia 2 and ask it to do something it can't. I'm afraid if I buy a WP 7 device I'm going to get a pretty device with a fancy active home screen and little other strengths.
I'll stick with what I got for a little while longer.

From the time my main WM6 apps are available on android I will switch to it. The people are sending back the WP7 phones - one big reason - NO SYNC with Windows / Outlook ..

The WM7 looks like it doesn't use the whole screen sometimes and like the screen is too small for what's on it at other times... :-o
f.ex. why is there a black bar on the right in the "home screen" and at 4:59 wtf...
oh it's: "music -" no wait "sic + vid" no wait there is more... it's "+videos" and last but not least the "ideos" and "eos" "tab" .
