  • You do an excellent job Daffy. I'm sure you make Chet proud. We need more like you.

  • thanks i love to hear chet play cheeck to cheeck ad its so nice with the lovely lovely pics

  • daffydough thanks for sharing your collections of this great guitarist, you blessed me with such beautiful tunes, what a great feeling..... can't help but subscribe to you. Thanks again and God bless!

  • It really blesses me to hear that! And I mean that with all my heart. I can't tell you how much it means to me.

I try..I really try to just be a blessing by sharing Chet's music, which has blessed ME for decades. It's tons of work..some of the nicer videos take hours to make.

But I want to do Chet proud.

So if I'm making someone else's day brighter. if I bring some sunshine where none was before, then I will have reckoned in the end that i did the Lord's will.

  • I reckon that's the way Chet would have wanted it. So in the end, its the spirit of his music that is passed on.

Keep watchin'! I have a few more ideas for some vids before I hang up my keyboard!

  • oh! man, no wonder i felt the same you did. I am now trying to learn to play Chet Atkin's music with my guitar coz this style i know will never die. If I can play well one song then I will be so happy. Thanks FOR BEING SO KIND.

  • The music is addicting. By that, I mean once you learn one song, you then want to learn another, and another...

  • daffydoug! I am a big fan of you for a few months and of chet atkins, 'the certified guitar player' for a few decades ^^ The legend will never die, and I'm sure he'll leave us his successor.........

  • As far as a successor, I'm not sure ANYBODY will ever fill his shoes.

  • it seems you post versions of Chet songs that I never heard, What album is this from.

    Spencer.

  • True... I have a lot of rare Chet tunes and studio out-takes, and such...

But this particular tune was from one of Chet's mainstream albums; "Solo Flights."

Chet recorded one other version of this tune toward the end of his career. I will post that some time coming up. (The challenge is finding enough "cutsie" pictures to fill a video!)

I try to give a little something extra for the eyes and heart to go along with the music, whenever possible.

  • @daffydoug As you know, Chet used a guitar creation of his called the "Octobass" guitar (it had two bass strings wired in to the 5th & 6th strings. He always said when he used it, it sounded like someone playing a bad guitar and a bad bass. I take exception. It sounds great to me. This one and "Three Little Words" are both songs he played using that guitar that I absolutely love listening to.

  • @DUGGER1947 Me too. I always thought it was A GREAT sound.

  • Chet makes a simple song sound so pretty he was truely a master thanks Doug

  • You're welcome Mick.

I posted this as a response to a special request.
