Next year BMW will present the K1300R with about 180hp! Maybe the K1200R will de then more affordable. It´s a great bike.

It´s nice to live here. Great roads, the Alps are very close you can do mountainbiking, skiing and so on. I think Germany is one of the nicest countries to live in with a very high quality of life. The people are very disciplinated, everything is good organised an clean. But the US is certainly also great. It´s so huge and wide...I Think. Where do you live?

I live in Pennsylvania a lot of my ancestors came from Germany and Switzerland. So am part German and Swiss. I love being an American don't get me wrong but living in Germany would be great. I like orderly and nice people.

I think in some ways America is over rated. Yes we are free mostly be I think cities get worst everday. Im sure if we compared Germany and the USA's crime rate Germany would be lower. This is irelevent but I still know some people that dont like Germans because of what hapend in WWII and they wern't even in the war. I think that is wrong. I also know of soldiers from both sides that are friends now. Have you ever been to the remnants of one of the consentration camps?

Yes I visited two. It´s terrible and very sad. But I´m also sad about the people who don´t like germans because of this after 60 years. I think there is nearly no country which can look into his history and say " Yes, we did everything right!" Just think of slavery and how a lot of native cultures were treated in the past. But don´t let us start a political or moralic discussion.

Hi!

Yes indeed, there is a big difference between the R1200GS and the K1200R. The R1200GS has the classic BMW aircooled 2-cylinder Boxerengine with 100 hp. The K1200R has a liquidcooled inline 4-cylinder engine with 163hp. The GS is a big enduro for all purposes the K1200R is (sorry ...was) the most powerfull naked bike until Suzuki presented the B-King.

major differences. The R1200 series is a horizontally-opposed twin, whereas the k1200 series is an inline 4-cylinder. Also, the R1200 "GS" is a dual-purpose bike, where the K1200 "R" is naked version of the K1200 "s" sportbike.
