Lastly you looked so pretty, feminine, and fashionable, how could we ever harm you. You are the reason a man would want to defend his home, to protect the things he loves. I am sure you husband has that job clearly nailed down. Although there are those times when husband must be away. God Bless Gianni
Oh, btw Mickey, when I first fired the M1911, it was many years ago, and like no other handgun I have fired, yes it has that terrific kick. But I might offer another perspective...Any crazed man upon seeing someone as lovely as you holding, what I feel is the ultimate death gun, in her pretty hand an M1911a1, should immediately run as fast as possible. In other words even before you pull the trigger, it has the awesome visual power to make an adversary think twice. That is preferred...hmmmm?
Safety tip - I cannot see your right index finger clearly, but it should only be inside the trigger guard and along the side of the frame when you are ready to shoot. This is really important, because if you need to interrupt your firing for any reason, you do not want to risk an "accidental" discharge...
Now, my wife is deathly afraid of guns, so I'm not holding my breath on getting her to a range, let alone wearing such a fashionable outfit! ;^>
@chemech Thank you for the tip. Too bad you're wife doesn't come with you, but I can understand her fear. I don't shoot very much, I just come along with husband sometimes to cheer him on, and to shoot a few shots. I like sharing in his hobby, but I don't go all the time. I have an idea, tell you wife you'll buy her nice clothes if she wears it to the range with you:)) haha. Thank you for viewing and commenting.
@mickeylehuynh Mickey, My wife is very old fashioned Chinese - I keep showing her where other Chinese women her age, even from the mainland! are more modern than she is - gently! I don't need her getting jealous or digging in her heals to resist! ;^>
Maybe I can drag her to the indoor range on Kearny Mesa Rd in San Diego after we get dim sum down there when we visit family... Or, a double date with my buddy and his wife when we go up to our local range ;^D
@chemech I see, I understand now. Usually, Asian women are very scare of guns. They think it will explode if they touch it. Show your wife the gun slowly at home. Let her be familiar with it to ease the fear. Maybe in time she will feel better.
@mickeylehuynh Mickey, She actually admitted that she fired a few rounds through a rifle one day as part of her reserve officer's training at university in China...
I think that she's afraid that any gun might go off on its own, and since she's in medicine she's afraid that the gun might hurt someone as if it has a mind of its own.
I'm an engineer, so I'm not able to think of a machine that way... maybe with time, she'll decide that target shooting can be fun... Eric
@GlowingBentley Thank you for the nice words. I think I got a little lucky with my shots. That gun hurt my hands a little, 45 kicks a lot, so I didn't shoot much. I felt fine in my boots, balance was ok. I appreciate you watching my video.
Good video and first time shooting a 45, but remember a .45 should be more of a push and not a snap type of recoil which means your grip needs some adjustment. Grip higher up into the tang of the frame. You want the web of your hand smushed up as much as possible underneath that tang to prevent the gun from rising up too much. Your support hand, of course, will cover the remaining exposed part of the grip with both your thumbs facing forward. This will give you your ideal hold for this gun.
@darmog Thank you so much for your suggestion. I am still a little scare (or a lot scare) shooting the auto. I need to learn more, but I will get better.
I have seen a few people bop themselves in the head from the recoil of that caliber. I have always said, no matter the caliber, always respect what you are holding. Never hold a gun loosely. You did a fantastic job!
@dude123489 First shot was shocking. Did not know how hard the recoil and I was a little nervous, actually very nervous. I had better control after, but the recoil was still too much. I prefer revolvers. It's nice to see your comments Mr. Dude. Happy New Year.
WOW, Nothing more sexier than a beautiful lady dressed so sexy shooting one heck of an impressive pistol, the the best part, you are a great shot!!! and WOW, your legs, oh my....
When i saw you in the sensuous yet tastesful red dres, black nylons and black boots...I almost lost it...You are a very lovely lady. You are perfect. Loved the video. Your husband must be a most understanding and happy man...God bless, and happy new Year
@mickeylehuynh I think you were absolutely unforgetable shooting a 45 for the first time, next time wear a red slitted Cheongsam and keep the nylons, spikey pumps in red or black preferred. But your marksmanship also was very impressive...with your husband's permission of course....love...Gianni...Mickey, nothing more feminine than a "real" lady dressed to the nines...you were perfect!!!
@giannivee1 Hmmm, something to think about. Appreciate the suggestion; hope I don't go too far or the men at the shooting range will laugh at the way I dress.
@mickeylehuynh I don't think they will be laughing, maybe trying to get ahold of themselves. You are so nice, and thanks for responding...Happy New Year Pretty lady!!! Love Gianni
A little big for her but she knows what she's doing.

Great video. For a "not a shooting girl" you did just fine. That's a beautiful 1911.
Nice outfit, too. LOVE the boots! Is it hard to balance on the heels? I see ladies at the range with high heels & they look a bit wobbly. :)
Your husband's a lucky guy.
