This is not a fanboi. He's not putting big "R-Type" stickers on in the hope that it makes his car go faster. He didn't mount that giant wing just because he thought it was cool. It's as functional as the amazing powerplant he's got nestled under the hood, and it needs to be that tall to get it well up into the airstream spilling over the car's top. I would venture to say that very few parts on that car aren't absolutely necessary...

its not there for asthetic reasons, like 1/4mile said... its a steel bodied street legal car running 8.0s on treaded tires*** and itd prolly only be a 9 sec car without it or it wood loose traction and meet the wall

yeah, above a certain speed, you really, really need some aerodynamic forces to keep it on the ground and in place. I'm surprised it doesn't have larger side fins to keep it from wavering left and right
