"Hullabaloo Belay" - I'm still wondering if this was an actual shanty or just a shanty-like song invented later.

"Hog-Eye Man" - Fun to here a very English interpretation of this very Southern American song

"Wild Goose Shanty" - a popular one with the 50s/60s revival singers

  • S. Taylor Harris was a British musician who was commissioned by the music publisher Boosey & Hawkes to arrange a few sea songs for publication. I believe the title was "Five Sea Shanties." The score appeared in 1925.

  • @hultonclint Believe it kid it's a real sea shanty.

  • @GeneralHuggs ummm...prove it! The evidence is slim.

  • Excellent! My family thinks I am strange because I love sea shanties, even Mex-Americans love you music!

Music is music wherever you are.
