@dogeymon83 people think that graphics, animation, plot and so on. But I agree more with you: it's good game with cool music, not so bad cutscenes and large levels to explore... Worst thing is that can't be in Genesis port - so if someone would do it game loses everything I like in it.
@Wiiguy07 The guy who played the voice of Wild Woody is good friend of mine. Known him my whole life.
I asked him to do the voice, he can't even do it any more. Told me that after a long time of recording many takes he couldn't talk for a while because he strained his voice so hard...
At least the pencil's got some 90's attitude, but really, Wild Woody?! And he repeats his name even louder as if he actually KNEW his name is double entendre.
My god, did they even rig those models? That's some of the clumsiest 3D animation I've seen professional or otherwise, 1995 or otherwise. They must of been guessing all of that. XD
My personal theory is that Wild Woody was secretly employed by shadowy forces to "erase" the mascot platformer out of existence. Just as well; he was probably one of those super-cheap Roseart pencils that always wanted to be a Crayola brandster, and took out his frustrations on the mascot world by ridding them of their problem. Right in the middle of a console war too; he should be trialed for this war crime!!!
Do you know the name of audio track 5 perhaps. I can't get past the first level so is it the boss theme? this is a great game. Its really too bad that it was released at a time when the Sega CD was trashed and totally ignored by consumers. I find it interesting that this game ended up in bargain bins only to wind up being one of the rarest Sega CD titles available. I'm researching Sega characters so this one highly intrigued me.
@deliciousipod I think I found the website of the guy who animated that pencil, and they SAID they knew the game was going to be crap when it was being done.
"Thanks again Woody, I'll see you next time the world needs saving."
"Yeah, only if we sell a zillion units."
I wonder how many units this game sold...

I love this game. I enjoy the final bosses especially. What's wrong with it?? Besides the control being really bad.

@ResurrectedTemplar - Between the fight of Wild Woody vs Fire Marshall Bill Burns, obviously that Fire Marshall Wins the battle.

@Wiiguy07 Googled his photo. He looks... handicapped, when Woody looks like serial rapist.

@VideoGameFallout - Ok, but why telling me this? But, anyway, the reason why he strained his voice, it's because of this game's voice acting.
Wiiguy07 7 months ago
@Wiiguy07 Yes, the constant yelling did get annoying, I've played the game myself and I still have it in fact. (ditched the sega genesis though)

@VideoGameFallout - I was planning to get it very soon, as the disc was working right.

Such a crap plot
Terrible character and voices
Woody's personality is so overdone to be ... ugh ... "wild"
And who is the person at the start supposed to be about about? we only hear him for a second.
Just watching the intro video made me want to punch something really hard.

@deliciousipod To be fair, CGI was still kinda primitive back then. But, then again, surely there were better looking games, even on Sega CD.
