  • LarissaFMattos (Video 02 - n.1/JSBach Prelude)

  • God stated in the word of God that God would send a Prophet in the End Times that is to say, “Right now”

God kept His word and sent that Prophet, God`s chosen vessel was William Marrion Branham.

God raised the dead on FIVE occasions through this ministry. Check it out for yourself.

  • Beautiful!

  • Her vocal ornaments are effortless and flawless. A haunting rendition ....

  • Pure joy.

  • I love Yo Yo Ma :s

  • If Alison Krauss did the voice for my SatNav I would crash due to wanking..........sorry!

  • @MrJimbodian Yes you are.

  • Such a beautiful Christian Christmas song. Thank you for sharing.

  • Comment removed

  • Allison gives me chills when she sings. This song is fantastic.

  • Brothers and Sisters-i pray that God will help us all- as Christians- to love our enemies.

It is not easy -but God will guide us and strengthen us from temptation if we ask Him.

Let us pray for each other so that God can shine through us with His love.

  • Very touching !

    loved it !

  • Brava !

  • @naybrann... I agree totally!!!!

  • The word for which you were searching is "verbiage," not "verbage." You are trying to hard to be verbose. You can't spell, but i am not surprised: you can't think rationally either.

  • So beautiful, thank you SO much for posting this! HEALING! MORE LOVE!

  • Just what I need to set my thoughts in the right direction as Christmastide nears. Stunningly and hauntingly beautiful.

  • This is an outstanding piece of music that is moving regardless of your beliefs. A lover of music, a lifelong fan of Alison Krauss AND an atheist.

  • @PunkinO1111 AND i will pray for you. It matters not if you believe in God, but if God believes in you.

  • @tommerrigan1956 Pray Away, You must be mighty busy praying for all those non believers out there, must be really tough with all the progressive science and technology slowly vanishing away all the archaic reasons to believe in an omnipotent being for comfort from reality.

  • @PunkinO1111 Remember, the first duty of editorialists is not to misrepresent positions with which they disagree. You seem to have forgotten this, for you make faulty assumptions about my belief. i embrace technology and science as gifts from God. ( i even believe in evolution! i just don't believe in ignorance: not in its existence, but in accepting it as an excuse for acting stupidly.) As for praying for all you nonbelievers, it's no more difficult than loving you. Peace brother.

  • @tommerrigan1956 The advancement of Technology and Science has replaced 'god' providing sensible explanations that insufficient doctrine cannot begin to. Misrepresentation is the work of theists. Remember that more people have died in the name of god than any other cause in the history of mankind.

The best example of ignorance is trembling behind the facade of organized religion. Praying is easy, understanding the science behind life is not.

  • @PunkinO1111 God is the Creator of science and technology. No, the BEST example of ignorance is ridiculing that which you are unable or unwilling to understand. Remember, there is no cure for stupid, but it's your choice to remain ignorant. If you regard praying as "easy," then i suspect your notion of prayer is skewed. Mock not that which you clearly fear.

  • @tommerrigan1956 Men created science and technology, god doesn't exist. Anyone who chooses doctrine over science is ignorant, and it takes a lot of arrogance to not acknowledge that which it explains. The cure for stupidity is cracking open a book other than the bible and finding real answers to basic questions. "As for praying for all you nonbelievers, it's no more difficult than loving you." Here you made the statement it's easy, right? Silly theist. Science frees me from fear.

  • @PunkinO1111 God created Truth, some principles of which are revealed to humankind by science and technology. You created ignorance by choosing to ridicule that which you are unable to comprehend, silly atheist. As for praying, i did not say it was "easy"; i said it was no more difficult than loving you. Both are equally difficult. i suspect many people love you, but few people actually like you. God frees me from fear. In Love there is no fear. God bless you, son.

  • @tommerrigan1956 Men created the idea of God in the of abscence science, as knowledge and discovery grows, so does the need for god dissipate. God does not exist. It's a myth, just as greek mythology is a myth. Your attempts in making this personal fail you. I know love and I know truth, without the benefits of organized religion. I am liberated and free of the fear and shame, the sexism and racism and violence the bible teaches. Praying ileminates our responsibility to our own destiny

  • @PunkinO1111 Clearly i struck a nerve--the truth hurts, don't it??--and equally clear is that you are mentally ill. OCD? Better check out the DSMIV-tr and read up on your behaviors. If you require to post four times in ONE MINUTE, nothing you have to say is worth reading, so i won't. Remember, while there's no cure for stupid, but ignorance is a choice. You remain in my prayers, although at this point i'm not sure that will do you much good. . .

  • Typically we atheists are unliked, but because we shake the foundations of theists faith base, with hard facts. I would certainly rather be disliked in the face of ignorance knowing the truth, than being an ever popular drone of organized religion.

  • @PunkinO1111 Clearly i struck a nerve--the truth hurts, don't it??--and equally clear is that you are mentally ill. OCD? Better check out the DSMIV-tr and read up on your behaviors. • @tommerrigan1956 Aspects of christianity were 'borrowed' from other religions predating christiantity. Things conveniently not mentioned in the bible, for example the existence of dinosaurs and the solar system give pretty good evidence that men weren't getting their cues from 'god'. They had not idea about these things as they were not discovered. Therefore, they are not mentioned in the bible.

  • @PunkinO1111 Clearly i struck a nerve--the truth hurts, don't it??--and equally clear is that you are mentally ill. OCD? Better check out the DSMIV-tr and read up on your behaviors. • @tommerrigan1956 Aweee, Tom. Emotion has saturated your post. Come now Tom, pull it together. You have deconstructed to what you really are. And I can't say I'm surprised. It just takes a bit longer to break some down to the simplest form. Because I'm well prepared to retort to your circular reasoning doesn't make me mentally ill. I'd have to say wild eyed theists like yourself are the ones 'touched' in the head.

  • @PunkinO1111 The most beautiful and most profound experience is the sensation of the mystical. It is the sower of all true science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead. To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their primitive forms - this knowledge is at the center of true religiousness.

  • @tommerrigan1956 Sounds like a lot of rambling from a guy high on his pedestal to me, Tom. Come now. Direct answers to direct questions. You can do it.

  • @PunkinO1111 Listen to yourself: sounds like a lot of pseudo-intellectual nonsense from a feckless and afraid little man. Come now, away with the assumptions which make you feel secure in your pitiful world view. Try using your brain for cogent arguments and not for bigoted stereotyped criticism. You can do it Pumpkin.

  • @tommerrigan1956 You really like that term 'pseudo-intellectual' don't you Tom? Is that something the metaphysical church teaches you? I lump all theists in together because you all believe the same crap. I would suggest you use your brain to explore the possibilities outside the realm of organized religion, buuuut I doubt you have a free thinking brain, Tom. So sad.

  • @PunkinO1111 And you are really offended by my usage in describing you, aren't you Pumpkin? Is that because you recognize the truth in its application to you? i don't lump all bigots together, even if what they share in common is profound ignorance. What you share in common is fear of the Truth. i would suggest your need to make stereotypical assumptions is rooted in this fear, protecting your prejudice. But i doubt you have a brain, much less a "free-thnking" (you forgot the hyphen) brain.

  • @tommerrigan1956 You keep referring to me as male. I'm not offended as much as I am assured you make your own misguided assumptions. I can assure you, genuinely that I am more free of fear than I've ever been being an atheist. I am as convinced of this as you are of your own faith. Hate to poke, but you mispelled thinking. Shall we move on?

  • @PunkinO1111 i think some little Pumpkin is thin skinned and had his little feelings hurt. Pumpkin has no clue what my "faith" is, only what he imagines it is. You keep referring to what you assume my beliefs are. i'm not interested in what you imagine to be true, because it is only imagination. i am puzzled why you have such a desperate need to convince me you are "right." i already know you are wrong. Perhaps that is what you fear most, being found out as a phoney. Move along, Pumpkin.

  • @tommerrigan1956 You're right Tom. I have no idea what your 'faith' is and couldn't give a shit. You're a piss poor example of whatever it is you represent because your debate, argument and points are muddied, pointless and vague. You're a real prize, stud. Congratulations, you are by far the most boring dragged out poster in the history of youtube.

  • @PunkinO1111 Pumpkin, obviously you do give "a shit" or you would not post so many comments to me trying to persuade me of the rightness of your position. All those comments have done is to reinforce my perception that you are not only a bigot, but an ignoramus who has never read the Bible (capital "B"). You know not of what you speak. But then, let's be honest, you don't know much of anything, do you? It is equally apparent you have hurt feelings. Too bad, Pumpkin.

  • @tommerrigan1956 The bible (lower case) might as well have been written by drunken mexicans in a dumpster, because the lessons learned are one of violence, blood thirst, sexism and racism of archaic origins that modern society has no need or use for. Too bad indeed, that there are suckers like you still buying the shit, Tom.

  • @PunkinO1111 i am not familiar with the "bible," and apparently you are unfamiliar with the "Bible" (upper case). Have you ever read it? i thought not. Your posts might as well have been written by a drunken and ignorant fool. Oh, wait: they were! What is truly archaic is your bigotry, Pumpkin. Too bad indeed there are dimwitted boneheads like you who prefer to insult that which they are unable (or unwilling) to comprehend, for you are truly full of "shit." Poor pumpkin.

  • @tommerrigan1956 dude... make like a man and get a job. Go back to your hippie music.

  • @PunkinO1111 By the bye, as long as we are correcting spelling, you misspelled misspelled: pretty funny, actually. Get a dictionary.

  • @tommerrigan1956 ‎'Religion is an insult to human dignity, without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things, but for good people to do evil things it takes religion' -Stephen Wineberg

  • @PunkinO1111 Pumpkin, in your own words, "i don't give a shit" what Stephen Wineberg has to say, nor at this point what you have to say. "God is Love." ~Jesus

i love you and will pray for you, but i don't like you. i don't like any bigots.

  • @tommerrigan1956 'A metaphysicist is someone who goes to the cellar at midnight with the lights out looking for a black cat that doesn't exist.'

  • @PunkinO1111 A theologian is someone who finds it.

  • @PunkinO1111 A theologian is someone who finds it. Glad to see the limits of your own brain and are resorting to quoting others instead of babbling on yourself.

  • @tommerrigan1956 These storybook notions are a great entertaining read, but give it time, Theist. Your belief structure will surely be replaced with yet another, as were the faiths that preceded yours, whatever that may be. Until then we atheists will be learning about the mysteries of life outside what the bible insufficiently attempts to dictate.

  • @PunkinO1111 "God is love. ANYONE who lives in love lives in God, and God lives in him." Take this to heart, dude. Your arrogant pseudo-intellectual sophistry won't save you, but love may.

  • @tommerrigan1956 You obviously don't have anything else to say that is on the level with what I've said. That's okay Tom. You go ahead and do what you do best. Go Pray, As you're obviously not capable to keep up with the rest of us.

  • @PunkinO1111 "on a level" with what you've said? You really are full of yourself. More accurately, i have plenty to say, but apparently nothing within your realm of comprehension. Your superior attitude betrays an inferior mind, content to mock what it is unable--or unwilling--to understand. The reality is that it is you who are incapable of keeping up with humanity. i would suggest you begin by reading Nichomachean Ethics, but that presupposes you are willing to learn, Pumpkin.

  • @tommerrigan1956 Tom, try, I mean really try here, to respond to the contradictions that make the bible the joke that it is. Try, and again I mean really try here Tom, to explain why so much symbolism is shared by the faiths preceding christianity? Can you explain why dinosaurs and the solar system aren't explained in the bible Tom?

  • @PunkinO1111 Pumpkin, please don't ascribe to me what you IMAGINE i believe: ask me. The Bible IS full of contradictions, and i don't take it as literally true. It is best understood as a love story between God and us.

  • Comment removed

  • @PunkinO1111 Not interested in bonehead bigotry, or some ignorant assumptions. Surprise, i have a Bachelor of Science degree, while i suspect the only degree you ever received was the third degree, Pumpkin. i doubt you ever read the Gospels. Of course, i doubt you read much of anything that does not support your whimsical notions of reality.

  • @tommerrigan1956 Couldn't resist stroking your own ego, could you Tom? Trying to bait me to reveal my knowledge of the doctrine? Nice Try. Answer my questions.

  • @tommerrigan1956 Your choice of verbage is strange to me. Whimsical? The bible is practically fairy tale. And your referring to science and reason, evidence as whimsical notions? Who are you kidding?

  • @tommerrigan1956 Can you explain why people like yourself accept greek mythology as myth, but cling to christianity as truth and insist that this one got it right? Or are you just going to continue, Tom, to make vague and indirect responses to the aforementioned discussion? Your preaching doesn't reach me. Your religion is dying. Condolences.

  • @PunkinO1111 There you go again. People like myself? i don't recall stating i accept Greek mythology as a myth. MY religion is dying? You don't have a clue what MY religion is or what i believe. You just assume, based on previous experiences and discussions, what MY beliefs are. Condolences to you for faulty logic. Please, don't assume: ask.

  • @PunkinO1111 Oh, Pumpkin? That quote was from Albert Einstein - The Merging of Spirit and Science. Even you must have heard of him. i'm not sure why my opinion is so important to you, but if you get off your supercillious high horse and expand your consciousness you might lose your fear and realize it IS God who created all Truth, religious, scientific, and otherwise. You've demonstrated through your ignorance you are not my intellectual equal, but i don't hold that against you.

  • @tommerrigan1956 What makes you intellectual? That you say you are? Because Tom, I actually doubt your are as intellectual as you claim to be since you cannot clearly answer the questions I've asked. You just want to dance around it saying if I believe in god then all will be right in world. Because you say it doesn't make it so. Your argument makes absolutely no. sense. at all. whatsoever. Nice Try. Try Again.

  • @PunkinO1111 We have something in common, because i don't believe you are an "intellectual" at all, although it is pretty clear my opinion of you matters a great deal (Why else would you post five times in one minute?). You have provided no reasoned arguments for your point of view, only stereotypical assumptions of what i believe. If you want to have a serious discussion, first stop misrepresenting my beliefs--or shall i assume you are a frightened little man who fears the Truth?

  • @tommerrigan1956 Your opinion, Tom. Your opinion doesn't begin to counter what I know to be true. I know simple truths. That are common sense. That seem to escape minds like yours. I'm not interested in your ideas of what truth is. I've seen what your version of truth yields and I have nooo interest in it whatsoever. Stop baiting. Start answering. Come now, don't have what it takes? Not so knowledgable?

  • @tommerrigan1956 'The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this.' -Albert Einstein

  • i love this!

  • What is amazing is that they did this in one take, the first take. That alone speaks volumes of how much talent was in the room. The best part is you hear it in every note!

  • @darryl360 No one is pushing it on you. If it moves you great, if it doesn't MOVE ON!

I'm not out there slamming Atheists, nor anyone for that matter. Offer us the same consideration.

  • As a hometown fan of Allison, I have to say that this gem blows me away. The vocalizations are extremely tough and she is OUTSTANDING in keeping them under control. The total tone and timber of this production inspirational both musically and spiritually.

  • @duhhh86 - Restraint is a sign of true artistic greatness.

  • That's more than could be asked for; I may even sleep tonight

  • God follows Miss Krauss in her musical career. She doesn't say much about her faith in interviews but the songs she does has a devine touch to them even some of her non christain songs. She seems to have a good relationship with Ron Block who is a devote believer.

  • This is AMAZING!

  • wow best

  • She has the best voice ever and yet it looks like she does it so effortlessly,,,,,,,,,,The most purest voice I think I've ever heard.

  • Christmas in September - Allison Krauss & Yo YO Ma

    This is so awesome!

  • truly beautiful - a classic

  • Simply beautiful !

  • Great stuff, she just belts it out with very little vibrato!

  • There is only one word that descibes her voice. That would be 'Angelica'. I can imagine arriving in heaven, going before God, and having to wait while He enjoys a cerinade from Allison K.. And believe me with her voice I'd enjoy it as well.

  • so loving it!

  • This could possibly be the most beautiful Christmas song recording I've ever heard! Alison is definitely my favorite female singer, and Yo Yo Ma's accompaniment could hardly have been improved on this particular song. Absolutely breath taking!

  • A voice from heaven

  • sweet brilliant song and great artists

  • Wonderful. Amazing. Gosh, her voice is so beautiful! It's so bone-chilling. Can't wait to look her up more. I was just going through some Yo Yo Ma videos and came across this.

  • So far I've never heard Alison Krauss sing something I don't love!

  • "Beautiful" nuff said........

  • Congratulations Alison on winning your record (for a female) 27th Grammy Award !!!!!

Only 5 more to go for the all-time record.

  • He is already married to Jill, for over 30 years. They wed in 1977.

  • dy festych

  • I could understand where you where coming from if this vid where about a Post-Apocalyptic scene of man created doom carriers sucha as cyborgs, nuclear bombs or plague carrying insects but, since it's about Alison Krauss singing about Christmas, I don't get it.

  • Somewhat reminiscent of the fabulous Sandy Denny (of Fairport Convention and Fotheringay fame).
