On the one hand, I hated split screening that fight because I didn't get to watch it. On the other hand, more than 50% of this game is spent watching cinemas, so having just one more in the game wouldn't really have improved things much. You have to grab him from behind. The easiest way to do that is to lower his health bar all the way, and while he's reviving himself, get behind him, then grab him. With the Syringe equiped, instead of using the knife to slit his throat, you'll use the Syringe on him if you press the triange button.
