guys, you should all remember that those immigrants are not legal immigrants who passed all the legal immigration process from abroad and were officially accepted by the State of Italy. the same problem exists in many other places including US (mexicans mostly and others) and Russia ( asians from Middle Asia; caucasians from Azerbajdjan, Georgia, and Armenia; africans). why were not illegals fought effectively in the past and in all those countries? due to falsely understood or interpreted principles of humanity, in my opinion. the only truthful policies would be toughness on illegal immigration. it's a plaque of 21st century.

America has no right to talk about immigration...99.9% of "Americans" are in essence - immigrants (Most mexicans have a significant amount of Amerindian blood, which means they have more right to be in USA than whites,). Italy, Russia, and most other European countries have majority indigenous population, so when they talk about immigration, they are not being hypocritical.

I totally understand Italy's reasoning behind this.

As the US is shaped and the laws we have instilled over 250 years, it renders your assessment of the '99.9% of Americans are immigrants' incorrect... the large basis of our populate are not indigenous, but did come here through legal means or prior to there being a legal system in place to handle immigration.

We have those laws today, and today is the world we live in. It is not hypocritical to expect persons coming to another country in this day and age to abide by the laws for entering.
