  • It deploys when the extension cable thing unplugs...So what if you get home from work and forget about it? lawl

  • I like the concept but just looks like an air bag neck brace to prevent hyper extension in cart wheel accidents. There are other permanent type braces like the Leatt that don't rely on some kind of activation to work. Overall, I like the idea of new ways to protect. I survived a high speed crash thanks to my back brace, but still broke 17 vertebrae..

  • ummm what if i go to stand off my bike and the airbag goes off?

  • @opmotocrosser You cant stand or the ejector seat will activate!

  • it would be better for small wireless receiver getting signal from the bike to activate the cushion but i like the concept

  • i just shit in my pants, that protects my ass

  • I want to believe these things can be perfected. I'm in favor of their eventual success and usefulness.

I just have yet to see evidence of it.

The problem is, all too often, the nature of motorcycle wrecks render the "instant of injury" so brief and instantaneous, so chaotic and turbulent, these sorts of suits are pie in the sky. Either the wreck was so minor, the suit did little good or the wreck was so bad, it made no difference. The bit in the middle I don't think will happen much.

  • opens after the impact, USELESS

  • i cant possibly explain how LAME that is, but hey, id rather look like a fuckin idiot wearing a my little pony shirt on a harley than get road rash, its a good idea

  • Fail 0:15

  • I'd rather fall of a motorcycle unprotected than be strangled. and that thing took 5 minutes to activate.:D

  • haha fail.. it didn't go of untill he was almost still..

  • Just make sure you disconnect the lanyard BEFORE you get off the bike or you're gonna have some explaining to do...

  • Am i the only one who got reminded of halo reach when he showed his badass helmet?

  • :|

  • you could tell that guy was hurting

  • how is it suppose to help you if you slide with the bike. YOu cant even stand up without it blowinup

  • Is it that thing strangles or rescues

  • ... x-cellent bone-saver... LIFE-saver, too!!

  • Don't forget to unhook the cord before getting off at the coffee shop LOL

  • hm..IMO..no good, or not good enough. This is merely a "disconnected" system, if you see how and what causes serious bike injuries (yes I ride, street and track days) things happen in a nano-second. Actually mxracer618 is right, voice activated would work better, prob is if you "oh shit" for no real reason, you ballon ur ass off too soon. Dainese suit wins this battle

  • lmfao to the comments of forgetting its attatched when you park. piece of shit airbag

  • why dont they invent a button you press right before you crash to freeze everything so you can move out the way safely....

  • what a load of crap !!!

  • The airbag position looks useless...

  • neat lol

  • why dont they develop some ejecting system on the bikes.. so that when you crash you get "ejected" by your seat 2-3 meters high (so you dont hit the actually car/bus/truck) and then activated the airjacket system ( and make something for the legs as well).

  • he almost choked to death with that thing , i want an airbag that will save my life when i start flying above my bike on an accident 2 meters high

  • what happens if i just want to get off the bike and accidentally forget about it?

it pulls the chord? and i get very embarrassed...

  • @Olliedfox

At least you know it works :) Better safer than sorry.

  • Lmfao

    VVVVVV

    that made my day

  • So what happens when you pull up, get off and forget your hooked up and pretty much explode in a blob of air?

  • deployed after he stopped wtf?

  • useless...

  • MDR et si toubli le cordon qui est accroché t'a pas l'air con quand tu descend de ta moto

  • make that cover the legs to becouse i broke my leg two times so ive had enoff

  • well it should be a helluva lot better than the dainese, considering its the size of a doughnut...

  • 555+6 กำ

  • Fail.

  • im just waiting for someone to buy this, pull in at a servo and forget he has it plugged in....

  • If you crush, and you want to get up and keep racing, how do you deactivate it?

  • @Argentinotiti pop it with a pin

  • He is in pain, but the boss says he has to get up immediately/

  • Well this is something new...

  • these things are awesome, but here it deploys late

  • fail, not helping much

  • Stand up while wheelying to get better aerodynamics xD that thingy would probably rip you off the bike at 200 Km/h :D

  • Only the person who has gotten a kink in one's neck understands.

  • fail

  • really all motorcycle satfety gear is false security besides a helmet and leather...

  • @eatwesty and boots and some neck protectors, and gloves and armor. If it wasn't for armor, I would probably have broken my knees and elbows already.

  • you obviously haven't been in a bad crash before...

having proper armour helps, leather just protects you from abrasion.

  • FAIL....this only saves your life if you plunge into the freaking ocean......

  • agreed

  • airbag on neck is not helping,,,

    best airbag is =

neck, back, body, arm, leg, mojo

  • how about your 1piece leather is expand like a baloon when you're crash like a hell.

  • can i get one that's activated by my voice when i yell "oh shit!"?

  • Yes and the car in front of you hit the truck and you died cause your airbag jacket went off throwing you out of your bike for no reason.

  • haha, good idea.

  • @mxracer618 hahahaha

  • @mxracer618 bwahahahahahaa

  • @mxracer618 PMSL!!! i want one to with same voice activation lol

  • @mxracer618 when your movin at a very high speed and about to crash , before u can say "shit" you will be on the ground already DUH! For example : "Oh Sh..* flat on the floor *

  • WTF i wouldnt come with the fuckin bike what if the bike went into the RIVER!! think bout that ...bitch

  • Wouldn't a system to protect the legs and arms work better than a inflatable doughnut around your neck?

  • Would you rather smack your head at 250mph and snap your neck or break an arm/leg? This is a fantastic idea. I'm sure this is just the beginning or a full body suit with this technology.

  • Fail.

  • heck out the one from dainese, its much better and will be worth the investment

  • not a good deployment system what if u forget to take that string off and when ur going somewhere this shit just exploseds!!!

  • I dont think that helped him after he was trying to get his helmet off like he was hurt or something but i dont could be wrong

  • why worry about whiplash on a bike ? Its not like a car coming to a dead stop.. Bikers just slide alittle unless they hit a wall and either way there fucked lol

  • You really have no idea, do you?

  • what happens if you stand up on the pegs when your legs start cramping.

  • LOL!! so true.

  • No Rev Limit . com

  • i think it would hav dun more harm than good may hav broke his neck lol

  • it needs a better trigger system!...

imagine someone one wearing these at the lights, someone would have the urge to pull it

  • i do that to my friends bike not a air bag we dont have thoses but ill turn his bike off at a stop light right when it turns green

  • Me and my riding buddy used to do this to each other going down the highway.

  • pretty dirty trick

  • All good for the road... it would never hit off in racing tho.

  • besides shutting off the bike, and deploying an airbag to prevent whiplash and neck injury.......yeah it did jack shit....

  • I can't find this Airbag system for the GMXmotion jacket.

No body sells the T-RAPs in the USA!!!

  • put airbags on the outside of cars and trucks being driven by DS's...its the cage drivers killing us not the road.

  • I wonder how loud it is.

  • without the airbag you are lighter...

  • U call that a crash!.

  • no1 said it was.

  • Comment removed

  • owned...

  • useless

  • Well after seeing both vids ..

I'd rather have the Dainese airbag suit.

  • it protects the sholders aswel and looks better

  • @EroguroTheater me too i saw both rather have the Dainese airbag suit as well

  • it seemed to me that the neck brace activated once the rider had stopped moving. shouldn't ii activate the moment of collision?

  • its supposed to release if you get off the bike, and the wire is pulled, so if you crash and fall off it opens, he on the other hand, got his leg trapped under the motor cycle so he COULDNT activate it by moving away

  • can some1 punch this whatevar kid in the face for beeing suck a fucking retard, buddy go fall off a bike in shorts a t-shirt and a salad bowl and tape it for us and we'll see how you turn out you stupid fuck!!!

  • Now we just need a gizmo that prevents car drivers from not seeing us...

(And for the love of FSM, wear full leathers...!)

  • there is, theyr called eyes... just a shame car drivers dont use them

  • not so stupid when they scrape your remains off the pavement, with a ice scraper.

  • just wear one of those pillows that assholes wear on airplanes to sleep with-same effect and looks just as stupid

  • Yeah, helmets look pretty stupid too, and the helmet bounce that you get from hitting pavement will break your neck so it's better to wear no helmet. Leathers make you look like a racer or HA wannabe, and when it's hot out you might get a heat stroke and crash. So it's safer to wear just nothing.

  • you must be fucking stupid... i have crashed with helmet.... without it i would have no face right now

  • Seems like kopposka did not sense the sarcasm?

  • u must not ride cause u dont know what the fuck ur talking bout!

  • So many negative comments... I bet ya'll wear just shorts, a t-shirt, and sandals for riding. After all, in a crash, motorcycle gear can't protect you at xkph anyways, wear a salad bowl as a helmet while you're at it.

  • You are right. I will never ride with out my gloves on... Last time I went down @ 90 my gloves were compleatly flush. My knukle bones would of been flush too...

  • that was piss poor and apart from saving you from a cricked neck, it looks slow to deply and offers virtually no protection (based on this video)

  • I'd forget to unclip it after each journey, get off the bike.. BANG... wtf?! Looks a bit small, if your gunna have one, have a big enough one to protect you.

  • haha love it but its true most ppl wil 4gt to unclip it

  • to small LOL!

  • totaly didnt work

  • you need to add an ejection seat =)

  • that actually could work....

  • Yeah but what if you have your accident in a tunnel.... ;-P

  • that took fucking ages to deploy

  • the D-air from Dainese is way better

  • yup

  • Yeah i agree tje dainese had a lot more surface area to portect the head.. i mean this one was like a rubber ring that you'd use in a paddlin pool

  • be funny watching people forget at gas stations and standing up and poof xD

  • hahahahhaaahahhaha

  • This T-RAPS seems like a fairly crude system with the lanyard - it didn't deploy until well after the rider was down (in fact, it looked like he had to push himself away from the bike while sliding for a while). Riders who are interested in airbag tech for the street should also check the 'hit-air' system (which is used in TRAPS = Taichi Racing Air-bag Protection System). Personally, I think the most intelligent approach is Dainese's D.air system, which is *still* being refined.

  • okay so maybe a lowside isn't the best way of demonstrating it, but in a highside it would have deployed before he reached the ground, which is the point.

In this instance his head didn't even touch the ground, so the whole demo to me seems pointless.

now saying all that i dont like the idea of anything connecting me to the bike, no matter how weak the cord is.

  • really? Why is that Einstein? Idiot!

  • yeah...and you can suck my dick. can all the bikers out there give me an amen?

  • AMEN turbo A-fuckin-MEN

  • Sweet bro... sweet... Keep the amens comin...

  • lame

  • great idea, cant wait for when the average street rider can afford it.

  • say you jump off your bike an forget that you are still hucked up to it BANG lol need a new 1! can you reset this im thinking not? bet it aint cheap.

  • This is old but I like it

  • Wow this thing is so useless. Motorcycle racers already have the hump on their back to keep them from skidding on their head.

  • Ummm... That hump is for aerodynamics. Or were you kidding?

  • No, I think he's just stupid.

  • You're all dickheads! that hump is a spine protecter...aerodynamics hah!

  • nah dude your wrong its for aerodynamics n cooling and in motogp there are sensors stored there, the spine protector is underneath. your the dickhead.

  • Why must it necessarily be one or the other? Have you ever contemplated the possibility that it serves both functions?

  • ??? ok, being cocky when your wrong only makes you look stupid.

  • yeah bhaugen just explained it pretty well

  • looked like it deployed much longer than the Dainese one, cause there's the problem, the disconnect sensor is located on the riders back

  • blitzen - From whence has their portention occured?

  • You wouldnt happen to be a traveling man would you?

  • Trallagh upon high. Why do you ask that?

  • freemason is what i meant

  • Again, what is the abnegation contained within your question?

  • Ill wait for the Dainese one. Watch the 2 videos back to back. This one is smaller and is activated by a lanyard. The Dainese seems to be impact or proximity operated and is much bigger, thus providing some protection to the collar bones and shoulders.

  • By riding on the road at all you're giving up certain safeties, motorcycles doubly so. You won't get a full body airbag ever, and they already have a normal leather vest that you can pop CO2 cartridges into with similar clip-to-the-bike technology.

Broken leg or Broken neck. NOT a hard choice for me.

  • there's tecnology out there, why not a full body airbag???

    i have a few ideias,but who's cares what i think???

anyway, not broken bones would be better :)

drive safe, avoid any women driver(just jooking ladies)

  • Baby steps. It'll be a while before a full body airbag jumpsuit.

  • crash86ed---->neck???what about the rest of the body???

wallboy28---->i agree with you, just want to know how much they spend to come with this, because the Dainese airbag aint good either, and u also right about the un-clip,before i had key ring extension, for a few times almost drag the bike with me

    :)

  • Looks like you have to have a full race suit with the back protector to be able to wear the air bag which is stupid as alot of bikers only wear normal leathers.

You also have to remember to un-clip yourself before you get off your bike or PSSSSSSST!!! lol

I dont think this model will catch on.

  • what u see there is 99% racing suit with nee, elbow pads and back protection 1% airbag

what we(bikers)need is 99% airbag suit with the same protections

my granny can do better then that...

    please come with better ideias

  • Pay attention. At the very least it can stabilize the head to prevent neck injuries.

  • that's for racing or normal roads???for race,looks pointless..for road,no comments

i had a few crashs(big ones)lucky never had injurys, crash to a car u will need bigger airbags to protect from impact,in slips crash like this video, pointless

thats my point view...i wouldn't buy it

  • normally the air bag is much bigger than that

  • Why was he in such a hurry to get his helmet off? Was it chocking him?

  • I meant Choking...

  • thats what it looked like to me

  • If you watch slowly and closely, you see when the air bag was activated he immediately stop sliding on the tarmac.

What it did was slow down the the slide.

  • WEAK

  • that looked like it didnt help anything.
