My only concern about ZippCast is are there any copyright issues? Like if I upload a video with a song that is owned by a major company like WMG will my video get taken down or get the audio disabled? I make Lyrics Videos for songs so if they have no problem with me using songs owned by those companies then I will switch.

Either the Zippcast servers aren't fast enough to handle all the traffic coming their way, google is screwing around with their bandwidth, or Youtube/google is DDOS'ing them. They are loading uber slow.

@teenofmyspace - Don't know if ZC works for google but in the "Your Choices" section of their privacy policy, ZC does state some advanced ZC features may use other Google services like AdSense & privacy notices of those services govern the use of your personal information associated with them. Also read "Advertising on ZippCast." And when I wrote to Zippcast with a problem, they got back to me the same day.
@PsychoBurgundy007 - I thought DM was good too and video playback is better there than Vimeo and Gozie . com. So I uploaded 6 videos on DM. It wasn't bad that they placed an ad at the beginning of my video but they stopped my video and placed another ad right in the middle of playing. So I deleted my account. Btw, Gozie has 320 minutes video length.
yeah people aren't very patient or understanding, and they need to be if they want something better than the crap googletube are dishing up. The inbox is next to go also, so they're not leaving much for channel owners, where as zipper are a bunch of hard working kids who are very grateful for all the support. It's going on 3 weeks & we still can't upload new videos, we're not receiving ZC mail & it's painfully slow going from channel to channel. We're told uploading is under maintenance so Idk. @jonno52 Ah, just realised why I didn't get anywhere looking at Zippcast. The server was down, as it is at the moment. Looks like they don't have the capacity to deal with a major influx of YT refugees. But if they can get the capacity, speed things up etc, it sounds a good deal. So here`s the deal: zippcast uses google`s Doubleclick Ad according to their privacy policy. They go further to say your ad preference on zippcast wil be the same on all google sites that you use. To see for yourself scroll to the end of their privacy policy until u see `advertisement` and read carefully. I checked dailymotion and...stickam....they dont even advertise with google :)
Somebody in the comment box of 1 of these `leave youtube` videos. They may have been mistaken so check zippcast privacy policy or ` sign in` and see of it says `or google` on the sign in page.

It's called Start Page and is an excellent PRIVATE search engine. You can also search privately. Go check it out. Everyone's been using it instead of Google. When you get there click on settings on the main page. Choose your settings and read the great info on the menu at the left.

I've tried opening ZippCast accounts, but never get the confirmation e-mails. No, they're not in the spam filter, either. The support function is down as well, so no help there. Too bad, in a short matter of time we will surtenly need a sollid youtube alternative!

@teenofmyspace - Don't know if ZC works for google but in the "Your Choices" section of their privacy policy, ZC does state some advanced ZC features may use other Google services like AdSense & privacy notices of those services govern the use of your personal information associated with them. Also read "Advertising on ZippCast." And when I wrote to Zippcast with a problem, they got back to me the same day.

@PsychoBurgundy007 - I thought DM was good too and video playback is better there than Vimeo and Gozie . com. So I uploaded 6 videos on DM. It wasn't bad that they placed an ad at the beginning of my video but they stopped my video and placed another ad right in the middle of playing. So I deleted my account. Btw, Gozie has 320 minutes video length.

yeah people aren't very patient or understanding, and they need to be if they want something better than the crap googletube are dishing up. The inbox is next to go also, so they're not leaving much for channel owners, where as zipper are a bunch of hard working kids who are very grateful for all the support. You can't expect miracles from a new site, and they've taken on a lot of new members. It was so dead when I signed up and the crew friended me and made me very welcome. It's the best.

@simbirdcom - I was loving Zippcast but now I'm becoming more annoyed. It's going on 3 weeks & we still can't upload new videos, we're not receiving ZC mail & it's painfully slow going from channel to channel. We're told uploading is under maintenance so Idk. Right now I'm not interested in Prepper/Goats news nor did I find the his broadcast interesting and he talks way too slow. Just get ZC up & running, keep us informed of progress & I'll be happy to donate for gosh sakes.

And that broadcast ... he didn't talk about anything of importance like ZC updates, speed, uploading, faster channel surfing, receiving ZC mail notification, none of that, there's like 10 enormous problems on ZC which directly affect my irritability levels. And the announcer Goat... talks too slow like his words are frozen arctic molasses. Speed up the modulation... don't make me wait 10 mins. for the next sentence.

@jonno52 Ah, just realised why I didn't get anywhere looking at Zippcast. The server was down, as it is at the moment. Looks like they don't have the capacity to deal with a major influx of YT refugees. But if they can get the capacity, speed things up etc, it sounds a good deal. We just have to be patient & keep checking back.

I opened an account there a week ago. They still have comparatively little content and have been consistently slow. This may change if they upgrade their servers and some of the better known vloggers post content there. But it's a race against time. In the end, people will use the service that has the content they want to see. And eventually people will get used to the new format just like they did the last time YT changed about 2 years ago. Seems I remember a lot of complaining then too.

So here`s the deal: zippcast uses google`s Doubleclick Ad according to their privacy policy. They go further to say your ad preference on zippcast wil be the same on all google sites that you use. To see for yourself scroll to the end of their privacy policy until u see `advertisement` and read carefully. I checked dailymotion and...stickam....they dont even advertise with google :)

...and if it continues to grow and seriously rivals Yt, they could be hit with a huge lawsuit since they've copied Yt's layout almost exactly. Changes will be required to it's layout. Further...IF it becomes large enough, there's every possiblilty that Google will buy it. Don't hate on me...just pointing out a few of the most obvious problems with Zippcast. As a potential financial investor, I'll be watching the site over the coming months :-)

It's called Start Page and is an excellent PRIVATE search engine. You can also search privately. Go check it out. Everyone's been using it instead of Google. When you get there click on settings on the main page. Choose your settings and read the great info on the menu at the left.
