roky has been killin' it ever since '66 with the 13th floor elevators. i'm very glad he's been able to fight thru his mental health demons and keep his music alive for the rest of us. thanks for posting this great tune.
What a writer! He never lets the intro. linger too long nor does he let the middle jams go too long. Brilliant words, form and mix. What a voice! We love you Roky. where the Hell is Pittsburg?

I credit Bongwater for turning me on to this and their version is sublime, however Rokys' singing brings tears to my thirsty eyes. Is beauty worth the pain seems is required? Age old question whose answer would be gold...if only. The eternal hope for unrequieted love rings throughout the ages and the simplicity of these lyrics counterpointed by Ericksons' obviously heartfelt vocal sentiments...'only breaks my heart' ...

I seen just seen he was playing the guitar again and singing like he got past the stage fright stage, kick ass. found him many years ago we share the last same name, since then I have found out allot and fallen in love with the music. amazing no one knows about him or his bands, genius.
Gob bless you Roky! Greece loves you! Many thanks for coming here this year and play live for the first time in Athens. You are the best, a true phenomenal artist, a true living legend!!!! Look forward to see you!
first time i hear about him and his this song,i was searching the music that Johnny Deep likes, and this guy sounds so good,i will listen his music all my life
@AlabamaCelt A lot of people don't search for music, they only listen to what they're forced to be exposed to. Sadly, they miss out on beautiful stuff like this.
@AlabamaCelt Becuase main stream isn't about the music, it really isn't. It's all a product. Roky's music is from the heart and mind. It's not about making cash or looking cool. He's just letting his emotions out. And it's beautiful.
Saw him at the Continental Club, I guess it was late 80's early 90's. The place was packed and many people knew all the words to "Night of the Vampire".
If it gets much better than this, I can't imagine what it is. When it's REAL and GENUINE, it's undeniable. Nothing could be better news than Roky's recent renaissance. Cheers, Roger Kynard Erickson.
Hey if Roky his self or anyone that knows Roky should happen to read this, I'd like for him to check out a YouTube video of a guy that he should remember. As I understand he is a lost friend of yours Roky. Check it out if you want to get in contact with him I can now help with that, Message me on here (YouTube) about him. Great song by one of the great of the 1960's who life was derailed by drugs and sadly involuntary confinement to a mental hospital for the criminally insane where he was subjected to inhumane treatment. Beyond the tradgedy of his life Roky still sounds great.
