You cant jugde from this. You have to take in mind that Safari is able to load Java script with twice the speed compared to FF and IE. Also Safari is displaying all the pages with smoothed fonts, and has a generally more smoothened interface.

@NORC4L, what you are talking about is the cache for the browser, which you can simply turn off, or, set to 0 in the preferences tab. I think maybe you should have done a little looking around before you went slagging off firefox. Like I said, all it takes is for you to enter the number 0 into the cache part of the preferences, and this will turn the cache off, thus, not using the cache and not taking up space on the HDD.
I think you need to remember that Safari is still in Beta. On my Vista machine, most of the time it loads faster, but...
Firefox and Safari render pages differently. It completely depends on your machine and OS i think.
But i certainly prefer Safari's look and feel, i think i'll stick with it, and i can't wait 'til all bugs are fixed and it's the real version and not Beta.
Safari is a lot faster than FF on my Vista machine. But Safari crashes so much! That combined with the lack of extensions/themes and it's just not worth a second or two of speed to switch.
i love safari's layout, but i have become really accustomed to some of Firefox's shortcuts (ie, ctrl+tab to switch tabs, and middle click to open in a new tab) so i just have firefox with the Safari theme. so i get safari's looks and Fox's shortcuts :D
Safari's UI is nice, but it belongs on a mac. They may aswell have not even made this browser for Windows. There are already plenty of browsers that can do a better job of rendering the web without sucking out so much memory. If they wanted to move in on the windows market they should leave the UI behind. They use up too much ram trying to make it look like OSX when all it really does is create an ackward hybrid of Mac and Windows interfaces.
safari is fast, but it uses more system memory than any other browser. its because of all the user interface integrated into just one program. on a mac, the whole operating system is that way, so safari would take less memory. i still would prefer to use safari.
Yeah, safari does use more memory - but only while it's working. It has better memory management than any other browser I've tried, and can sit quietly in the background and not disturb anything - even in windows. That really impresses me, especially compared to firefox.
In my PC Safari is much much faster than Firefox, but it has a lot of bugs (it's still on Beta) for example as you post a Comment it only post the first two or three words... But when the Definitive Version comes out I'll definitely make the change...
well on my comp, safari is hella lot faster than firefox, it loaded youtube in seriusly a half of a quarter of a second flat..on its first try!!! no lie i swear, so yeah say around 1 second to load outube on safari and about 2-3 toload youtube on firefox,plus i love apples layout,it looks really professional.

You may need to clean out your internet cache.
Remember when you downloaded Safari you had a choice of importing data from the other browsers and so it also got the cookies and other crap.
Just clean the cache and it should be better.

Safari is faster than FF on my machine. FF tweaked on my machine is still slower than IE, Opera and Safari.
FF is slow, takes up a ton of memory, and you need a ton of extensions to get basic functionality. Opera all the way :D
