man, I remember this music vividly. After hours of replaying from scratch because you couldn't save the game, I got to this level with no lives. And I lost my mind when the boomerang guys appeared. And I lost hope when the Freddy Kreugers showed up. To this day, I think this game set the bar for a final level. Really ran you through the gauntlet--and I loved every second of it.

Will our heros make across the hallway of enemies, or will they fall to the reinforcements in an attempt to stop Mr. X?

Yeah no cop cars in this level, because it seems weird to have one just somehow get to a high building and drive through a hallway, oh wait, then how did it get onto a boat on the boat level, and somehow shoot an incendiary grenade from the bottom of a building up onto a moving elevator platform? I wanted cop cars in that level :(

When playing the game while hearing this music in Stage 8, I think: "Whoof, finally I've reached the enemy's hideout!". It's kind of a reward for you for efforting on beating the criminals in the town and reaching the crime HQ!

The way the bass kicks up and those congo drums play at 1:18 until the loop was my favorite part of the music on the game. I remember I used to try to time it so that when this part of the music was coming up I'd fight a boss and it would sound all epic lol.
