Holy shit man, I never knew you lost mind connection to your legs for 6 months. That's fucking insane! . Keep training hard and stay safe. Good to see you putting content up more frequently again.
@teamsir1 yeah. There is no reason to do anymore. I didn't quite guess the weight I should have started with on this exercise. Next week will be heavier. if you use the correct weight, you only need to do one pyramid for your Quads. I hit my Hamstrings on a later day when i do Stiff leg dead lifts. if I did them both the same day, I wouldn't be able to go as intensely.
@thiscannotbestopped yeah they just google shit and post it. I can hit my quads better doing them in a smith machine. If I was to do these free weighted, I would have to stop a few reps shy of failure because i don't have a squat cage. i did a 315 free weighted squat not long ago. i ended up messing my back up and falling backwards with 175 on the bar. It's a vid on my channel. Almost smashed my computer.
@fortissimo91 Doian yates (6 time Mr Olympian) preferred these over regular barbell squats. The reason is because you can actually train to failure. Nothing wrong with Smith Squats and people need to stop thinking there is. You can hurt yourself easier to free weighted squats.
@HomeGymFitness I see. I have a power cage at my gym which is great with safety rails. Haven't actually failed yet but it's a good think to know i can drop it right down on em.
@Drengen10 I can push harder when i am in the machine. No fear of legs failing and the weights dropping. i guess I need to put in the video that I have a leg condition where they fail with out warning too. nerve damage from being sick and my brain losing communication with my legs for about six months.

The Smith is absolutely NOT dangerous to use. What could be safer, actually?
ugotitpunk 1 month ago
@ugotitpunk Not sure what could be safer. maybe plyometrics.
HomeGymFitness 1 month ago
@HomeGymFitness Definitely safer than trying to get the spring out of the little soft soap bottles.

Great video. Love the PJ pants! Most people who bitch about smith machines, can't squat themselves. Thumbs up man!

@HomeGymFitness You can't train to failure on regular barbell squats?
Drengen10 1 month ago
@Drengen10 no because I don't have a spotter or a squat cage. If I train to failure, I would fall down.

@HomeGymFitness how come you bought a smith machine instead of a squat cage?
tobiwronkaqaswedfvcx 1 month ago
@tobiwronkaqaswedfvcx Because I got an awesome deal on this on and you can do more with this machine than you can a squat cage.
HomeGymFitness 1 month ago
@HomeGymFitness fair point if your more in to bodybuilding than powerlifting. guess you cant do calf raises in a squat cage for example
