  • This accordion player was amazed by the left hand technic - great job!

  • wow. That bee needs to up his anti-psychotics.

  • I think I WANT TO DO THIS VERSION!!! :D but it's impossible-ish?

  • @artyzach

Way easier than Cziffra's version though.

  • Why doesn’t he just compose his own set of transcendental etudes?

  • gosh it sounds different from the flute

  • Wow, with that speed, we can rule the world! Come with me and we shall conquer the universe and vanquish my archenemy Dr. Who!

    Eliminate! Eliminate!

  • now this sounds like a bumblebee! :D

  • umm yeahh he recorded this measure at a time... and probably spend 5 hours on each measure. Recording < Live

  • it's FRIGHT of the Bumblebee

  • wow what's wrong with these bumblebees?

  • flight of the scales

  • *flight of the hornets

  • i counted 2 rests

  • sounds like shit

  • this is not the orignal and many notes are incorrect

  • the tempo seems a little slow for that kind of piece...

  • The intro sounds like the opening to a Pokemon boss battle...

  • Challenge accepted

  • SHIT

  • can anybody upload this in synthesia?

  • lot of scales up and down o_0

  • Okay, who let the bumblebees in the race car XD

  • Was Hamelin Chinese???? :I

  • @PureSoulEaterCY lol no

  • @tomekkobialka :P I know xDv hhaha just kiddin

  • @PureSoulEaterCY :D It's almost hard to believe that Hamelin isn't Chinese! ;) Go Canada!

  • @PureSoulEaterCY mope, He IS french-canadian, and he is still alive, he's only just turned 50 in september. :)

  • @Darknessenceify wow. impressive :3

  • @PureSoulEaterCY yeah, Isn't it. :)

  • holy crap O:

  • Bam.. Bam... Bam... BamBamBam...... haha ;D

  • You hear this being whistled on building sites. The tuneless tune.

  • This isn't in his published set of Etudes. Where did you find it?

  • You certainly don't have a hand free if the damn thing stings you...

  • Yeahh i can perform this piece :D... the only problem is that it does not sounds the same... or similar... or like anything ive heard before... u.u

  • If you can play this, you can pretty much play anything...

  • This sounds much more menacing, hence it should be renamed as "Flight of the Hornet."

  • Comment removed

  • omg he misses so many notes O.o

  • Sure, it's incredible and amazing and everything, but it really doesn't sound all that nice....

  • @Ragtime44Films Perhaps a re-title to "Le Bourdon Grotesque" is in order.

  • too much dynamic mistakes

  • @2hyeok that's "too MANY dynamic mistakes" :P

  • Hamelin's transcription of "Flight of the Bumblebee" used to be the Etude No. 1 in the set of "12 Etudes in all the Minor Keys" but was replaced by the Chopin Triple Etude. Composed in 1987, set in A minor, has 179 measures, and a performance duration of 2 minutes, it is difficult since both hands play different melodies at the same speed, but still playing and hearing the melody in which the "Flight of the Bumblebee" is noted for.

  • I LOL HARD AT THE "BAM BAM BAM BAM" PART

and i forget to turn my caps lock off

  • I love Hamelin but I hate dissonance :(

  • what a crazy interpretation...i LOVE IT!

  • Why isn't performer is Hamelin?

  • Who's playing this?

  • I love this!

  • This bumblebee is not flying along.....

  • its sounds funny... is it true that flute notes are the same as piano notes???

  • @LoveJB030194 all notes are the same

  • @Gargantupimp OH,okay thanx I'm a beginner at the flute and my teacher sed she was going to move me to advanced, I practice A LOT!!!!

  • @LoveJB030194 to answer you, they are written in the same key, along with other mallet percussion, baritone, and trombone i believe.

  • @MegaDProductions yeah and all string instruments apparently.

  • @systemlink93 Technically it goes to Cziffra... I find it similar to the ending of Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No2 o_o"

  • @ChopinLiszt82 Well that is what u probably will think before u actually try them. Hamelin's etude have ridiculously hard fingerings and completely random sounding stuff. Cziffra's piece is "only" octaves and kinda easy to understand. Both are damn hard pieces, but even in technical terms hamelin's version is just terrific.

  • so then the question becomes, which one's harder? This, or Cziffra's arrangement?

  • This pianist as absolutely crazy for playing this piece at a piano competition: how admirable that is, and that's why he's good!

  • hahaha i love the 'bam' 'bam bam bam' annotations!

  • Captain Jack Sparrow! hahaha~

  • It is interesting to see the sheet music for this, I've never seen it before.

  • if only hamelin recorded this.......

  • @patricioapaez It's not etude for piano :)

  • I Think in 1:25 he misses 3 notes - that's about 0,003 % of the whole piece.....

  • @EtrofOnaip which part of 1:25?

  • @xAnonymousss best comment this year !! love it !!

  • @EtrofOnaip Bar 121 & 122 - The high notes -- which are part of the counter?melody --with (i think) his fifth finger on the right (or an other bodypart ?)

  • This is absolutely crazy!

  • I've been waiting for this!!!!
