good. but have you even tried to race with a kart with a gearbox? It's really a completely different performance. Trust me. Good video anyway... I'm sorry for the mistake, you deserved at least second place!
look at all the people dissliking this video just because they havent been karting jealous pricks, btw ive been karting and its ace dont knock it untill youve tried it.
@andrewjones1977 I know right? Look at the pace! pulling 1.5 to 3 g in the corners (depending what you drive) is nothing to snuff at. I've seen some data from a few guys with ultra soft tires and chassis that get close to 4 g!
You're not patient enough when you get up close to the guy ahead.... lost a bit of time on your failed first overtake attempt, no way you could of passed there. You're uneccessarily riding on the curbs too much in the chicanes. When you did lead, you seem to make alot of mistakes.... and consequently was over-taken more then a few times back. Work on running your race while leading in the front. Other then that was a pretty entertaining race. Have fun and stay safe.
lol i race here i race the actual pro kart series this is just the jim russel.... so ya its nt really prokart its jim russel series. i race the prokart hpv2 and tag jr
@birel727 Reading the description can help sometimes. I said it was Jim Russell, during the ProKart weekend.
I wouldn't say "just the Jim Russell series", either. We get thousands and thousands of dollars awarded to us to race the FJR-50's. I don't recall a prize like that in ProKart.
Nice ass battle with the #4 Kart! Good overtaking my friend. But bad luck on that late braking maneuver when you just took it over the limit. 5 out of 5.
@nuncahomo Thanks. The guy in #4 ended up winning the championship (I came 3rd) and went on to drive Jim Russell's Formula 3 cars.
Being from the bay area, you should check it out! It's pretty affordable and the championship winner gets a week of free time in the Lola Formula 3 (you get a 3-day school and then also entry into the 4-day Future Driver Search, which is worth about 12 thousand USD. The top driver gets a 100k sponsorship package for the F3s)
That's exactly what I'm trying to get into this year. I started karting last summer at LeMans Karting in Fremont and then I found Infineon's program. So now I'm signed up for this year.
@nuncahomo Great! You'll learn a ton, the instructors are fantastic and the competition is friendly. I might not be there this year, as I'm looking to move up into cars, but I might do a couple rounds.
Lots of options out there. Formula Mazda, Skip Barber F2000, Formula Ford, Spec Racer Ford... probably don't have the budget for a full season this year (20k +), or maybe even half a season. But I'll do something in cars, a couple of schools at the very least.
Nice! no seriously! I love that track, its nice a local, if u live hear! i am not sure why i keep ending my sentences in !!!!! an pshhh its the driving that matters... kinda. Great job, keep up the good work.
Great race Greg!! You fought as hard as a driver possibly could in this. Definitely overcooked that pass at the end but no doubt the best race of the year, good job for stepping up the aggression with passing and kart control! See you soon.
Why is the steering wheel mounted upside down?

I feel like the reason people dislike this video is simply because of the sound...

Like I said before... it's no Ferrari. If you really want to hear it, try looking on Vimeo.

(However I would prefer the original sound)
