@rachg01 Many of the Anime that makes it into America has to be so called Americanized. This is done in almost every anime movie and tv show. This is because most producers and programers in America feel that 1. Most children (and remember to Americans all cartoons are for children) wouldn't understand or appreciate Japanese touches and 2.Some concepts are considered to risque for American audiences. A perfect example was a pokemon beach episode that had James in a bikini never aired in USA.

In the Japanese version one voice actor was used from one form to another while in America each step in evolution had a different voice. Another one was the character of Angewomon who in japan had no top to speak of while in America the golden bra thing was added for obvious reasons. Hope that explains a little bit.

They edited out a BUNCH of scenes that they didn't feel were apropriate, and some of the plot and the characters became different because of that. And they added thiings to digimon too. I love both, but I like the Japenese dub better, I have to admit.

The reason I get so mad is because people who claim to know so much about the Japanese version have obviously never watched the Japanes version because Hurricane Touchdown! and Supreme Evolution! The Golden Digimentals take place in AMERICA in the Japanese version. There are also at least two other English dubs that most are unaware of. One that's dubbed in India and another in Singapore.
