the writers wanted to cole and phoebe together but due to the draft Julian McMahon had to leave the series ... although the end of cole and phoebe was already made! and had to improvise to coop phoebe not to leave without a partner!

the good thing about all this, that to the writers was the perfect end cole and hinted that his life would phoebe coop because it was impossible not to cole because he wanted ... coop sorry!
