  • Nikola Tesla thought we would harness this power t control the world. Nope, we play the imperial march.

  • Nope, Nikola Tesla.

  • Can they make electronical banjos?

Or train supervised electronical eels to play Hannah montana

  • electro amazing, that was awesome!!

  • tesla:SEIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LETS MAKE SOME NOISE FOR THE TESLA COIL!

  • >:D JEDIS ARE NOW JUST HIDING AS TESELA COILS.

  • I bet 20 bucks that you're Asian.

  • Tesla was on the Dark side! xD

I love this one, soooooo much!

  • So be it... If shall not join us... then you shall be DESTROYED!!!! (Yoink out tesla coil and lightning bolt Luke)

  • The Emperor would be proud

  • Where is this at?Chattanooga? And is there any doctor who stuff?

  • This is what Chuck Norris uses for an alarm Clock.

  • Cool vid ! More Tesla in vids by HorizonDelta ;-)

  • that is the nerdiest thing i have ever seen!! i love it. amazing job!!

  • This isn't a tesla coil in the emperors handy-work!

  • how do ya'll change the pitch and tone? Higher and lower frequency?

  • That is so badass!!!

  • how did you get drums in

  • This power.....ITS OVER 9000!

  • And this was just to show the fire marshal that they weren't going to be burning the building down with the Coils...The rest of the show later that night was incredible...

  • im looking into building one of these help me please make a small one?

  • @blackhole997 they're not simple and require a good knowledge of power electronics if you're using solid state components.

  • :o still cool, but seen better quality.

  • Omg. Boner accomplished.

  • i have tears of sheer awesomness your win level exceeds 9000!

  • This is awesome,,

  • That is the imperial march not the theme. But it is still cool.

  • i wonder if the transformer over heats... all if this is possible with a jacobs ladder too

  • i seen this at Powersurge 3... it was insane

  • they're called tesla coils if you wear aluminum you won't get shocked and yes this is real

  • Takes more than just Aluminum. You have to have a special Faraday suit and helmet, but yeah, you can pull it off.

  • @darkyoda they just did on america's got talent =P

  • its like palpatine shooting lightning.

  • the force is strong with there people...

  • that couldnt be real!!! right?

  • It most certainly is real!! Very, Very cool stuff. If you get a chance, catch it live - amazing jumping electrical arcs of midi controlled wonder. Often imitated, never as cool as ArcAttack...check out their website and other videos: Dr. who and Tetris being personal favorites (besides being in the Back to the Future Faraday cage!!)

  • really really cool but what are the other uses of this tesla coil? could someone invite me to see this stuff live??? please i really wanna know more of this im a huge fan of tesla

  • This is mainly for entertainment purposes - towards thought provoking enjoyment and wonder of science. Tesla coils generate electricity and for that alone have many possible uses. It says you're in Mexico, closer to the U.S. side? They are stationed in Texas and play mostly year round gigs there. However, you're welcome to come with us the next big convention we go to!

  • great!!! ill go!! and yes I know electricitty have many uses! but thats so cool!! i really will go next year! thanx 4 the add

  • No problem! Dragoncon is the Big Convention and is held in Atlanta Georgia labor day weekend (first of Sept.) - hope to see you there!

  • @darkdream11 Well, the electrical arcs are real, but they dont make the "musik"! ;-)

  • @charkik it is real look at them at americas got talent

  • @charkik yes it is ture at very high frequency the sparks can make sound waves as thay traval thorw the air

  • @djfreebey thats really awesome! actually im a tesla fan, but i didnt imagine that tesla tower could make music

  • @charkik It´s 100% real I have a Solid State Teslacoil too and I now that the sparks works like a speaker, because I have build me a Tesla keyboard :)

  • So cool! I love it this kinda thing. Y'know using Tesla coils and scanners to play music. It's so amazing!

  • And proud of it. Why don't you go watch some more self help videos

  • dude macmittens, stop being such a dick!

if there were no smart poeple, we wouldn't be in this technologically advanced age! so suck it, and quit being such a doushe!

  • If this theme was TOTALLY awesome, can you immagine what "Thunderstruck" would sound like?

  • what better way to perform the Imperial March than with a couple of friggin Tesla Coils? Emperor Palpatine would be proud.

  • unlimiteeed poweeeerrrr!!! XD

  • @dynafuzz Are you threatening me, master jedi? XD

  • I thing i like this version of the song almost as much as the original, and yes it sounds so much more EVIL. MUhahha

  • Thaths so cool

  • This makes the theme look so much more evil!

    Zero

  • I LOVE ELECTRO!!!!!;D

  • The Imperial march has never been THIS badass! props!!!

  • that is fucking badass!

  • wow. that was awesome!

  • dude cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool lolololololololololololol

  • METAL YEAH XDXD

  • Seems to be more electric than metal. ;)

  • XD!!!!!!

  • FUCK YEAH \00/

  • Amazing!

  • how does it works? how does it produces different sounds?

  • Different intensities of bolts produce different sounds. They have a system setup that has tones matched with the right intensity.

  • actually its the frequency. The frequency of the discharges is the frequency of the pressure waves. To make a 440hz note they turn the tesla coil on and off 440 times a second basically

  • actually the4 Tesla coil will have a resonant frequency, it is much higher than our hearing range, so what they do is they turn on it resonant frequency at the frequency of the pitch that they want.

  • No, the resonant frequency is always the same. They superpose the resonant frequency with the frequency of the sound. So the both frequencys interfere with each other and so there is a spark and a hearable sound.

  • man that was excellent

  • wowza

  • lol you can hear the nerdgasms on the background

  • @vikarius rofl

  • Darth Vader should've had a tesla saber suddenly

  • That kicked ASS!!!!

  • love it

  • Amazing!

  • tesla coil music is cool and all but its always super loud, never sounds good in person, and is just really low audio quality for a recording

  • It sounds way better in person than it does in a recording. The experience between watching a video and seeing it in person isn't even comparable. Especially in the random cell phone videos that pop up on the internet. It is loud, but not compared to a 1000 watt PA system. It's all about the mix.

  • I'll admit most attempts at this idea are executed poorly. Scrambled static with little pitch fluctuation or control. But it does always sound better live. ArcAttack's setup employs many 'first of their kind' implementations coupled with a fantastically dedicated crew. I promise their setup sounds WAAAAY better in person-dare I say melodically well executed. Besides, the shows fantastically enjoyable-mad conductor of plasmic elementals conjured to do thy bidding---Dr. Who & Zelda ;} mua ha ha..

  • Well, I didn't see this one live (although I thought it was cool, and I don't want to sound like I'm bashing on it), so I'll go with what you say. I'm glad you and I agree that most tesla music kind of grates on the ears, even when you're there in person.

  • This is awesome. The thing I don't get is why would a whole crowd pay to see this? >.>

  • Well, this was a convention so for the price of a normal concert ticket you party all weekend and see lots of cool stuff. And, well, how else are you going to see something this cool in person. You can't do it. Why does anybody do anything? Why would a whole crowd pay for football or pop music concerts? They work hard, for almost nothing but gas pay.

  • Hun don't defend us , we suck :-)

  • Tee hee, not everybody paid to see it! The staffers are there of their own volition... haha.

  • And what great staffers! This was probably one of the better perks! tee hee

---and paying or no-EVERYONE was there of their own volition, great minds and such......

  • Thats kewl. It uses a Tesla coil!

  • omg that was amazing i wish i could do that but me i know how to do very few thing haha but ya cudos to you ... i think imma try to learn to do that [=

  • whoa to comment below!! ITS POPTUB

  • Hey would it be possible to get a copy of the midi file you used for the drums?

  • dude that thing was doing all the song cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool!!!!!!!

  • Wow! very cool.

  • That is absolutely incredible.

  • Awesome in so many ways.

  • Thanks! By the way, the drums you hear are actually a robotic-acoustic MIDI controlled drum set, not the coils themselves.

  • Oh my god, that's incredible!

  • freakin awesome!!!1

  • So... the drums... was that the coil too?

  • yes

  • Pro

  • That Is AMAZING!!! :D

  • Those people made "some noise for the tesla coil!". Those people were CHEERING for an inanimate object.

    I wish I were them....

    I wish I had a tesla coil....

  • I wish I were a tesla coil...

  • I know, it wasn't even an inanimate carbon rod.

  • "In Rod We Trust"

    -Time Magazine

  • That was fast.

  • If that's not a nerdgasm, I dunno what is

  • Anyone doin parkour in this video would have got fried dude

  • Immense.

  • Nerds around the world have just jizzed in their pants.

  • i jizzed in your pants, is this cool?

  • oh god...this is why Tessla was so awesome
