I disagree that more present day cues, spec. the Al Quada mention, means that the story couldn't have happened earlier. The storyline doesn't really have any set era. There's a timeline - a chronological arrangement of events - but no era. The setting modernizes with real life but it doesn't reflect an in-story passage of time.

The relatively new "One Moment in Time" arc had Mary Jane owning a flat screen TV immediately after the day of the wedding.

Brilliant 101, but.. since when is the entirety of Spider-man all one continuing universe? There are a TON of different and entirely separate versions of Spider-man, so I think dismissing this is story for contiuity reasons downright SILLY.

I never assumed that there should be any continuity with this and the rest of the series, it's just a fantastic story based in Spider-man's world. I wish I knew where to buy the issues..
