The only thing I don't like about this particular clip is that it's OBVIOUSLY not actually live lol, it's just the album version playing in the background and it's why I always hated top of the pops.

Uh... Pulp, Oasis, Charlatans, Suede, Supergrass (though they were pretty awful... except for "Alright" which is classic) and yes as you said, The Verve.

The roses were the beginning man, they were fuckin great and all man, but what was to come was equally as top.

You're right. Ian and Mani well into it, John is almost there but Reni's just bored shitless and can't be bothered keeping in time with the track. This performance is their press conference defined. Ian waxing lyrical, Mani joining in occasionally, John and Reni bored and not saying anything.
