Debt collectors have the right to get mad, it is not right for people to buy whatever they want and never pay it back. That is NOT fair to people who ALWAYS pay their bills.

bill collectors act like the people they are talking to are doing something that they debt collector would not do if they wer ein the same situation. I promise you if the shoe was n the other foot, they would not give you their grocery or gas money.

I say screw them all. They took billions of dollars out of our pockets already in the ILLEGAL, UNCONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT BAIL OUT - It you're in debt that you can't pay....FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY. It's not as bad as you think it is. Talk to a lawyer. If you can't afford the lawyer, call your county's Bar Association, they will be able to point you in the right direction to get legal help.

They have criminally high interest rates, don't care if you will have a hard time paying you back, and yet still will loan to you, spam your mailbox with credit card offers. I'm not saying weak people dont go along with it but they are as bad as the tobacco industry.

the FDCPA does not cover business debt, and only covers collectors not debtors. this means that the original creditor of business debt can call you untill the cows come home. Some collections agencys dont realize that this only works for personal debt and can stop phone calls.

1 million in business debt and he "intends" to pay? When was the last time you paid the rent with an intention? Sounds more criminal than anything. If his business is bankrupt, then he should file for bankruptcy. FDCPA is intended for consumer debt, not business debt. I wish I could dispose of $1mil and then say I just didn't have it.

debt collectors are harmless. live in NH and default on loans there the judge acts like the debt collctor lol he collects you dry i witnessed a judge beat up a vietnam vet who didn't work for a few years he had him go to the veteran admin center to get a job and deal with a counselor ! be glad your talking to a debt collector and not that judge!the vet was like in his 60's! i was there for a traffic ticket i pleaded guilty when i saw what i was up against n thankd god i dont owe money

Been there, LOL. I actually was unemployed at the time but looking for work, and the collector insulted me by saying anybody can get a job at mcdonalds.
